About 5 years ago I bought tailored handmade boots made out of italian leather for about 200euros.

As an Italian. The prices are literally the same in whole European Union for every brand. Sometimes prices in other currencies (DKK, SEK, CZK, ...) are a bit higher though. Maybe there's a few stores you can't find in a neighbouring country. But they're rare.
It is actually much worse than other equivalents in Turkey in terms of price and fabric quality. Ramsey, Boyner and some of other brands sometimes make much better clother with much better price.

Turkey easily wins the list. They have fantastic, reliable local brands. You get good leather products at a fraction of a price somewhere outside Turkey. Ive bought dresses and sandals from both street shops and “mall” shops a few years back in Turkey, and til now theyre all still holding up.

If you want to go on a shopping spree on a budget, visit Bangladesh. If you buy a decent amount of clothing you certainly have or will notice a lot of them are made in Bangladesh. But the very same clothes get marked up hundreds of percentage points in western markets. A lot of the clothes which were intended to be exported for whatever reason doesn’t end up being shipped off, and you can get them very cheaply.

As a native Turkish living in Germany, I can confirm this. Got so many fake branded clothes, the quality of them got truly insane and the price is still pretty cheap. Although it did increase lately but it's still much cheaper. To top off your style, also make sure to look for watches. There are some really nice high quality ones looking like a Submarine or similar for as little as 15€. I still have some clothes from about 10 years ago from there and it's still fine.

Honestly here in Italy you can buy even 100% linen summer shirts for like 40/50€, it's great. I simply guess here the clothes culture is different so we have so many options, that same applies to food and culture. As a sports fan for example I envy the US for how many sports you can watch there every single day and for how cool the sports culture is with the fans gathering together to enjoy sport. It's great !

Uniqlo is great. I like more “plain” clothes, and Uniqlo has that in spades. Excellent quality as well, especially their jogger pants and sweaters. Their clothes also fit me well as I have wide shoulders and a pretty small waist. Same with Zara. Other brands just tend to be too boxy for me.
