I have been in many countries in Europe, Asia but at the end of each trip I expect the day to come back to Vietnam where I will meet my family and friends, can eat what I wanted ! Enjoy please!
I was so happy to hear you guys not pronounce phở like "f-oh"..😂 I lived in Vietnam (Hanoi) for a year! It's definitely an intense place, and there's a lot of "hustle". They will work hard for your money, and it can certainly be intimidating coming from a Western country (I'm also Canadian)..but Vietnam is an incredible place, with amazing people. You guys will have a great time! The language barrier will continue to be a thing though. There's (understandably) not a lot of English spoken- but people will be happy even if you try using basic greetings (even if you butcher them). By the way- you had such trouble finding egg coffee because it's a Northern thing- Hanoi specifically. You should give a go there if you head North. 😃 Man, I miss Vietnamese coffee and food! 🤤
Haha we made sure to ask how to pronounce it!! We didn’t want to make that mistake! 😂 it was most defs a intense first day but so much fun!! The coffee is some of the best we have ever had!! My goodness we are obsessed 😍 The language barrier is probably also the most difficult we have had to figure out but it’s all part of the journey. 🙏🏼 Ahhh makes sense why we couldn’t find it! 😂 hopefully you will be able to make your way back some day to enjoy all your favourites!
I’m from Vietnam. And now i’m living in Sweden. And six year I have not come back to vietnam . Finally this year I’m gonna go to Vietnam yay I’m so happy.
I am from Vietnam but I am living in Sweden now .and I have not come to Vietnam in six year and finally this year I meet my family and my mom. I miss them really much. this year three months more i’m gonna go to Vietnam .I’m so happy yay .are you guys still in Vietnam now.
Omg the egg coffee was so rich and creamy hhaha super delicious and packed with protein! The heights are always the worst part.. 😂 Thanks so much as always ♥️♥️

Aw shucks hehe! We do our best, it was such a fun day and we are glad you enjoyed coming along with us. The Philippines will absolutely see us again some day! 🥰
Hilarious - loved this video! I have spent several months living in Danang between 2018-2022 - just might retire there - you reminded me why I like it so much - the people, the beach, the food, the weather!
Wow!I'm still watching your vlog even your in Vietnam.I feel I'm traveling also with you guys. Thank you for sharing every culture of country you visit.Hoping to see you again here in Philippines.Love you guys😊
Yay! That makes us so happy, glad you are enjoying this little adventure of ours wherever we may roam 🥰 the Philippines hasn’t seen the end of us! Can’t wait to go back! Cheers ♥️
There's seafood pho, veggie pho. That bowl in California and most of America will cost you $13 to $15 US dollars now plus tax. And on top of that tips so that rounds up to almost $20 for a bowl. You can get 15 bowls of pho for the price of 1 bowl in America! Insane! I gotta move to Vietnam one day to try it out.
Oh wow! That’s so expensive! That’s the same at Canada.. I don’t think we could pay for pho now when we go back 😂🙏🏼 it’s just a bowl of broth, noodles and a little meat.. but it’s AMAZING! Haha yes you do!
I went back to Chase and Shelbs' channel coz i finally went to Da Nang!! The place is so lit! hahahahaha Yes, the coffee in Vietnam is super good, be it you are in Da Nang or in Ho Chi Minh. This is also what I am coming after! This channel inspired me to post more of my travel videos! Thanks Chase and Shelbs! more love from Philippines ❤❤❤
There isn't a seafood pho, but recently western fancy pho restaurants have been adding lobsters to their bowls. There is though something called Seafood Hu Tieu. It has a bit of squid, fake crab, fish ball, and shrimp. Sometimes with bbq pork! It's broth is lighter in flavor than pho, it doesn't use cinnamon and star anise. You don't use hoison sauce or sriracha. More like chili oil and squeeze of lime. It's actually something nice if you're looking for a light broth noodle soup! Also, not trying to offend you but soysauce in pho is almost taboo! Not saying you can't, but like 90% of the vietnamese would not use it! Loving your vlogs btw!!
