Dude same I’ve had my st for like couple months and well I said I would keep it stock for a while but I already got a mishimoto intercooler ,bov,Cobb access port, intake, symposer delete pretty much next is bigger turbo with better fueling I want 400hp and 450-500 tq so hopefully I can hit that 🤙🏼
man I'm a srt4 kind a guy, but after fixing a ton of wrecked ST and some had mods on them they sound really good and pull hard. easily my next car to build once the neon fever ends.
I was the same way before I bought my st! They are a great car to transition to! Definitely a more comfy/reliable/luxury feel to them over the srt’s. Either way both a wicked cars.
Man as a fellow stock st owner I would have loved more info like how much you spent on the build, what made you want to get all those suspension parts, and how satisfied are you with the build and driveability compared to stock
I’m stage 2 rn just got my intercooler in, and honestly if you’re gonna keep it as a daily I wouldn’t give in to the itch of modding it, but that being said it is way fun only thing that sucks is I spin a lot in 1st n 2nd if I just give it the gas
It’s expensive as fuck. More then 3k j for big turbo + you have to get a bov you can’t use a bpv, so piping for intercooler is 500 + the bov 300+ n then a tune it’s pricey
Cpe keeps the charge air temps low 80s consistently the Mishimoto seemed like it was running hotter plus he went bigger turbo so more heat needed a better intercooler
@@momynator3000 You need to be moving for them to do anything, mishimoto is just fine, my cpe rises all the time during stop and go traffic around 100° when I'm cruising high speed and stays ambient so does my buddies mishi
I like the build... Nice touch on the parts. My only concern would be the life of your turbo. That sound is cool and all when you let off the throttle but that pressure build up needs to go somewhere. Keep building and enjoy bro
@@blueeyeswhiteguy3399 Yea, but if you're getting compressor surge (sound) that means your spring rate in the bov isn't the correct one for your vaccum levels at idle or high rpm deceleration. Which means the pressure waves are traveling back to the compressor wheel creating that sound, leading to your turbos life being lessened. That only means the spring rate is too high. Needs to be lower to be able to open when the throttle plate closes.
big turbo upgrade probably $2500, intercooler $800, intake $300, exhaust and down pipe $1300, and tuned $500. and other little miscellaneous things. probably in the ballpark of $5500
tbh without Aux fuel you're definitely only looking at around 350hp, also not sure why you switched out the mishimoto intercooler, even if the CPE has a bigger core it wont make that much of a difference even on big turbo.
Funny, my 2016 ST is almost the exact build...I just bought the BNR3071 though which is the biggest difference in parts. I run the cPE lightweight FMIC, it makes a HUGE difference and is better than most FMIC's. Im curious if your CEL is from your cat-less DP...i have the CNT Racing cat-less dp and cat-back exhaust, but i never had a CEL on mine. Very cool build... still got it or did you sell?
dhamm99 Hey buddy Nice car set up. Mine is just like your set up. How much horsepower does the car make with the BNR big turbo. let me know I ready to go big turbo and seeing what is out there. Thanks
It is but you need to keep maintaining the car all the time. Change your oil every 3k miles and change spark plugs every 30k. I would also recommend walnut blasting the intake values every 30k as well. Otherwise I've had mine for 4 years and put 70k on it and other than what I listed above it needed a rear motor mount after I put any amount of power to it.
Hey bro your CEL is on, might wanna get that looked at. Lol jk. I like the build, I've got a 2013 Focus ST3 I'm gonna be putting money into, so far I've got the cobb turboback exhaust system and a turbosmart blowoff. Any recommendations on what to put money into next? I can't decide, my budget is 1000$ / 4 months
Hey, great video. So i just bought a 2014 Ford Focus S for my first car. And i was wanting to do it it up. Is there any point of putting a Turbo in it? or should i just wait a few years and upgrade to the ST ?
@@S3Magazine alright, cause i was planning on having the car for awhile and also. Is the ST model very similar? Like if i watch videos about doing an ST up while that still work with the S model?
I have a question. I have same intake but a gtx3071r gen 2. I lost boost when using their 2j intake. Incredibly disappointed since I waited years for it
The music is fuckin this video hard. Maybe upload version without musoc so we can hear car better. WE WANNA HEAR THEM WRENCHES TURN AND THEM KNUCKLES BURN BB. but sick car mang. Hope i can throw some nice stuff on my 18' ST.👌
Good effort. Sounds pretty good. Can't say the same about the backing track though!

@Scott Andy Instablaster :)
We have a 2018 ST with all the upgrades. It’s such a fun car. We almost bought a Type R but it felt so much like a regular sedan. The ST has attitude.
Music is wayyyy too loud
Wayyyyy too loud

Oh man the motivation you are giving me to dump every dollar into my st😂, awesome build man👍
Same here

Good stuff, i was 542whp last year on my 2.0 build. Finishing up my stroker build now.

That turbo😭🤪😮💨😶🌫️

What was the reason for buying another intercooler? With your setup either would have worked.
400whp without port injection?
(X) Doubt
I was thinking the same thing
Can but 415 whp on mine required a 3 nozzle meth kit, NF race mix & a custom map....new stage 3 clutch, flywheel & lsd was the end result.
Have you had any issues with the none keyed crack? I heard they like to jump time around the 400hp mark
What video did you watch for the turbo install? I have my kit sitting here for a few months, and have been dragging my feet on getting it installed.
Nice car, dude.
Link to the big turbo video?

That’s what the blow off installation was for though no? Blow off was installed on the black cold side of the intercooler.
That's what blow off valves are for

dooo eeeeet!
Why did you switch intercoolers?
Mishimoto ain’t the best especially for BT. Should be a spreadsheet on a ST form for more info.

really tho i felt played because i got the mishimoto 😂. last steps for this guy is coils, aux fuel, and built motor.
What exhaust and cat did you guys use for this project?

you listed two different types of turbo which one is it lol

how much horse power does it have
350whp -360 max. Block horsepower probably almost 400… needs an aux kit to make 400 whp
What wheel set up was that
Konig Freeform Radium Bronze 18x9
Is that 2j intake or custom?
We Enjoy watching your channel 👌 Great vibes , We definitely support big time 🥂😎
Is this on stock block? How long have you been driving the car with bigger turbo?
It’s stock block and on his IG I think he said almost 3k miles
Just right!:)
How did you guys install it?
We didn't, this Focus ST was the development vehicle for 2J so they did the work while designing the intake.
Can you make a video how to install a tune?
I don’t understand why you changed intercoolers
The CPE is lighter and had larger fins for better air flow.

Whats aux?
@@blueeyeswhiteguy3399 aux fuel

Custom tune and FMIC will get you all the power you can get without going big turbo 👍🏻
dude I was trying to figure out how to shut off the music 😵
So you’re making 400… with no aux fuel?

Jonathan Mendez Probably need to have your tune adjusted. The focus went big turbo after the intake and is still making proper boost on a 2867 gen 2
This video would be so much better without the music, whose idea was it to add this soundtrack?
The music is little bit annoying.
Not a bad way to spend 10k dollars
10 GRAND. At least get the quote right! hahaha

Probably closer to 12k or more than what the car is worth today...
Should have done built motor first.
