Thanks for this cool tutorial. I'm finished with one, and starting on the second now. I also knit, so I am thinking about making a knit ribbing at the top of each in black as this is for my 9yo and they want these to wear like thigh-high stockings. It's a great pattern!

Yes, love this old timer too :) gives me wonderful inspiration that leg warmers doesn't have to be 'boring or take too long to make. It's a nice rest Project as well, gonna make a few pairs for my daughters for Christmas! :)
I'm so excited for this! I loved my leg warmers so much and here in Texas it went from 90°f last week to the forecast saying the low is gonna be 30°f on Halloween!
I love you,so uplifting. Leg warmers here I go ,my granddaughter will love these with bee appliques, can you direct me to a pattern. I'm also making my signature green for myself.
hi Jayda I stumbled across ir channel because I was looking for leg warmers done in a different style. ur Piano color caught my eyes and it was the first video for leg warmers. I change colors without snip'n the yarn. I thank u much for the direction in which ur leg warmers are. im a new subscriber of ur tutorials. I love that u are do happy going, ur voice is pleasant, ur background is fun. the piano music fit the tutorial... when u walked to start, it remind me of how the guy from the kid dhow Blues Clues move around on the tv show. I enjoyed this video so much. Blessings for taking the time and all that is needed to create free tutorials for is to watch.
I'm going to have to try some of these leg warmers they look so warm and cosy just think how warm it would be with REALLY REALLY THICK YARN thanks for this video it really helped. Thanks Jayda 😊
Hi Jayda...just found your Channel, and I love it !!! I will be making the Leg Warmers for my Cold Walks here in Michigan, Thank You for a Wonderful Tutorial
Hi Verlinda! Thank you so much for dropping in :) And from beautiful Michigan! Then you know all about keeping warm! LOL As I write this, there are huge, lazy flakes of the pretty white stuff drifting down all around me...*sigh* It's so pretty, too bad it has to be so cold!
I love your videos, I have been inspired by you to learn to crochet! I have done seven of your projects. I am hoping to see a simple cardigan or sweater video sometime. I would love to be able to make a sweater that fits me and has arms long enough :)
i m going to make these but im making them to go over the knee. It is winter now and i am having horrible issues with my knees, i muttered to myself this morning i need knee warmers, 21 year old says to me crochet some so with a bit of adaptation i m gonna follow you and make some.
Hi! I did not block these because the edges were flat and weren't rolling. In this case, blocking would ease the stitches and make them a little larger so I didn't want to do that :) Thank you for watching!
Hi Melody, bulky weight would make very thick leg warmers, so technically, yes! But you might want to make a small sampler first to see if you like the thickness 😊
+jaydaInstitches I'm having issues, I was wondering if you have written instructions. Bc at beginning of each line I put hdc in the bottom of chain 2 then continue ..but it causes my ends the be all kinds of sizes. Should I just be skipping the turning chain that has that 2chain up thingy?
+LadyAdelinda Hi! The 2 turning chain doesn't count as a stitch in this pattern, so if you're working the hdc into the base of the ch-2 you're doing the right thing! If, however, you're working a hdc into the top of the ch-2 at the END of the row, you'll be adding an extra stitch that you don't need. We have to ignore the ch 2s in this pattern. But, if you have the right stitch count, then don't worry about the ends looking a little wobbly, you can always single crochet around the raw edges at the top and bottom (once they're sewn together) if you want to even things out a little :)
my name is belle and I love your vidioes and love how u make them fun .I love these leg warmers great xmas gifts I cant wait to make them do u have a facebook page ?
Hi Belle from Maine! Thank you for watching 😊 I'm not on Facebook, but I am on Pinterest, Instagram, Etsy and Google+, feel free to drop in and check them out!
Hey Jayda n Mr InStitches!, great video!! I’m trying to keep my legs warm for health reasons!! About your moving question… To U S… FIRST, be sure it’s a REPUBLICAN STATE!! Along the East coast line is nice, but you get hurricanes there!! It’s also humid n quite warm… Not so good for arthritis… Dryer states like parts of Texas …. Arizona has turned Democrat, but may change back this next election with some seats… Dem states like CA, NY, cost too much to live in I know, I live in CA n don’t make it done months!!!!! Done Republican states have no or little State income tax, also. Which is a huge good draw!!! They also stayed open during the pandemic, so have low unemployment… Less government giveaway…. Which means less taxes on citizens… Things to think about!! Al housing availability….

Omg love them can you show us how to make a pair with granny squares.
Thank you for the suggestion! 😊
Great job a little to advanced for me just for now lol.!!.they look great! How can i make an X aplique.
Hi J! Thank you for watching :) If you crochet 2 straight lines and stitch them together in the middle (in an X shape) that would work just fine :)
Wonderful tutorial. Only thing I might suggest is no black or dark colors .... I can’t see anything in the black, even when I watch this on my tv.
i m going to make these but im making them to go over the knee. It is winter now and i am having horrible issues with my knees, i muttered to myself this morning i need knee warmers, 21 year old says to me crochet some so with a bit of adaptation i m gonna follow you and make some.
Hi Gillian, that will work quite nicely, I hope they help warm up your knees 💗
This looks so cool I will have to have a go what days do you upload vids thanks
weekly! Usually one on the weekend 😊
Hi @Jayda do you block these after you make them so they dont stretch?
Hi! I did not block these because the edges were flat and weren't rolling. In this case, blocking would ease the stitches and make them a little larger so I didn't want to do that :) Thank you for watching!
I am using a striped yarn instead of changing colors
Any way of coming up with a knee heat pack that fits snug and comfy for sport injuries? My eldest asked to turn the leg warmers into knee warmers.
Thank you for the suggestion :)
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Can this be made with a bulky weight for kids ?
Hi Melody, bulky weight would make very thick leg warmers, so technically, yes! But you might want to make a small sampler first to see if you like the thickness 😊
Can you please make a diamond decal I want to make a "Harley Quinn" pair. Alaska in the winter is cold
Hi Phoenix, thank you for the suggestion!