Ahh okay! I think the star anise and cinnamon totally makes the pho 😍 though we wouldn’t mind some lobster hehe.. and also thank you for letting us know. We were newbys and the lady at the restaurant didn’t speak any English!! We have since learned that’s a no go 😂👏🏼💕
Love the intro guys 😍 also ....how is it SO hard to find egg coffee?! Seems like you guys went to so many places! idk how much we'd like that, but it's definitely true about getting breakfast and coffee at the same time 🤣
Thanks you two 😘 apparently it’s a northern Vietnam thing? Whoops 😂 we were determined haha!! It was pretty delicious but the bac xiu coffee in Vietnam has our hearts, it’s life changing! 🙏🏼🙃
Pilipinos in the Philippines can speak and communicate in english well and that is something we should be proud of ……and yeah Shelby, you are absolutely correct girl😊❤👍
Will be flying to Danang for the first time in 9 days. Excited. Your road crossing skill is impressive. As a Viet living abroad, i am scared of the road crossing in Vietnam.
Yay! Have so much fun! We loved da nang. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the food was delish. Don’t be scared just be cautious! You will get used to it! 🙏🏼♥️
Newcomers find it difficult to cross the street in Vietnam, but once they get used to it, crossing the street in Vietnam is still the safest and most comfortable.😊
I wanna try Vietnamese coffee, some of the vloggers I follow from Australia said it is really that good. Wow, you having a blast in Vietnam is great to know! Eventhough I took a sneak peek at your IG, you're in a different place already. Anyways, have fun!!! #Team4KForChaseAndShelbs
Omg it’s actually the best coffee we have ever had anywhere!! The bac xiu is to die for, you would love it! 🙏🏼 But honestly they are all good hhha! And yes we are! Can’t wait for those videos to come out too.. we have quite the lineup and fun adventures ahead 🥰
Hi Shelby! Hi Chase!😍 New adventure for the Lovely bubbly duo.🤗 Stay safe Guys! Have more fun like you have fun here in the Philippines. Take care Guys!❤
I am surprised to see the video of Da Namg. 55 years back, Da Nang was the scene of ferocious battles between the North Vietnamese forces and the US and Vietcong
@@ChaseandShelbs the salted coffee in here is different haha two separately layers of Coffee, form cheese mix with salt and the coffee as well. It seems an innovation.
Wow,your there already in Vietnam. Have a nice day both i know Vietnam was also beautiful and more to explore too spectacular tourist spots. Have fun and enjoy your adventure and make memories both. Love you happy couple. Stay healthy and be safe always..
Nah don't go to Mui Ne or Vung Tau. The best and cleanest beaches in Vietnam are in Phu Quoc and in the central Vietnam by Ca Na with the clear blue water and arid desert like landscape and around Tuy Hoa. Nha Trang offshore islands have nice beaches too. Vung Tau beaches are very average and nothing special. It's jus a quiet chilled small city.
This is the first video I have watched on your channel and I become a subscriber right after watching it. You guys are such a cute couple. You bring energetic and positive vibes to your viewers. Hope you will visit more places in Vietnam in the future.
That Phoa looks so good, it's been years since I had one in Manila. There's a Vietnamese restaurant here in Baguio City but haven't tried it yet but seeing your video,I think it's time.
7:00 is the Saw leaf (or Mùi Ngò Gai in Vietnamese) I live in London and I found them in Vietnamese or Chinese store. There is seafood phở (squid, shrimp, fishcake, etc) but it is less common as mostly found in big restaurants. If u have time, I recommend you guys to try Bún Bò Huế (Vermicelli beef soup in Huế style). It has pork roll and beef. and Bún Riêu (Vermicelli Crab Soup) this is my favorite and most of the Vietnamese love it but it might not for some Westerners because the Minced Crab I think. But it's worth to give it a try. It has minced crab, tofu, fishcake, tomato, etc. Like Pho has seasoning that u can put in such as Hoisin sauce, chili sauce. Bun Rieu has shrimp paste (Mắm Tôm) but I recommend not to put this one in when u first try it. Me and my friend normally just eat Bun Rieu without the shrimp paste. I think u guys should try Bún Bò Huế (Bull Bore - Huế) first and then Bún Riêu (Bull Real). This is how u pronoun the name in English hahaha. Enjoy your trip in Vietnam guys !!!
