I have no idea why UA-cam recommended me this video because I have no interest in collecting coins, but I just sat and watched you sort through the entire bag. Maybe UA-cam knows me better than I know myself 🤔
Same. I forgot I had a tub of £2 coins that I used to just throw them in for saving. I will be going through it over the weekend.
me too I did think he's already done this
That's like me. I've never even searched anything to do with coins before and never shown any interest in it, but I sat through this entire video for absolutey no reason at all 😆
Ahh my bad, I watched a UA-cam short yesterday about some rare 2p coin worth £2,000 and I guess that is why this video was recommended...
Hahaha same for me
I’ve no interest in collecting coins, yet I still found this interesting.
I've no interest in reading comments regarding collecting coins, yet still.... no, I didn't find this interesting.
Same
I dont collect coins..but it is so infectious watching you go through the coins..love to see someone so passionate about their intrests
Agreed Matthew, mate. I've got into watching magnet fishing vids cos they're pretty interesting too.
@@hopebgood I am into Post 10 Channel, cleaning culverts out and wild camping, mad what you end up watching
I had an awesome discovery myself a few months back--the second rarest Lincoln Cent, the 1914 D. Found it in a jar, above the sink, where it must have been stashed for 50 years, at least...
We've got a £2 coin without a print on the silver bit in the middle. We took it to the royal mint a few years ago and nothing seemed to suggest it was fake so its pretty neat
I came across your channel by accident and within minutes I was hooked - your encyclopaedic knowledge and laid back commentary is very entertaining - love the quirkiness of the whole thing - looking forward to seeing more . Great job 👏 😉
totally agree mate....i just said the same..
Big up the Canvey Island massive. We used to occasionally go there for a summer holiday in the 80s to stay in some horrible dreary brown chalet on the seafront.
Not to mention the Gold MIne disco in the 70s.
I still can't believe those rare coins are worth over £2500 ! Wow, I'm off to the bank to start looking !
Congratulations on the fried egg! When I saw, Canvey on Sea, I thought, no it can’t be. I grew up in Essex, and 30 years ago, Canvey Island was considered, shall we say, a little rough. It seems some genius estate agent has managed to alter the image to such an extent, the post office is now called Canvey on Sea. Fabulous 😂😂
How has that not been found in 21 years of being made is beyond me! well until now congratulations.
I had one myself a good few years back and was worried greggs wasnt going to take it lol
Spiderman retired from crime fighting and now searches the multiverse for rare £2 coins. Who could known 🤷♂️
What’s the difference between divorced men and pigeons?
The pigeons are still capable of making deposits on new BMW’s
Hi Patrick did I tell you about a man I know who's addicted to brake fluid. He says he can stop anytime.
when I was a kid I was obsessed with holding on to special coins, maybe this is something I should get in to. seems like a fun hobby, and it's not exactly gambling hahaha
brilliant to be back myself after long illness , still ill but have enjoyed collecting for 60 years and do love your bag openings of all sorts
Every time I watch a post I remember getting a £2 coin with the silver middle section note seated/ not flat!! with part of it sticking out, I thought it must be a fake £2 and quickly got rid of it!!........It was most likely a defect £2 coin. I feel like a mug now.
Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [66] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
what a cool dude you are! i would love to have you as a mate! 😁 every two minuets i would be like, yo bro?! is this worth anything? what about this? 😆😆
This young man is like a young John Major
and down another youtube rabbit hole i go...
It's nearly midnight and for some reason UA-cam decided to show me this ... more annoyingly is that I then watched it ! Strangely relaxing - never knew coins had so many variations. 🙂
Bro exact same for me rn, 11:12 had long day and this is so relaxing
I got 80 of these from my bank, one bag had a whole bag of commemorative coins, best bag ever..
4:40 rare coin find 😉
Congrats on the 'Fried Egg Error', Christopher! Love the new towel...it won't show the grubby residue!
I think the fried egg error is harder to find than the Jane Austen. The Jane Austen NIFC was meant for collectors and not for circulation while the fried egg error is 100% unintended. I also enjoy error coins way more than NIFCs.
NIFCS - Not Intended For Circulation * ??????
@@berryj.greene7090 The s in "NIFCs" is not a part of the acronym.
Well done on finding the egg error Christopher . What a remarkable find 😁. Lovely Olympic Centenary find also .
