Good job, I live only 30 kilometers from the Petrof factory in the Czech Republic 🙂

I hope you do some more restorations, with more major work, which we can all enjoy watching.

Well worth fixing up. To build this piano in the modern day the cost would be about USD 25,000.

Nice videos. I watched Part 1 and Part 2. Really helped me understand what’s needed to get a piano back to working condition. Also, helps me understand, a little, when to pass on fixing a piano and moving it in to up-cycling or recycling it. That’s my main focus.

You've done a wonderful job by putting these beautful pianos back into great condition. I love Petrovs and Weinbachs. I think you have under-priced your craftsmanship and would get a lot more in the US
    😊

The closer to Middle-C, the more the wear and tear, as you can anticipate, as the lowest and highest two octaves are hardly ever used.

I really enjoy your videos. Great job. (Btw I keep a little telescopic magnet handy to grab the hammer screw first time!)

Just a comment about leveling the keys (I'm no professional by any means, just an observer) -- After you lay your straight-edge on the keyboard to find the keys that are a bit low, how about simply trying different spacers between the key and the straight-edge until the gap is filled but the key is not depressed. Once you have done that for all of the low keys, you have the correct spacer for each key. You can do them individually or all at once. I'd suggest all at once (tape the spacer to the key once it is correct so that you don't get them mixed up). The reason for all at once is so that if one spacer is just a bit too thick, it will raise the key and alter the spacing of the keys to the left and right of the one you are adjusting. Just my 2-cents worth. (Maybe someone has already suggested this.) Another thought - if there are a LOT of low keys, there might be a spacer under the touching key(s) that has been installed that can be removed and/or adjusted to lower the high key(s).

Thank you for making these videos, it's fascinating to see the inner workings of a piano. Is it ever necessary to change the strings on a piano? Guitarists change them very frequently to help keep the sound bright, I expect it is a much bigger and more expensive job on a piano.

Nice piano well done, are those ivory keys?

I stand to be corrected but usually ivory keys have a cut across the key where it narrows around the black key. I couldn't see that in the video so I'm thinking not.