I'm a Canadian school teacher and I ended up teaching in Da Nang for 2 years I really enjoyed seeing your video. I recognize all the spots you visited and I used to live right by the Dragon Bridge.
Love your videos! Baha…what was the phone mat for? 😂 Would you go bk to Da nang + spend a month? I’m thinking about it bc food + rent are so affordable + beach looks like a beautiful space!
That's plum sause. Some people use a small cup to pour plum sause and chili sause together so they can dip the meat in while the eat together with noodle and broth. The green leaf is Culandro. When people smell Culandro, they know its go with pho.
I just subscribed to your channel . Hope you will enjoy Vietnam . If you will be going to Hanoi , you will find a lot of coffee houses serving Egg Coffee there because that kind of drink is originating from this city
Da Nang's a nice city, Guys! I wonder why nobody else has been there on UA-cam before? Anyway, Vietnamese coffee or tea is the best in the world. I am sure you'll be addicted!

The herb that you love to add in phở called culantro - rau ngò gai in Vietnamese. We use that one in some Vietnamese dishes, it tastes so good. And the crispy beef is made from the brisket point
Hey guys, love your videos. I'm from Gatineau, Quebec and planning to move to Da Nang in one year, probably to retire and stay there for a long time and of course travel parts of Asia. Did I hear you say that you are Canadians? If so, where in Canada are you from ?
Chào mừng các bạn đã đến Việt Nam quê hương của tôi. Yêu các bạn nhiều lắm và sẽ luôn theo dõi các bạn. Quan trọng nhất là tôi đã đăng ký kênh của bạn 😅😅😅😅
Oh no at 1:30 the worker had a very different dialect that even was hard for me to understand and so you might get confused when traversing South/Central/Northern Vietnam. The Vietnamese lady's pronunciation of "Dừa" started with a "Z" sound instead of the southern style that I'm used to with a "Y" sound. Her pronunciation of the other words were slightly different too so that tripped me up a bit. It's good to know the spelling of words and connect them so specific foods to help you along, in case you run into different accents/dialects like this lol. 6:25 If you're eating Southern Style Pho or even with Northern style if provided, it's good to squeeze Hoison & Sriracha into a small sauce dish to dip your meat in to. It's not the worst thing in the world to add it to the broth but you can easily ruin it that way and I would typically only suggest if you really know what you're doing and expert at Pho. You really want to know if you're broth is good or not, and squeezing a ton of Hoison/Sriracha can mask the depth of the broth. A dash might not hurt tho tbh, but i've ruined many broths by adding too much. The leaf Chase was adding to his Pho was "culantro", and one should not be adding soy sauce at all to a Pho broth as that is not something that's really anywhere, but hey it takes time to become accustomed to so many different world cuisines, so I'm not judging! To answer Shelby, shrimp is not a protein added to pho. I would search Pho Bo (aka Beef Pho) and Google should pull up a meats guide. Typical meats available are: - Tai (thin sliced rare steak) - Chin (brisket) - Nam (flank) - Ve Don (crunchy flank) - Gau (fatty flank) - Gan (tendon) - Sach (tripe) - Bo Vien (Meatball) As you can see from my list, this restaurant did not have an accurate descriptive menu so that was unfortunate. As for Chase's order Gau was mislabeled as crispy, but it's actually fatty flank as we all saw when it came out lol; a crispy flank would be Ve Don, and it looks like this meat wasn't available but you should see it depending on the spot you go to. The biggest concern/attn to detail for the waiter will be what meats you want, and 9/10 to be safe you'll just want to make sure "Tai" is apart of your order you can even do that alone to keep things super basic. And then name any other meats you want with it. Example one would say Pho Tai(meat1) + (meat2) + (meat3). My super safe order for anyone that doesn't want to step outside the box too much is Pho Tai Chin Nam (rare steak, brisket, flank). It's okay that you guys aren't experts or anything as newbies, it was daunting at first for me too with all the variations, but once you understand the meat selection and the order structure it's so easy!
