You gotta do the live clip "who is gonna be the one" Tati is a beast mode rock star but the band really shines in this one especially Eugene the bass player is a monster
A few facts about this concert: - This song wasn't supposed to be the last on their set but since they were new to the festival, they were one of the first bands on the bill that day and on a secondary stage (they played at around 11 AM). Some problems with the stage gear delayed the start of their set, that's why they had to cut it short. - This song was right after Pisces. There's also a video of that song at this festival and the end and the beginning of the two videos overlap. - The vocal harmonies you heard in the calmer part were added to the live audio in post. However, just like the spoken part at the beginning of this song, they use multiple kinds of backing tracks live, including vocal harmonies recorded by Tatiana for the studio albums. They're launched by Vlad (the drummer), along with a click track that they all have in their in-ears so that things are always in sync.
I agree with Nick M; "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) would be a great follow up reaction to this performance. Good reaction and analysis.
Great reaction chaps. My personal favourite Jinjer songs are Pit of Consciousness (live in Kiev is phenomenal) and Vortex at the moment, but they really don't have a duff song. I hope you keep up your journey with them, be it for reactions or your own private enjoyment because they truly deserve as many fans and as much success as possible. It's also worth having Tatiana's lyrics available too because she writes beautiful, soul touching poetry.
Thank you!! Not enough people talk about her poetry! This song in particular is one of my favorites lyrically. She’s talking about the earth and talking about adolescence and young people coming of age and coming into their own.
Glad to be here for part 2 of your Jinjer Journey! Jinjer are my favorite band of all time, and master musicians. Tati is phenomenal in every sense of the word. Jinjer has very good official music videos, but my favorites are the live performances, they are one of the rare bands that sound just as good or better live than a studio version. A good follow-up to this song would be an older one, "Who is Gonna Be the One" (Live Version). My 3 favorite most recent live performances are "Pit of Consciousness" and "On the Top (Live in Kiev) and "Vortex" (Hellfest Live 2021), and any/all of those would be great choices as well. Looking forward to the next one!
The really crazy thing about Tatiana is she doesn't do any of the things that she should as a vocalist, no warm ups, smokes ect, and she still delivers night after night and this band maintains a crazy busy touring schedule (and has for over a decade) Awesome reaction and I hope to see more Jinjer on your channel!
Good one men! I discovered Jinjer not a long time ago but they became one of my favorite bands. I suggest you some live performances, "Pit Of Consciousness" and "On The Top" Live in Kiev, both great and the entire official "Live in Melbourne" is amazing, hard to pick one... The Tatiana's "One take vocal performance" of "Judgement and Punishment" is outstanding as well...
I have been a Jinjer fan for about 5 years, I looking forward to seeing more Jinjer reactions. Who is going to be the one live in Kiev is one of my personal favorites. Pit of consciousness live in Kiev is one of their epic performances.
Great reaction! Amazing band to enjoy every single song and the great performance and technical skills. I want to suggest you "Pit of conciousness" Live at Kiev
One of my personal favorites from Jinjer is I Speak Astronomy, and it definitely reflects the style elements you mentioned, but with a completely different look for Tatiana.
Nice job guys, loving the Jinjer reactions! I agree that “Teacher Teacher “ is a good choice for next reaction from them but I would argue for the OMV. It’s not that they aren’t fantastic live but with some exceptions the audio quality doesn’t do them justice. On the other hand almost all of their OMVs are amazing and Teacher Teacher is one of the best. Not to distract from Jinjer but another band you should check out is Unleash the Archers. They are from Vancouver and also signed to Napalm Records. I don’t think they get nearly as much love as they deserve. I recommend “Awakening” as your first listen. It’s a full band play through video so you can clearly see how talented they all are. I think you will love it! As always, cheers from West Texas 😎🤘🏻
Loved the reaction Chris and Sam. You are following the typical order most do when first hearing and reacting to Jinjer... "Pisces" followed by the 2019 live Wacken Open Air performance of "Perennial," which is a good starting point when diving into the rabbit hole which is the group's discography. I would also recommend "Who Is Gonna Be The One" or "Words of Wisdom" live from Atlas which is on Napalm's UA-cam channel. I also second the suggestions for "I Speak Astronomy" and "Teacher, Teacher." For similar bands, there is a lesser known Swedish group called Kassogtha which started in 2018 consisting of Stéphanie Huguenin as the lead singer who flips between harsh and clean vocals like Jinjer's Tatiana, Mortimer Baud on guitar and backing vocals, Martin Burger on guitar, Valerian Burki on bass, and Dylan Watson on the drums. For first listen of Kassogtha, I'd go with the official live video of "Complacency," which you can find on Kassogtha's official UA-cam channel. You'll also get recommendations for Spiritbox if you haven't already, a Canadian act which features vocalist Courtney LaPlante, guitarist Mike Stringer, currently Zev Rose on drums who replaced Ryan Loerke in 2020, and Josh Gilbert on bass who replaced Bill Crook last year. For first listen, I'd recommend something from SirusXM Liquid Metal livestream show they did during the COVID Pandemic in 2020. Part 1which is just under 8 minutes long, and includes two tracks, one of their heavier songs "Holy Roller" and another which is more standard fare for their style, "Rule of Nines." The video is Spiritbox - SiriusXM Liquid Metal "Metal Detector" Live Show (Pt.1) and is on Spiritbox's official channel.