"Standing on the shoulders of giants" is actual a big diss to Hooke, so even though it sounds like a profound thing to say, it was actually because Hooke accused Newton of plagiarising his work on light, which to be honest, he had to some extent, but Hooke and Newton hated each other, and Hooke was a short man, so Newton responsed with "If I have seen further (than you) it is by standing on the shoulders of GIANTS (and not small people like you)"
You are lucky to still have a bank where you can get the coins, our bank is
closing shortly.
Same as that, our bank is shutting, the nearest bank is about 3-4 miles away.
Unlike the majority of comments, I do collect coins. (Very small collection). UA-cam algorithm blessed me
UA-cam suggested this to me and I thought nah, coins are dull.
2 minutes in and I want to say I was spectacularly WRONG. This was absolutely fascinating. Thank you & subscribed.
A lot to love about watching this hunt. There was a great Oooohhhhh and it was only the second bag in. I'd never heard of the fried egg error so thank you for highliting it. But I've never seen you more excited about a wonky technology coin even after finding a 2015 Britannia and a London Olympiad coin. A great video 😁
U need to learn how to count
I was not aware of the fried egg error coin before. I will keep my eye out for one in the future.
Saw one being found live and ended up in my collection. Who remembers?
A brilliant error. 👍😎
FRIED EGG EH! NEVER HEARD OF THEM BUT NOW ILL BE LOOKIN
THANKS
I know nothing about coins except that I can buy stuff with them....yet I'm here watching this video and strangely addicted to these videos.
🤣🤣🤣👍
I'm absolutely scrambled over the error find ... only yoking, truly outstanding, best £2 find every I would say Christopher super happy days
Eggstatic?
Canvey Island is a seaside town.
many years ago at an engineering firm i used to work at we used to press the middle out and press it in the other way round
What an amazing find Christopher, congratulations!
How much is it worth?
@@petervolkovoy7516exactly that’s all I watched this video for as I’ve about 200 £2 coins all collectibles but I don’t know the value for any of them plus I’ve £5 coins and about 300 £1 coins most of which are the old style £1 coins so of no value other than to collectors then finally I also 50p coins and they are in the hundreds and both types the old large ones and the newer smaller ones then various other collectibles in coins .
Canvey island. By the sea in Essex
Canvey on sea is along the A13 in Essex before Southend on sea and has an amusement near the Beach.
My favourite find was that spiffing fried egg error coin! Fab. Made the grippers curl a little. Brill. 😄 CAAAAAMOOOOOOOON ENGURRLHANNDDDDDDDDD.
The egg is a great find, but the sight if you finding that stunning plush Jane Austen coin a while ago trumps it in my opinion
Brilliant egg error never seen anything like it,imo your star find of the hunt, shout out for the Olympic Centenary and 2015 Brittania.
All the best.
I enjoy watching these films. Makes a welcome change.
Didn’t know that error Existed until today, every day is a school day ! Great finds Christopher. Stay safe
How much is tat coin worth
@@fusiliers1someone said £2500 not bad for a £2 coin that’s been in circulation for 23years and only now been found. 😊😊
I had one of them egg coins but needed a pint of milk 🤨
I can’t remember how I found this channel but I absolutely love watching these coin hunts.
Same here. I find myself checking my chance all the time now
"Case of the diddly...." Quite a common experience when Coin Roll Hunting.
What a beauty that is! Bravo
Really pleased for you 👍
I notice on the obverse a similar thing has happened with the gold, not so much as the reverse tho.
Are they worth much ?
I know rarity doesn't always mean 'loadsa money ' , I just wondered about errors like that.
Britannia is my favourite reverse, the Romans used her image on reverse of some of their British coins , imo we should always have a coin with her on it's reverse, :)
Goddamn look at how he flips the coins. What a legend
Never heard of that error before. Thanks for the knowledge
Could Canvey on Sea possibly be Canvey Island in Essex😊
Eggselent find Christopher!
eggsactly what i was thinking
I was listening with headphones on and you just about deafened me ha ha.
Wow what an awesome egg error to find, to be honest I didn't know it existed until this video - so I'm glad I was here when you did. Nice one!
I do hope you had full English breakfast with that fried egg error🤣🤣 some other nice find’s as well👌👍
Although I love the Jane Austen coin, the "Fried Egg" 🍳 error has to be the better find. The Queen had a massive wart on her face as well! Will you be finding a space for the coin in your album(en)? 😂😂 Great Olympic and 2015 Britannia finds too. 👍
surprisingly, calming viewing. Who knew I would watch 15 minutes of this!
I used to work in a national cash center and know that many rare coins are taken by staff.
