Had a 2013 ST pushing 422whp back in 2014 and when you pull on all mustangs and Grandsport corvettes people were like wtf is that thing 😅. Now we need 600whp and more just to keep up. And thats why i have an RS with a fully built engine 😁 by Speed Performance. Focus for life!!!!
Shift arms are not really needed, they can be to notchy. Bushings definitely agree on and lsd makes a difference but its not needed until over 500whp. I would do a bsd before the lsd since the balance shaft gears tend to fail with higher hp builds.
I'm not seeing injectors as a mod upgrade....I have a 2016 FoST as well, same XDi HPFP, with RS injectors (100cc over ST ones), with a BNR3071 (.72 ar). I even have the RS spoiler, RS Brembos with SS lines, all Motul fluids, cPE lw FMIC, cPE cat-less dp, 3" SRS exhaust with a 14" resonator added to reduce drone, added a Maxton rear Valance (changes the entire look of the car!), and RPF1's (with Indy500s 255/35/18) that are much lighter than factory wheels. Full interior though with 2 child seats 😅 Even with Meth, I'm surprised that 2867 would hit 450whp without injectors or aux fuel. On E40 I hit 29psi and never dynoed, but it pulls on a lot of modded V8's. So I'm likely right around that number as well. Brian at JST estimated me around 410+whp, but I'm pretty certain based on the near 500whp V8's I've walked, and similar builds that've actually dyno'd, Im pushing more. Proper PCV set up and keeping temps low is the key to making that engine last. I just hit 97k miles, have been on this BT setup for just under 10k miles...and very recently noticed smoke on acceleration (with the Radium plate upgrade, i never saw an ounce of smoke up until now)..upon inspection, my cylinder 1 ringland must've failed because Im getting a ton of oil on the plug and the intake valves were COATED with nasty oil/carbon. Like 5x as much as cylinders 2,3, or 4. Other cylinders were normal build up. I cleaned them all up yesterday/today, updated some of my PCV set up (removed the supplied Radium fittin with check valve for a non check valve fitting which then goes to an OCC that has a check valve to the manifold), but i feel my failure is imminent as once a ring fails, its inevitable that its going to go. Beautiful car, sounds amazing. Looks like you have an RS shifter in there not mentioned in your mod list (1/2" shorter from ST i belive). Without a built bottom end though and very efficient PCV, it wont last too long. I would also recommend an ethanol sensor if you dont have one. It helps keep those E mixtures close to target. E85 is drastically better quality at some locations over others, and I've had my content creep up to E48, while using the usually accurate calculator. Least favorite thing about this car? easy..the rear lower valance is HORRIBLE looking. I added the Maxton as stated above, changes the entire look of the side/rear profile.
Yea stock fuel hpfp pump maxes at 360 whp on 93 and the st injectors max at 420whp with a xdi pump, i run 542whp on stock fuel system but with 65lb 4 port full e85.
@@WhiteblurrST what turbo are you running to hit 542whp? i was hoping for 500whp on my BNR71 with the XDi pump and XDi injectors, but on E50@29psi, I prob wont be hitting 500whp from what I'm hearing now..but close to it. I may have to jump into a G30-660.
@@dham99 i was using the 7163efr with sxe compressor housing, turbosmart iwg75 with 17psi spring. I got the vdyno i can show you it. Im switching to the g35-900 now on my stroker build.

Ill be happy at or very close to 500whp (BNR71, XDi hpfp/injectors, E50)..dont plan on changing out my turbo but if i did, Id prob just grab a g30-660 and tune for low to mid 500's and call it a day. We'll see if the BNR lasts being maxed out..I'm not terribly hard on my cars but I do tend to not back down to a fight when someone tries me on the highway 😅
@dham99 well let me know because i got a new scooter v2 manifold for external wastegate, you just need a dump tube, i also got the atp adapter for stock location downpipe.
Slept on cars pushing 400whp/400tq in my on e30/3071. Very stout motor in comparison to the 2.3. Most the the 2.3 guys revert to this motors closed deck design for reliable power. Start pushing this power in one of those you're on borrowed time. Buddies got same power as this guy and never had any major issue with 150k miles. I am at 100k. These get a bad rap because the people who redline them and lug the engine outside of boost like a NA car.
I actually have a very similar set up, but the BNR3071 .72ar, E40, Xdi hpfp/RS injectors, etc... and Ive just started getting blow by in cylinder 1 (oil covered plug and major build up on the intake valves). So I dont redline mine, i havent raced on the BT yet (used to a lot on the stock turbo FBO/E30), and i take great maintenance care of my car. But less than 10k miles (went big turbo at 87k, at 97k now) and im likely going to have to pull the engine soon if it doesnt last after altering my PCV set up and cleaning the intake valves. i think there are a bunch of factors that can cause an engine to fail, i dont hoon mine or lspi it, and the charge temps are always near ambient. Some just dont hold i guess 🤷♂

I got a aem v3 , had a v2 from 2015- 2020 loved it. Ran a duel spray setup on big turbo for years.

Shift arms are not really needed, they can be to notchy. Bushings definitely agree on and lsd makes a difference but its not needed until over 500whp. I would do a bsd before the lsd since the balance shaft gears tend to fail with higher hp builds.

Stock turbo sucks on these cars. My stock turbo blew up my head but my block was still good .
