To me, Ray Holman is one of the biggest artists in all the story of Doctor Who, I absolutely love every piece of costume he designed over the course of years, truly inspirational, thank you for your art mr holman
I've never paid that close attention to the costumes before, other than "THEY LOOK AMAZING WOW" but I missed quite a lot of details they mentioned... Looking forward to my rewatch, will look out for them. Ray Holman is a genius, truly a wonderful artist! Thank you!
I love that we have an entire video praising Ray's work. He is truly a brilliant mind and has been the backbone of one of the greatest aspects of Chibnall's era. The costumes and character design! I really hope he remains on the show during RTD's new era.
Ray and his team did a wonderful job. The series was visually striking.
I like the blue sontarans but these look like a proper upgrade of the originals
Regardless of my feeling on Chibnall’s who, these folks put their hearts and souls into the show and I respect that.
Well from a point of view chibnall did to but the fans clearly didn't like 11-13 series which is just there opinion but I'm sure chibnall is proud and he should be

Swarm and Azure's designs are some of my favorites in all of Doctor Who. They're so opulent and over the top while still being elegant and powerful. I noticed the attention to detail immediately. They're modern with the crystals but vintage with the buttons at the same time. They're made up of so many crazy elements but so expertly put together. And the makeup just went perfectly with each costume, and the makeup is impressive and glittery and gorgeous in and of itself. I would love to see some behind the scenes work on the makeup. In general, I'd love to see a book on just the character designs of this show.
The costume design was one of the consistently excellent parts of Flux. Well done Ray for going above and beyond what was necessary!

I can't be the only one that got a Cenobite/Hellraiser vibe off Swarm & Azure? The beautiful grotesque nature of their outfit and appearance really made them fascinating to stare at.
I know people are criticizing Chibnall’s writing right now, but I hope credit can be given to the design, directing, and acting.

@@adamburke4738 Didn’t say editing. The editing has been bad, that scene with Tecteun in Episode 3 should have been cut. It completely contradicted Episode 5.
@@_MyNameIsAJ_ Have to disagree. Loved the sea shots in the Angels episode, and the distance shots in the Sontaran episode.
People Fear Change, because outcome of change is unknown. Because people worry that change would cause negative outcome or dangerous outcome.
My favourite outfit of series 13 was the one that Yaz wore in the last two episodes. Perfect. I would like to see that style on a future female doctor.

I think the only spinoff that probably going to be doing is animated movies here pretty soonI think the studios are in shutting down again because right now in London it is getting pretty bad with the virus
@@blackmagic3880 Only advice I can give you is drink the the equivalent of 8 pounds of water every single day. You cannot catch a virus or bacterial infection. That's just 1 gallon of water! My now late cousin told me that back in 1973. Never been sick a day since then, never took a vaccine since then either as it would be flushed out anyway. What did Robert Cade MD know?

I cannot say the same for the whole Whitaker/Chibnall era but Holman is a visionary and innovator as same as June Hudson.
I just rewatched flux all the way through, such a brilliant story, the finale was sooo much better upon both rewatch and rewatch with the rest, and I even loved it the first time round! My favourite series.

The only issue I had was who was his character? Why was he so central and why did he seem to vanish from the storyline?

Chibnall wrote the best Sontaran story in the new show - fight me!
I’ll give Chris Chibnall that, when it’s concerned classic villains such as the Dalek, Cybermen and now the Sontarans he really does nail them in the writing department as making them threatening and dangerous!
I suspect it was meant to be a bigger story, but got downsized due to the pandemic. It's a shame. I really enjoyed them.

It's a shame that such good effects are wasted on chibnall's era.
I prefer the effects and costume designs from series 1 to 10, but 11 to 13 really knocked it out of the park. And to have it used on poor scripts, it really makes the show seem like it cares more for looks than actual plot.
Personally I adored this series, I just watched it all the way through and it was like a 6 hour film, loved it

Have you thought about trying to do your own animated movies for Doctor Who maybe through Warner Brothers I have a couple suggestions you might like to try Doctor Who /The next generation simulation number onefrom IDW comics or Or doing your own doctor radio dramas on UA-cam or even doing a crossover with the real ghostbusters are the transformers or Voltron Or DC comicsanimated moviesOr having WB to do their own animated version OfDoctor Who
They did 6 episode ones for David Tennant and honestly I think it'd be more fun animated