In 1956/57 it am about 5yo, a friend of my farther, had worked in the UK gas industry all his life gave me 3p bit. [suspect you can guess wats coming], being a bright lad I noted the difference to the other 3p bit coins. Non of us realised how significant an Edward 8th coin was. But in order to keep it safe I hid it in my bedroom, I forgot about it. What stays in a 5yo mind. We move a year or two later, and as far as I know the coin is still there. Go ahead you can weep now.
I have got two William Shakespeare ones a London Underground/Florence nightingale/world war 2/Trevithick invention industry and a Brunel one. If I where to sell them what would be the best price to sell them for. I also have a Peter rabbit 50p
Your local Spar would be best place to take them 😆
Like the purple cloth!
Love how fast your moving the coins lol, it was like watching a poker dealer in vegas!
An outstanding Egg Error Christopher, a fantastic spot. I’d be surprised if you was to find another like that anytime soon
Did you also notice the tear from Queens eye on the head side of the fried egg error...
Perhaps Canvey on Sea is another name for Canvey Island ?
Very nice. Can't grumble about that bag
Considering the fried egg £2 coin has been in circulation since 2001, that must be your best find.
looking at the coins your going through spotted one 9.44 1st coin face side edge 10.16 face side looks older face
Thanks gor sharing got a few good 2 quids myself.
That’s canvey island in Essex. Sometimes referred to as canvey on sea
Canvey is in Essex, and it's by the sea.
First visit….exciting….thank you for showing .
Congrats on the great find! I love it when treasures show up in these coin hunts!
The easiest way to check a fake £2 is try to pop out the middle
Great Find! Christopher. 🍳 💯 👍
Strangely therapeutic I am hooked.
I once got a £20 note from a cash point which had a big fold in it. Opened up, it had a clear un-printed strip running across it. I showed it to others who looked stunned and then declared it worth nothing but face value. I banked it because I really needed the money for what it was. I still think those who said it was worthless were lying through their teeth. That was over thirty years ago, so no internet to help negotiate the truth.
Yesterday, I saw a thing pop up on my news feed about a guy that had found a mis-stamped £2 coin and it was on ebay for £400. I had a look and it's the golden guinea. I thought " I have a coin tin with £1 and £2 coins in it - about £500, I wonder if I can find anything that is collectible - i'm no expert and I don't know that much about coins ). Anyway, I saw his coin, went through my 100 or so £2 coins and a Shakespeare - comedies, a rugby, a darwin and................... the same golden guinea coin with the same mis-stamping errors as the guy selling on ebay for £400. His coin looks like it's been dropped into a tumble-dryer with a bag of nuts and bolts, but mine is significantly better condition. Is the guy selling the coin on ebay deluded? Am I deluded, or do I have something worth something?
Canvey is in Essex
The fried egg error has to top the Jane Austin NIFC. The Jane Austin even though NIFC should exist the fried egg shouldn't. If that makes sense. Nice hunt well done Christopher brilliant hunt.
Great to see your videos and hope all is well.
1952 penny is a rare coin.
Canvey island is in the Thames Estuary a Large Oil and Gas Unloading port and has Canvey on Sea as a small town near it.
I came across a fried egg error but just assumed it was a forgery so didn't hang onto it. Little did I know!
I got a Scottish Bill of Rights £2 from the post office - dated 1989 and was solid brass not Bi-Colour!
Very, very interesting, you a great collection
I collect £2 for no other reason than they are too heavy in the change. Unfortunately I have never checked them before and came an emergency for cash I disposed of the bulk. I started over again but since Lockdown hardly use any cash. I'll go now and check mine. I'm anxious to see if I can do that coin flip that you do.... ! I store them in those old plastic film canisters. On checking I found nothing worh-while except one film! Thanks. Very entertaining. BTW - I won't sell !!
I have a two pound coin but without the silver middle, minted the first year they came out! They ll be jubilee ones minted coming out next next year surely!
Canvey Island, a touch of Essex and close to home.
Great reaction, I used to collect when I was a kid. I found a pig coin ‘advocates for the rights of man’ in a record player.
Fantastic error, always wanted to find one but to see one being found on a video is very rare.
As a window cleaner i get some good finds, i got £2 coin yesterday with the letter R in the middle
Is canvey on sea canvey island in Essex?
What a great hunt the egg error amazing well done Christopher.
The £2 coin before the egg one was dodgy as well, check the video back and look at the silver in it but I’m sure that’s a run/misprint as well maybe even a couple in that bag
4:47 fried egg error makes me laugh everytime
Fryed egg for sure. I would love to own one of it.
Canvey is in Essex in the Thames Estuary