Hey guys, I love your appreciation for the musicianship of this band. You might enjoy their songs "Judgement & Punishment", "I Speak Astronomy" or "Teacher, Teacher!"... They incorporate different sounds in those you haven't heard yet! Keep up the great reactions and have fun~
Who is gonny be the one (the official video is a live video) actually shows, how they can START a concert, while what you just saw was the end of a concert. So expect it to be even more energetic. Some really good growls in this one. "On the Top" and "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiev are out of this world live performances. Leaving me in awe each time I watch them. If you want one of their superb studio / video productions, "Home Back" is not only an extraordinary composition with some of the best growls ever, but also a brutal and meaningful example of how a great music video should look like.
I am an old school metal head going back to the early 80's and Jinjer is top 5 for me. I was into Maiden 82-83 and totally thought that thrash metal would take over when the big 4 were killin' it in the mid 80's. Then Pantera changed the rules in the 90's, then numeral took over. Jinjer could be that band that changes the rules and makes every other band up their game to stay in the scene. I have seen them live twice and join an elite few as must see when they are within a couple hours geographically. 🤘
You'll get a lot of requests for "Pit of Consiousness" Live in Kiev, which is great but I'd suggest the official video for it's stunning black & white cinematography. For the Kiev show I prefer "On The Top" to the studio version. For their most recent album, "Vortex". You'll be hard pressed to find a mediocre Jinjer song, so it's all good.
I love your reactions to their musicianship! I'd recommend Who is gonna be the one (live), Teacher Teacher, Judgement and Punishment (one take vocal cover), and Vortex.
For complexity, you should listen to I Speak Astronomy. It shifts through four time signatures in the first minute and has a killer riff in the first two verses.
I got to see them live in Atlanta in December, they were incredible. What an awesome band! They don't have a bad song, but to really see how good they are live I'd recommend "Pit of Consciousness" (live in Kiev).
I enjoy your commentary - thank you! Some of my personal faves or reaction that you haven't covered yet are Home Back OMV or live at Hellfest 2021, Ape OMV or One-shot Live from Mystic Festival 2019, Pit of Consciousness OMV or live in Kiev, Vortex OMV or live at Hellfest, I Speak Astronomy OMV or live at Summer Breeze, Captain Clock live at Resurrectionfest (guitar mix is poor, but Tatiana's on fire throughout this concert), Outlander official live (from about 7 years ago, when they still had 2 guitarists & Tati still had dreadlocks), Mediator OMV, Who Is Gonna Be The One official live. There are many, many others very worth reacting to. I'm a big fan of studio / live double features. Cheers!
You have to remember this is not a new band. They have been beating the road with hit after hit all the while their homeland is in a war. I was introduced to the band with "On the Top," and have loved every song since. The drummer is the newest member.
The next rabbitwhole who is wery deep is Nightwish Symphonicmetalband The singer Floor Jansen is on a the next lewel Start with Ghost love score Live from Wacken 2013 Toumas the guy who play the keyboard and is the the composer is called the MetalMozart
If you guys like dynamic, I'd highly recommend either Tati's one-take of "Judgement and Punishment" (there, you can see her vocals 100%), or their music video for "Wallflower". Having said that, it's hard to pick a bad Jinjer song! I'm also a fan of "I Speak Astronomy" because the dynamics are wild in that one too.
Thanks guys for another interesting reaction. Im here with new band suggestion. What about checking electronicore metal idol band called Passcode. I really recommend their live performances. 'Trace' 2018 live is perfect starter.
Correction, Band Maid has never played at Wacken, nor will they probably ever be invited. The band you're thinking of is Lovebites (The first Japanese all-female band to play there)
If you wanna see Jinjer do something heavier check out an older song of their's called Sit Stay Rollover! I'd also suggest Who's Gonna Be the One the live version!
Just on the phone? Or , maybe a, hey, look at this special photo I managed to snap at just the right second? (I think I saw more than one person looking at that phone.) Guess we'll never know but a phone is more than just a phone nowadays. (Or even more than just a gateway to the internetz.)
Hey guys, I like your reactions but I don't like the click bait title. This clearly isn't your first time reacting to Jinjer. It's deceptive for your first time viewers. Keep it up guys, you guys are cool...
You gotta do the live clip "who is gonna be the one" Tati is a beast mode rock star but the band really shines in this one especially Eugene the bass player is a monster
love that performance:-)
The drummer is the classically trained pianist. I've heard he taught himself to play drums because that's what the band needed.
there is a clip of him playing a classical piece on the piano. he is really good too!
Teacher Teacher, I Speak Astronomy, or Outlander would all be great choices for your next Jinjer song.
"Teacher Teacher" live is my favourite gateway track (after Pisces) to their great catalogue.
I prefer the official video
Nice reaction! Next: Captain Clock live at Resurrection Fest, Cloud Factory OLV, Teacher Teacher.. NJoy!!!!
That captain clock video is horrible to understand anything, if you're not familiar with the song
@@mendronesg Maybe... but stage presence of Tati is amazing in this one!🤘
JINJER - Cloud Factory (Official Live Video) | Napalm Records
This band is glorious! There are no bad songs.. none. A fun one is, Who's gonna be the one. If you like the addition of a cool video.. Vortex.
A few facts about this concert:

