Arbiter seriously needs his own Halo game, like either during the war as a covenant commander (or how he became one) they could also do one about the whole post Halo 3 trying to unify his people.
Nope definitely not. 343 have shown they are completely incapable of making a halo game that the fans want. Let the arbiter live in peace, without them butchering his story.
The fact that we don't get to see the true reunion between arbiter and chief is an absolute tragedy. I ain't just talking about the halo 5 ending where nothing happened. I mean a scene where they have at least a brief dialog.
If Bungie still made Halo it would be just a Chief story, they didn't wanted to use the Arbiter anymore because of the hate the character received in Halo 2, that's why in Halo 3 he is just a secondary character.
I would have preferred Bungie being passionate + not wanting to do Halo 4-6, rather than 343i having no passion + but wanting to do Halo 4-6. 343 dropped the ball three times, halo infinite doesn't even have a proper campaign. You know what would be cool? If we got an arbiter spin off game that takes place between the 4 years of 3 and 4. Having him fight wars against the newly formed covenant

I mean Arbiter was at this point the leader of the entire fleet, he would almost certainly have other duties, especially since he gives chase to the Pillar of Autumn.
To this day I stand by the opinion that the biggest flaw of Halo 3 was reducing the Arbiter’s screen time. It may have made sense back then (even though I still agreed he should’ve appeared more then too) but now Halo 3 would’ve been even better if Arbiter had more time to him. I don’t even mean split story like in Halo 2. They could’ve just had missions where Arbiter is player 1. Like Covenant, that’s a very Arbiter heavy mission. Or if Halo 3 was made today they could’ve had alternate stories. So all the time Chief is alone in a mission, is played by player one. And what Arbiter is doing at that time is played by player 2. That would’ve been cool.
Stuff like this shows 343 have no idea what they are doing. There is SO much that could be done with the aftermath of the Human-Covenant war, from so many angles and getting to see Arbiter handle the "what now?" after the war is over is one of them. But all we get is "somehow... the Covenant returned", then the Banished, the redder, meaner and edgier Covenant, and a bunch of plots that go nowhere around those two.
A big problem is that Halo 3 ends on a perfect note. The war is over, there's still a lot of healing to be done, but the various races can start on the long path to reconciliation. Lord Hood can't forgive the Sangheili, but there will come a time when forgiveness proves unnecessary because everyone will have forgotten, thid whole ordeal will have faded to history as all wars do.
