I have 8 of the Bee pound coins... the first one I got was the 'Strike Your Own' at the mint back in January... the other seven I got in change at my local fish and chip shop on 21st September
I know checking micro-writing is a little bonkers, but I might have checked for "Lefties" 2016 are quite common, 2017 less so, and much more scarce in following years
The Falkland Islands and St Helena are the only 2 territories with 12-sided pound coins currently, and neither uses the portrait on the UK ones. Gibraltar is supposedly switching to the new pound this year too, and they use an extremely similar portrait of Charles to ours, so if/when Bees become common you might need to check the reverse of any King pound coins
👍Have found quite a few of the bee £1 since they came out but still no elusive salmon 50p.i Wonder if you are more likely to find certain coins depending on where you live in the UK.
@PatrickGibson-wu8nm That doesn't mean the others have been released yet though, that only happens when they're needed. There are coins going back to 2021 which nobody has found circulating yet
I found my first bee £1 coin in my change from an Aldi self-service machine about four weeks ago, dated 2023. The other £1 coins that came out of the machine with it were the older QEII version.
I found a miss-strike 2016 pound coin in my change a few years ago in my change at a snooker club. Just given a bee pound coin at another snooker club I attend . I rate the miss strike coin as the better one . Never getting rid of that one .
I got two of the Bee's in my change this morning, the girl at the till mentioned the fact the Kings head was on them, but i did not fully register it was the Bee coins, lol.
I got a new Bee £1 in my change at the Royal Mint shop when I visited in September🎉😊 it was dated 2023. I have also bought the set of new coins for 2024, that has a 2024 Bee £. So that is 2 in my collection
I’ve got 14 of them 13 I got from the post office straight from the Mint to the post office so you might as well cause I’ve uncirculated and I’ve got one in my change and I’m keeping all of them. I think they’re absolutely beautiful
Hi Christopher, do you get frustrated when you don’t find the last coin like the Olympic triathlon 50p and do you keep the year 2000 coins in the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p to your world record? Jack
Can I ask you what your bank thinks of you drawing a certain amount of coins out and then after you've done with them checking them back in. I bet they hate it when you walk through the door! Lol😂
Hi Christopher I wandered if you know if or when the other coins are going to be in circulation. I've managed to find 2 £1 bees. Do you think that because it's more card payments these days they're not going to bother putting the rest out into circulation?
I got a bee £1 coin early in Oct in my change, I also have 11 20p coins with no date on them, I don't know what they are worth, knowing my luck they worth nothing, lol
I don't mean to be a show off, but in my work as a bus driver (working with loose cash) I've already had 2 of these through my change. One for me, and one for my missus.
Why are these coins so rare ? I have to ask ... maybe they havent been released into circulation... and I am still to find a 2021 and a 2022 [ low mintage too] old pound coins ... ..
I have loads of them, they are nothing special. I spend them as soon as I get them as I cannot stand big ears. The only thing that I will be keeping is the salmon 50p if ever I find one.
To buy £3000 of coins to find a coin does kind of smack of elitism. The rest of circulating coin community may find it a bit like removing circulating coins from the pot. Just saying
Maybe questions like the 10p hunt, I do like that!
I got my first 2023 bee coin last Thursday, it was given to me by someone who swapped it for another circulated one.
Just like buses. Wait for ages and three come along at once 😂😂😂
Very nice. Well done. Yes to making another one with £5k.
I already have a 500 bag full of these and have spent 40 quids worth for people to find 😊

That was a nice three Bee

i knew The Falkland Islands and St Helena already did but i didn't know Gibraltar is this year great thanks

Nice one. We were lucky enough to get 2 new £1 coins in our change at Morrisons St Andrews a couple of weeks ago.
Great video,
I think it would be interesting to see a 20p hunt to try and find the puffin or the 5p oak leaves.
Or some Territories. :)
i thought only the 50ps and £1 were realised
@ Me too but the mintage figures are now on the Royal Mint website and they have done every denomination besides £2 and £0.02 coin
@PatrickGibson-wu8nm That doesn't mean the others have been released yet though, that only happens when they're needed. There are coins going back to 2021 which nobody has found circulating yet
@ true there are the Britannia £2 coins which no one has found from recent years so I guess they must be in the long store
Fantastic Christopher enjoyed its 😊
I got my first new £1 coins today! Was definitely a shock to see in my till at work but super happy
Pollen of the flowers on the coins... :) No doubt, the bees cannot be far away!
Finally you can have a date-run of the £1 circulated coins. :)

A fun hunt! Six weeks paid off really well in the end!
I was starting to think you wasn’t gonna find any, but all of a sudden the finds started coming 😊 nice one 🤗
Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
Clean shaven when you started 😁, but the pink t-shirt might need a wash after wearing it week after week! 😂. 🐝🐝🐝