Thanks for all of the info!
If you think you have them nailed down...you will see, 'sit, stay, roll over', 'home back', 'vortex', no end to variety and their musicality
Add 'Call Me Symbol' and 'Disclosure' and you've got my top 5.
I agree with Nick M; "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) would be a great follow up reaction to this performance. Good reaction and analysis.

Jinjer is my love. The love that came after fifty. Everything that was before cannot be compared with this.

React to "who is gonna be the one", their best live performance
I don't normally listen to metal but I love this band and I love her amazing voice what a talent and the band is awesome
JINJER, my favorite band...
Jinjer is their own GENRE Queen T can lay waste to many vocalists. That is ALL
Great reaction!
Amazing band to enjoy every single song and the great performance and technical skills.
I want to suggest you
"Pit of conciousness"
Live at Kiev

I will be at Wacken for the first time this year. I'm so excited! Jinjer is coming too!
Hey guys you need to know this song "Spiritbox - circle with me" the vocalist is so talented
Amazing band!

It's hard for me to have a favourite, but Who is going to be the one 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🔥🔥 live version, love JINJER
judgement and punishment has a regae vibe and is also amazing
I think you would like Who is Gonna Be the One live and you might also try one of their older ones like No HoardofValue or Plus or Minus.
She doesn't do anything to protect her voice. She's just gifted as fuck and loves to prove it. She's completely self taught with the growls.
a nice song about autumn 🤘
Who is gonny be the one (the official video is a live video) actually shows, how they can START a concert, while what you just saw was the end of a concert. So expect it to be even more energetic. Some really good growls in this one.

Try Vortex, it brings the technical aspects of Jinjer to the fore.

Check out some Unleash the Archers. AWAKENING, and Infected Rain, FIGHTER or PASSERBY

Having said that, it's hard to pick a bad Jinjer song! I'm also a fan of "I Speak Astronomy" because the dynamics are wild in that one too.
You should check out Textures. They were a great band. 2 of it's members have a new band called Crown Compass you should check out to.
Good reaction. This was a closing song of a set. Now try the opening. React to Who Is Gonna Be the One live.
Thanks guys for another interesting reaction. Im here with new band suggestion.
What about checking electronicore metal idol band called Passcode. I really recommend their live performances. 'Trace' 2018 live is perfect starter.
listen to outlander next, yung tati is even more of a beast
Correction, Band Maid has never played at Wacken, nor will they probably ever be invited. The band you're thinking of is Lovebites (The first Japanese all-female band to play there)
Pit of consciousness live in Kiev is their hardest song
Since you like Jinjer, you ought to check out Tati's friend Lena.
The band is Infected Rain and I would suggest "Orphan Soul" as your intro to them.
Please check out Who is gonna be the one live by Jinjer!)
Pit of Counsciouness (prog).
Who is gona be the onde (heavy)
Pit of Consciusness live
Unleash the Archers - Awaking....wanna talk about vocals and technical ability...
You guys should listen to the shadow by Shawn james
Check out jinjer judgement and punishment one take vocal track
Home Back is a must. It is about the War in Ukraine.
Subbed for more jinjer. Please react to " pit of consciousness " live from Kiev. It's fucking amazing. Best band on the planet currently.
Could you guys please react to the band Turmion Kätilöt? 🤘🤩
BAND-MAID hasn't performed at Wacken.
Please react Mimpi Yang Sempurna - Peterpan - Rock Cover By Jeje GuitarAddict ft Anetjka
imagine during the best vocal part of the song the commentators instead talk about somebody in the audience. that would be embarassing.
Hey guys, I like your reactions but I don't like the click bait title. This clearly isn't your first time reacting to Jinjer. It's deceptive for your first time viewers. Keep it up guys, you guys are cool...
I actually didn't notice the title was imported from another video. I corrected it. Wasn't intentional! Sorry about that!
Dude?!...really?...you had to pause it there?...smh
That would be a big no for me LMAO this is ridiculous to bad they did not use there talent for some real music.
