Always love how genuine Winston is even with all of the demons he has faced 🖤
WhatsApp demons do you mean? Did he have a rough time in his life?
@@paddy8630 same question
I love the way they build the song up and put emotion into it it's like you can feel that dark heavy energy just radiating off of him he is a amazing performer when displaying that and I feel like you can really relate to his struggle like we all have gone to that dark place.
Can't wait boys! Thanks for keeping a special place in my heart! Keep progressing and evolving. There's no way backwards. KEEN!
PWD has helped me get through some of my darkest days. Been about 10 years now I've been listening to them. You guys are amazing. I can't wait for the new album!
Love you guys man
Even if I'm not 100% sold on the sound of this album Winston can make anything sound interesting so I'm excited for the album!!
I’m hyped for this
Love this band and I love the evolution of their music. Every album sounds different and yet still amazing. My favourite band 👍🏻
Great questions
Ich freu mich auf September, in Berlin ! See you in September !
everything they do when it comes to their music is awesome! parkway drive is the best in my opinion.
Excited for the album. I do really hope there are some more elements of their old music in some of the songs than the singles.
I can't wait for my copy of the album to arrive, I will play it on my discman while on the go. Winston can make everything sounding so interesting so yeah I can't wait 🙂
I only know PWD from their singles, but I have been keeping an eye on them for quite sometime, Glitch is ok for me, nothing special but the second single I really dig it, hopefully more songs are like this one or harder. I ordered the album and as well I am waiting for Atlas. Old days sound more genuine but we will see.
👍
I’m so fu**** exited for this album,
How
@@siim605 what do you mean how? Cuz there amazing
@@allmetal7320 Not sure. I think Atlas is the last album they made where they still sounded like classic Parkway Drive
@@siim605 but why does a band need to keep the same sound forever? I mean people change and stuf. You probably don’t listen to the same music as 10 years ago
@@allmetal7320 I actually do, sometimes. If it's good, it's good. I just think I'd rather see Parkway repeating a formula that works, rather than producing something that's unlistenable to me, but that's my point of view. Same goes for Architects - the last album is such a disappointment...
Xited
get the feeling you can kiss growls and screams goodbye on this new album
He’s still doing both
I hate 😒 but it will take me some of more people 6th
If they are following Metallicas trajectory, we have 2-3 more album cycles before the return to horizons/deep blue sound.
God I hope you're right
Which could mean that we have to wait another 10 years.
Sounds to me, the music they did at the beginning of their career would be too easy. Sounds like they like the way they can challenge themselves with music.
@@edschobs5204 Their first 4 albums are much more technical than their recent releases
@@Jesus4Guitar according to what he is saying, they weren’t. Basically as Novices they did what their limitations were. They clearly consider what they are doing now, more technical
New PWD is hard as Nickelback
No.
haven't liked the new singles at all wish they would go back and make some hard fast music instead of the slow riff stuff but watevs, they can o what they want
Well. Just spent 14 minutes to hear Winston gave up on heavy vocals that founded parkway drive, so sad cause that music has helped so many people through hard times in life. Oh well. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Hopefully wage war keeps up with the heavy side of metalcore and not the pop punk shit everyone is doing
Wage War is like the pop punk of metalcore lol
He didn’t give up on anything YOU are assuming that you dope
How do you know the new record won’t help anyone through their own dark times? Two minutes in, he’s explaining the overall meaning of the album and I have to say it’s eerily reflective of what I’ve been through the last few years….
First
There Arena rock now . It’s not bad but i like anything from atlas back
It feels like Parkway has been stuck in exactly the same sound for 3 records straight, and the more interviews they do, the less genuine it comes across.
The overly simple style they’ve adopted now (ridiculously simple drums, basic repeating riffs, reused simple breakdowns, reused melodies, etc) is not for me or any of my friends who liked them at one point. Their lyrics also feel like someone was tasked with writing ‘angry very serious sounds’ but not feeling them at all. It’s weird. Compare Deep Blue & Atlas to everything they’ve done since, lyrically & musically, and it doesn’t even compare.
I genuinely hope they are happy with what they produce, and I’m sure it’s great for their target audience, European festivals goers who don’t really know them, but everything after Atlas has felt simplified to the point of it almost being funny, while lyrics suffer & the band just constantly seems busy trying to convince everyone about something they are not genuine about.
Yeah I am not sure why they don't appreciate the freaking music that even put them on the map, they kinda diss on it
I wonder if Winston truly believes what he is saying in this interview
The greatest fear is maybe the most cringe song i've heard this year, it was so bad.
