I only had the demo version, but it was honestly one of my favorite things in my 360 copy of Minecraft. From the Mission Halo in CE, to Valhalla from Halo 3, I loved every minute of it.
I played the shit out of this map with my son on our Xbox 360 Halo 3, 4, and Reach limited editions. I recall the biggest build we did was next to the mammoth, we built a larger transport with a trailer which was taller than the mammoth and had two levels with a interior vehicle elevator for warthogs and scorpions. We called it *”The Tauren”* and today I still revisit the map and always walk around “The Tauren” as my son moved to Missouri for college last year. My son placed a sign down when we finished building “The Tauren” and the sign states: “UNSC TAUREN, Built 2014, Number Of Components; 4,326,709” and yes we used a total of 4,326,709 blocks to build it.

I could not find out what the hell the buttons do. And the skull on that metal ridge bordering Valhalla is the only one I found There's so many secrets - I'm sure.
The thing I liked about these is that whenever they updated the game with most of these textures they'd update all the new content so there was always new stuff to see.
I thought I never heard about this until you mentioned the trial version. Then a bunch of memories were unlocked of me trying out the trial version with some friends in middle school. They've been updating the one in their new marketplace. Bought it, so worth it! They went back, added command blocks, turned it into a mini story! Each area is now a level, which has it's own unique minigame, and the last 'level', the ice one, combines everything you've used in the previous levels! They've added chests throughout the map in the different locations, The Didact's cryptum is no longer hollow, and is FILLED to the brim with TNT, ready to detonate with the throw of a UNSC grenade(flint and steel) or plasma grenade(fire charge)! And with each recent update like tridents, shields, and the newer mobs all getting Halo themed skins! Shields are now hunter shields, shulker boxes look like those colored barrels on "The Maw" from CE. I'd TOTALLY recommend checking out the newest version! The portal to the Didact was blocked by several iron gates that would disappear as you beat the levels. Each level had a mission to complete and the music discs were there to try and collect all of them (so in a way your skulls). BIG nostalgia hit i remember playing the mashup on the xbox one, i dont exactly remember when exactly I did but i do know it was around 2015 and it was awesome! (BIG NOSTALGIA)
If you actually walk around for a bit in the didact area of the nether, it gives you flint and steel (retextured as a grenade) and tells you to blow up the cryptum. Once you set it on fire, it starts playing warthog run and you have to get out of there. It's a cool explosion, as well.
I remember back in the day when I had no clue what halo was about, me and my brother would put TNT in the scarab and then one of us would blow it up and shoot fireworks inside it to make the explosion more epic while the other would watch it from their side of the screen. After that we’d reload the world and switch places for hours
God I remember playing this when I was really young, I always wondered how much I had to descover in halo since I had only played halo 4 at the time. I couldn't even recognise many things for example the rookie skin or some of the recreated maps. It was for sure a better time back then.
Put a jack'o latern on your head while playing with this pack, you will get the hud from halo 4 on while wearing it. I remember how me and my friends were so excited when we found this out.
Me and my cousin stayed up until like 2am transforming the scarab and mammoth into flood infested places it was fun we even build extra warthogs and ghosts and made craters around it to seem like there was a battle was going on or had happend Those were the days
This mashup pack was how I discovered Halo. It came with my Minecraft Xbox One Edition game and when I play Minecraft Bedrock on either PC or Xbox One, I still have the pack. Also, the Bedrock Edition version has some interesting things to do, like how you press the buttons on Guardian to get something, IDK what though, and you can explode the Cryptum in the nether by going inside and using tnt. Blood Gulch has capture the flag, which you just carry an item represented as the enemy flag and just win once you get to base.
I adored this as a kid on Xbox 360 edition, I spent countless hours just messing around with friends and enjoying the different nods to the old halo maps that I played with the same friends :)
Dude I still have and use this texture pack for some of my worlds in the current Minecraft version. Along with the Chinese Mythology and Skyrim Mashup packs. It's amazing and breath of fresh air!
I remember I built a really cool phantom on that map. I spent so LONG on it too, I was looking at a reference picture and everything. I wish I could some how get that back.
I found this on my 360 and had almost zero idea what halo was. It was so weird and I had no idea what any of the structures were. Now that I’ve played all the games I know what they were going for. Like when I played halo 4 and the mammoth mission came up I immediately remembered back to 6 or 7 years ago when I saw it on Minecraft
Ontop of one of the snowy mountains, there is a recreation of a snowbound tower. Also, you can break into the top of the valhalla wall, and there are lava rivers inside the mountain it’s connected to for some reason.
Dude I bought this the day it came out and I always went to the scarab and mammoth(?), all the pods and stuff, like, the nostalgia is gonna kill me :00
My very first time playing Minecraft was on this map, I was like 6 and the only reason why CE music is as nostalgic as it is for me despite the fact that the first time I played CE was in 2020 is because of this map, I don’t think I had even heard of Halo when I first played it. sometimes I miss being able to play the mash up packs for a bit without buying them, one of the things I loved the about legacy editions of Minecraft
i remember playing the demo of this a lot, because it only takes away your ability to save, and i also figured out how to do creative mode on the demo.

Very nostalgic for me, I hadn't played Halo back then, but I loved playing this map with my brother.
I have so many good memories with me and my friend back in 2014 playing before he moved away. Good days...
Wow, I remember this! This popping up in my recommended is nice seeing how the Halo Infinite mashup just dropped for the windows version
10:06 a (somewhat) obvious “red vs blue” S:1 E:1 reference!
I forgot all about this until just now, holy crap. 2014 was interesting indeed
oh man this brings me back, along with the fallout pack these were the packs I loved playing on the 360
I have a PS3-4 with Minecraft and I still have access to the Old Versions of Minecraft, I have the fantasy, realistic and halo texture/skin packs.
Me and my cousin stayed up until like 2am transforming the scarab and mammoth into flood infested places it was fun we even build extra warthogs and ghosts and made craters around it to seem like there was a battle was going on or had happend
Those were the days
This mashup pack was how I discovered Halo. It came with my Minecraft Xbox One Edition game and when I play Minecraft Bedrock on either PC or Xbox One, I still have the pack. Also, the Bedrock Edition version has some interesting things to do, like how you press the buttons on Guardian to get something, IDK what though, and you can explode the Cryptum in the nether by going inside and using tnt. Blood Gulch has capture the flag, which you just carry an item represented as the enemy flag and just win once you get to base.
And the my recent Minecraft world had the textures from this pack.
So cool, they really have come a long way when you look at the sonic and Star Wars ones
10:04 really love what was said here 😉
Its just one of life's greatest mysteries
The nostalgia I used to get while exploring this world was amazing and now I’m getting even more nostalgia from this video
I like how he pronounces Mojang moyang
Everyone gangsta until Flood Spiders
i still have the xbox one edition and i played all the mash ups
i remember playing the demo of this a lot, because it only takes away your ability to save, and i also figured out how to do creative mode on the demo.