Well done, I do have a sealed bag of Bees but whether there the error ones.....I wouldn't know.
Got mine about a month ago. Got it from a bar I use a lot. They got a bag FULL of them. So I've a couple.
nice to see some out in the wild 😊 obviously you do 50ps but will you look for the other denomination too 🤔 keep up the great work mate 👍 🤘
I work at the co-op and I've only seen two so far, and I've opened a LOT of bags!
15:08 you can see it on the table
I have a 2006 £2 Brunel coin with a few mistakes. The two pound reads Dound and the edge is iffy . Is it worth anything
ive found 2 in my change still hard to find as there are over a billion nations of the crown and only around 10 million bees 1 pound
To Bee or not to Bee that is the question!
He's missed a trick with his video name here! 😅

I got one too when I was in Craig Tara doing the 2p machines
14:11 lol that man dont look very happy
I’ve got 14 of them 13 I got from the post office straight from the Mint to the post office so you might as well cause I’ve uncirculated and I’ve got one in my change and I’m keeping all of them. I think they’re absolutely beautiful
Please let us know when the other 2023 coins without privy marks are released!
Got it!! Lovely coin. 👌
I bought the new 1 pound coin from the UK for my collection.
is there rotation errors with the 1 pounds? and the edges
Definitely needs questions like the 10p hunts, but it's a great idea
Hi Christopher, that took a while well done Buddy. cheers. Stephen. PS Now you can B Happy.
If your doing 1 pound hunts why not do a definitive master set for the 12 sided pounds?
How much is a king Charles bee coin worth.
Hi Christopher, do you get frustrated when you don’t find the last coin like the Olympic triathlon 50p and do you keep the year 2000 coins in the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p to your world record? Jack
Wonder what the odds are to find one with the very last coin u looked at
I've not had one yet but Did love one off each off the set.
Can I ask you what your bank thinks of you drawing a certain amount of coins out and then after you've done with them checking them back in. I bet they hate it when you walk through the door! Lol😂

5:17 You're adjusting the camera and checking coins simultaneously...
Are you some kind of weird 4 armed man??? 😅
I found one a few months ago back. I have two 1 pound coins.
I got a bee £1 coin early in Oct in my change, I also have 11 20p coins with no date on them, I don't know what they are worth, knowing my luck they worth nothing, lol
i got one yesterday, they worth much?
Did the 2023 £1 or 2024 £1 go into circulation?
Yes more off this videos do all the coins
Great vid once again!
I don't mean to be a show off, but in my work as a bus driver (working with loose cash) I've already had 2 of these through my change. One for me, and one for my missus.
I haven’t got one yet, I asked a girl at a coffee shop if she’d seen them yet and she said yes they had spiders on them. 😂
Go directly to the end of the video to see the coin
Managed to get my hands on one today aswell!
Good job
Take the rest of them to your local arcade and convert them into another denomination, then you can have another hunt.
Why are these coins so rare ? I have to ask ... maybe they havent been released into circulation... and I am still to find a 2021 and a 2022 [ low mintage too] old pound coins ... ..
Bee-autiful 🐝
Very nice👍
Just think if you would have waited 5 weeks to start your bee hunt, you would only have to search one bag.
Fast forward video 😮
I got one in my change in McDonalds. I spent it 10 minutes later.
i have 3 bees just looking in just in change
wow £3000. you must be rich. and also this video now has 102 comments!
I have loads of them, they are nothing special. I spend them as soon as I get them as I cannot stand big ears. The only thing that I will be keeping is the salmon 50p if ever I find one.
I changed a £20 at a casino for £1 coins and got one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I got 1 in my change from asda lol
Sneeze count 4
£1 in the title, £2 in the description, inflation is fast these days!
Yeah, what's with the description - is it the £2 hunt or a bee coin hunt, £2 coins, £1 coins or what...>
I found 3 £1 bee coins 😁
I have 5 of the 1 pound coins I am collecting them from my change
2 bee or No 2 bees
Christopher wants another one
😂😂😂
👍👏👌🥰🥰
I found one about a month ago
They look bee autiful
I found one today
First 👍
I found 2 of the £1 coins
I found this a little difficult to watch, it was too quick for me, even though I know it probably needed to be.
Are you an beekeeper now ? 🐝🐝🐝
I got a bee coin in my change
I don't Bee-lieve it!
Your hunting for a a coin with. A huge mintage and no value. Seems a bit pointless ??
ive found 0 so far, what a world
I do’nt want the new pound I just want the 3000 pounds
What is so special about this coin
Because they’ve only recently gone into circulation and they are rare to find
cant watch these speeded up ones dont like them

Go and give your head a wobble
Go give your head a wobble mate
Go give your head a wobble mate
If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person on the planet.
Imagine a coin collector actually keeping a coin they find and not putting it back into circulation… it’s almost like that’s what coin collectors do