How did we know you would.. ;) ♥️ because you are the best and so supportive that’s why! We have enjoyed the food and especially the COFFEE so much!! 😍

18:18 it's call ''Banh ich'' in Vietnamese. They use Glutinous rice flour for the outside, and the filling is fry green bean or fry copra meat (with sugar). You guys had tried the fry copra meat in this video.
Welcome to Vietnam finally. Lunch looked so yummy. Hate to say it swings looked slow. It was a kiddie coaster. Really like that last ride. Before the wheel. Really enjoyed video.
The egg coffee is created in Hanoi the northern region of Vietnam. You can easily find it there. I'm not sure if you're aware but areas in vietnam like the south, middle and north all have their own style of making food and specialize in a certain dishes. From my observations, it seems Southern food is much more flavorful and it gets less flavorful as you move north but still good nonetheless!
We didn’t realize it would be so hard to find (obviously because it’s not from the central region haha) but at last we found it and it was super good! We will make sure to travel south next time around. Our trip was short this time but needless to say we are hooked on Vietnamese food 😏🤣

The herb that you love to add in phở called culantro - rau ngò gai in Vietnamese. We use that one in some Vietnamese dishes, it tastes so good. And the crispy beef is made from the brisket point
Thanks for the info! 😃
@@ChaseandShelbs Yep, it's called culantro or sawtooth herb. :) The reason you didn't like it is because it's got similarities to cilantro.
The herb that you added to Pho was culantro, beside basil of course.
17:50 If I'm not wrong, that called Bánh Giò and u gonna need the soybean sauce or chillies sauce to enjoy it.
Have fun in Vietnam, Love from the Philippines! :D
Thanks friend! Can’t wait to go back some day 😍
Hey guys, love your videos. I'm from Gatineau, Quebec and planning to move to Da Nang in one year, probably to retire and stay there for a long time and of course travel parts of Asia. Did I hear you say that you are Canadians? If so, where in Canada are you from ?
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 Da nang is a great place to retire. We are from British Columbia! ☺️
Your pronunciation of "Phở" was a perfect southern accent
🥰🥰

Welcome to Viet Nam. Thank you for visiting our country.
Thank you so much ♥️
Oh no at 1:30 the worker had a very different dialect that even was hard for me to understand and so you might get confused when traversing South/Central/Northern Vietnam.
Typical meats available are:
- Tai (thin sliced rare steak)
- Chin (brisket)
- Nam (flank)
- Ve Don (crunchy flank)
- Gau (fatty flank)
- Gan (tendon)
- Sach (tripe)
- Bo Vien (Meatball)
As you can see from my list, this restaurant did not have an accurate descriptive menu so that was unfortunate.
Yeah we have chicken pho, seafood pho and of course beef pho hope you enjoy Vietnam and be safe
Thank you 💕💕
Thank you so much🙏!!
The leaf was sawleaf, it’s kinda common in every single Vietnam noodle soups
those long leaves are Ngo Gai = Culantro. a must have when you eat Pho.

18:18 it's call ''Banh ich'' in Vietnamese. They use Glutinous rice flour for the outside, and the filling is fry green bean or fry copra meat (with sugar). You guys had tried the fry copra meat in this video.
Oh thank you! That’s exactly what it looked like 😊
Welcome to Vietnam finally. Lunch looked so yummy. Hate to say it swings looked slow. It was a kiddie coaster. Really like that last ride. Before the wheel. Really enjoyed video.
Thanks drew! Lunch was the best 😍 honestly the whole day was so much fun, no complaints! So glad you enjoyed it 💕
Hey Chase, you looked bewildered eating that chewy perokii like thing, probably cow tongue and wood worms. 😆 🤣 😂
OMG 😂😂😂 we totally laughed at this hahahah it was interesting for sure!
Really love your videos. So funny and joyfull. Take care and be safe.
That is so sweet, thank you!! Take care 🥰
