Hue is one of the best destinations in Vietnam, but many tourists don't choose. Hoping both of you enjoy the time there, and remember getting a lot of foods, because Hue gets tons of delicious things.
FYI: Most of the buildings were destroyed during the war. A huge sad. I don't know if you guys visit the Khai Dinh tomb yet. I definitely recommend that place. The architecture and the texture are absolutely unique. You can also find a lot of invaluable photos there.
Hahah thank you! I almost died (at least it felt that way at the time) 😂😂 Thank you ♥️ And yes it does.. we are still scarred from the shrimp paste lol!
It rained the entire three days I was in Hue. I was wearing a transparent plastic poncho the whole time and my shoes were all wet. Watching your video, I feel I must go back.
I enjoyed your video a lot. Thanks. How did you get to the city from Phu Bai International Airport ? Do I have to worry about any scam that may happen along the way from the airport? I mean didn't you have any trouble with a taxi ?
I want to visit there next month - both Da Nang and Hue. Flying from Saigon. As there are 2 airports there, should I fly to Da Nang, find accommodations there and day trip to Hue, or should I fly to (and stay in) Hue and day trip to Da Nang? I have 5 days. Which of the 2 cities should I devote more time to?
I couldn't agree more they jacked up their prices like 10 times but in Hue, they tend to be more honest compared to other regions in Vietnam, at least from what I've experienced.
It’s an interesting place that’s for sure! We think it’s cool though that you can really cross whenever you think it’s good to do so. Whereas other parts in the world you have to wait for quite a long time with some traffic.. 😂 the sunglasses have stuck with me and are going strong hehe thank you ♥️ Glad you enjoyed this one! Have the best day 😊
What's up guys? Sorry I forgot to make a comment on the last video. Chase looks good with shades and Shelby you're stunning as always. Luv yah guys! ❤️🙏
Nice vlog. Shouldn't he be on a leash? Glad to find your channel while we are actively planning our next trip to film in SE Asia in August. Hoping to swim a lot. Subed to follow along. In 1968 , during the Têt offensive , many buildings in the imperial palace were damaged or destroyed by bombs and other weapons from both belligerents ( American / South Vietnamese vs North Vietnamese / Viêt Cong )
Oh wow, amazing video right here! Thank you for your sharing! Can I repost your channel on another platform called Ganjing World? Everything will be kept as is with full credit and sources. Please let me know.
Wow! That Imperial City was beautiful like a smaller version of Beijing's Forbidden City! Why have we not heard of it before? ...must be another timeline?
@@ChaseandShelbs Funny that you were walking your "blonde dog", but you're a bigger blonde Shelbs! But not in the way you suggest. Never looked at Chase like that before...haha. To me, he is avuncular more than anything. :-)
HI CRASUS IYOY. DID YOU KNOW THAT THE BEIJING'S FORBIDDEN CITY WAS DESIGN BY A VIETNAMESE ARCHITECT. HE WAS KIDNAP AND BROUGHT THERE BY THE MING'S DYNASTY IN THE 14 CENTURY. HIS NAME WAS NGUYEN AN.
@@thanhnguyen-zs6vy Wow! Is that right? I never heard of that before.I would assume the Chinese do not go around talking about that even if it were true. In fact I've been there and I am sure the Chinese are too proud to say anything about that.
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not runs and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.
Just gonna point this out - why do you need to haggle so hard over $1 for sunglasses? that $1 makes no difference to you, but does to them. So what if they've marked up their price a bit for you.
Why does it matter to you? Most places in Southeast Asia are EXTREMELY marked up. We get comment all the time saying that we have been overcharged at markets. So please have a little grace. $1 is important to us and it adds up. We and the seller were both happy in the end so that’s what’s important ☺️
Those shots are amazing!! It’s like the work done by the filmmaker or something. Definitely a MASTERPIECE✨ Really love your videos🤍. Also that sunglasses really looks good on you Shelby!😎. And as a Southeast Asian, I never get used to crossing the road that way too! Kinda scary lol 😂
Wow thank you!! You always make us feel so special. 🥹💕 it’s great to know that we aren’t alone! I always wondered if locals had a hard time as well or if it’s just foreigners!? 😂
Nice video, you should try this restaurant. Yummy dishes . Restaurant name Quan Hanh, not so far from 'french district'. Every time i go back to Hue, from Paris, France, this is my favourite restaurant 11-15 Đường Phó Đức Chính, Phú Hội, Thành phố Huế, Thừa Thiên Huế, Viêt Nam
I heard that this imperial city is designed copy of the forbidden city of China, as ancient VN and other East Asian countries (Japan, Korea) adopted Chinese culture.
Majority of the structures within the Imperial City were destroyed during the war by American artillery. They are currently trying to recreate some of the original structures.
In Vietnam we took busses everywhere we went, which ended up being a private car for the same price sometimes. Since there many people traveling back and forth.
Hey! 💕 we are actually from Prince George. We are practically neighbours lol. Have the best time. The food is incredible and yes we did. We have since left Vietnam and are in a new country 😊
I adore Hue!! Beautiful city,,, make sure you search for the best Bun Bo Hue soup (better than Pho in my opinion ), and my favorite desert called "Che Heo Quay" means bbq pork sweet desert!!! Enjoy!!
We visited a couple places that were incredible. We LOVE Bun Bo hue! We didn’t manage to try that dessert but we will add it to our list for next time 🥰
Wackass Hue foods gave me food poisoning the same morning I was flying back to the US. Had to poop every 3hrs for 24hrs. And this was like 4 days ago lol
Hue is near sacred ground for US Marines. You both walk through it like a visitor to Disneyland. Kinda disrespectful to the lives lost in that terrible battle.
I always find it funny when Americans say things like "sacred ground for US Marines" (whom fought a war that never should have been fought)....thousands of million more Vietnamese people died in that war...but no mention for them. That shows how callous and disrespectful you are to human lives in general.

It’s a lovely place, the good and history was incredible!! 😍
Is sad that the government do not put any money in to reconstruct the imperial palace Just looking at it seems like neglected.
You guys are funny and adorable. Loved it. Going to Vietnam in a month … so thanks for the cool video about Hue.

Great video guys! We were in Vietnam a few months ago but didn't get the chance to go to Hue, maybe next time 😀
Thank you! 🥰 it’s so full of history and we can’t rave about the food enough!
Maybe you should visit Thien Mu Pagoda,Khai Dinh tomb,Tu Duc tomb and Minh Mang tomb. Those are also fun to see
Kinh thành Huế đã bị tàn phá rất nặng nề trong chiến tranh, nếu tất cả các công trình đều nguyên vẹn thì sẽ còn hoành tráng hơn gấp nhiều lần 😔😔😔
That’s very sad :( we didn’t realize that much of it got destroyed!
Hi Shelby! Hi Chase! Beautiful park...so green. It was nice to see the beauty of Hue. Take care guys! Always love to see your smiling faces.🤗❤😊

In fact, the Forbidden City in Beijing was designed and built by a Vietnamese engineer for 30 years.
Hello…if you have only one choice to pick from …would you pick Hue over Dang Nang? Which one is more fun to do?
Hue is way better than Danang. More quiet more cultural stuff.
