Jesse Ventura never changes his story about forming a union while Hogan lies as much as we breathe.

Also, Ventura is a loon for voting for Kamala Harris only because she's a woman. Dude's off his rocker.
Jesse is perfectly within the right to not speak to Hogan again. Just because he wanted to be on Vince's good side he set back healthcare in wrestling by literate decades. What wrestling care is now could have been what was available in the 90s or better. Hogan gave not just wrestlers but American sports in general the middle finger so he could slightly advance up the corporate ladder.

"If these dummies don't wanna protect themselves then screw them, I tried!" That's the truth, Jesse was fighting the right fight for the right reasons and everyone else was either to dumb or to scared to agree with him.
Bit of an oversimplification. A LOT of those wrestlers pretty young, some were undereducated, and most importantly most of them relied solely on wrestling to as their career. Jesse had the right idea, but make no mistake his healthcare and benefits were taken care of one way or another, by either SAG or let’s not forget the Department of Defense! He was in the Navy! Wrestling was his 2nd job! Lol.
He did it to line his own pockets by trying to use other people to get it.
Unions in wrestling would never work at that period in time. The industry was still fragmented in various territories big and small. The industry needed turnover in order to keep things fresh. A union would have made that impossible. In today's environment, who knows?

It's a shame that nearly 40 years later, there is still no union for wrestlers.
To be fair, they are making more money now
@@AllHailKingKurt but who are you to say what more money is? Why can't they make money AND have a union??
@ThePrimusCrusader Not every wrestler on the roster is making good money, you might be making more than most of them.
@ThePrimusCrusader This is for you as well as @AllHailKingKurt - Just because they make more money than they did before, doesn't mean that they don't need a union. They still have to cover their own healthcare on their own (How do people in the US survive, seriously?), and aside from necessary flights that WWE covers, wrestlers still need to feed themselves (yes there is catering at events, but they eat more than that), rent their own cars to get to the venues, and book their own hotels(?). I'm going off of what I've heard from WWE talent, this could be outdated, it could be wrong, and it may not apply to other promotions. All of these expenses on top of regular expenses back home, most wrestlers aren't left with much.
Another issue is the independent contractor nonsense. WWE can sign someone to a 5 year contract that the wrestler can't break, but the company can fire them whenever they want without penalty, and the performer is still stuck with a non-compete clause in such an event. That's not right. The other things mentioned before, like healthcare, would need to be addressed if contracted wrestlers were actual employees. It benefits the company and screws the performer by using the "independent contractor" BS.
Jesse Ventura is right, Zelina Vega is right - wrestlers should be unionized.
@@the44118the problem comes down to how much do you pay each guy? And how hard it is to fire someone who’s in a union. What happens when a guy is too difficult to work with like dean anderson or cm punk? I say this as a BMWE member. So the guy who doesn’t have the skills, experience, knowledge, or production that I have gets to make the same as me? Add in steroids and the dangerous moves of a guy like Jeff Hardy vs a guy like Sting who has relatively safe move sets. These smaller companies can’t compete with WWE or AEW. TNA and New Japan will go under and you’ll once again have a WWE monopoly on wrestling aka “sports entertainment”.
But jesse is the real narcissist, look at what he did to Theo’s podcast. It’s always been about him and what “he’s done”. He literally never has anything good to say about anyone except himself.
What a legend such a unique articulate personality. People don't like that he won't compromise himself to suit others. Class Act. Wrestling fans know what Mr. Ventura gave to the biz. People forget this guy was a navy seal in Vietnam. Men don't have the grapefruits this guy has these days

He’s Mr Satan from Dragonball. The public are just morons.
My dad tried to bring a union to a trucking company back in the 70's and all the drivers said they were behind him until push came to shove and they chicken out and my dad got canned.
Probably the Teamsters. They were very corrupt in the 1970's. Sorry about your father's dismissal, but sometimes when prospective union members find out how bad the union is, they get defensive and bail.
I tried to unionize a workplace a taxi company and I got ratted on by a employee coworker he got me terminated, it’s on UA-cam titled sudbury taxis expose.
Basically the same thing here. A union never worked in WWF/WCW because the top guys wouldn't join. They were already getting taken care of. I'm generally not pro union, but in wrestling, some sort of pre-union collective bargaining would be a huge step forward.
This is why I don't think a union will ever happen in wrestling. Corporate structure or not, there are too many who are in it for themselves so not everyone will be on board. The other problem is unions can get corrupted. I get what Jesse was trying to do, but it's not easy to pull off, and even when it's pulled off, it's not perfect. Look at what happened with actors and writers in the studios the past couple years.
The Volkswagen facility in Michigan if memory serves right is another prime example. It was somewhere in the 2010s and all over the news. The people had a choice to unionize but a majority went against it. Feeding into the push back they were receiving from management. They had this one black dude speaking out against it, completely sheep-ing on national television and he voted against it. Then when it was announced that they weren't receiving it. He was back on camera BALLING his eyes out because he was secretly hoping it would've been approved. You big dummy, you...
Anyone wondering why he’s mad about the union is because 100s of wrestlers were affected by this and countless of them died due to not having health insurance from WWE due to not having a union. Jesse’s FRIENDS were abandoned and abused while hogan and McMahon profited. No wonder hogan didn’t want this, would have killed his bottom line.
A union in the 80's would have killed the business. It's based on draw and the ability of a talent to persuade the audience to pay for a product. They're not iron workers building bridges on a set contract with a static engineered plan.
How do you not see this?

Baylee🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
What was her rating?
Where did you get that LED lights in the background?
I LOVE Jesse VERY fair man. A man of integrity
Jesse is fucking incredible in this regard. Some people are simply not deserving of your time or forgiveness
Should trump forgive Jesse for being such a snake? They were good friends for decades before he entered politics
@user-kc7xk6wy2zLife's too short for grudges. Sometimes a second chance makes all the difference. I can't stand today's attitude amongst certain people of "In my league it's one strike and you're out." It's like they want perfection from everyone they meet. We wouldn't be human at that point, we'd be robots
@@TheEman590Life's too short to waste it on pieces of shit who wronged you or betrayed you
Hogan is a real life heel
He did have lust in his heart for Elizabeth.
I think Hogan needs to be rebaptized.😂
I'll bet there's a good few wrestlers on the modern WWE roster who are members of SAG-AFTRA, or at least who could be. Loads of them have done TV and movie acting work, Seth, Edge, Becky etc.
TBH I'm shocked they've still not unionised in WWE.
Yup, and then there is the fact that Hogan, the stooge himself, had also done acting in movies and television during that time.
That is why I love how Freddie Prinze junior wanted to try that to get wrestlers to get on sag aftra. If he made a company
A truly wise man who wasn't afraid to ask the tough questions and demand fairness. Jesse outsmarted Vince.
Jesse is the truth wwe was strategic in bringing him back had he gone into business with tony khan that wrestlers union would be the end of wwe as we know it🤷🏾♂️
Stuff Chris here. I don't get this "ohhh it's been 30 years, you should talk" seriously if someone killed my cat or insulted me very deeply etc or stabbed me in the back I don't care if its 90 years. We are done. Chris just wants the story and gossip it would bring
Stopping a union has effects felt by the stars who will participate tomorrow this is a harm that continues to harm through the generations and negatively impacting future generations. Not like a pet being stolen at all.
@cmbells7736 It's not so much the union but going behind his back. Being a snitch. And snitches are the most hated of people
This interview should break the internet like the Katt Williams on Club Shay Shay interview
It's no different 30 years later...
WWE wrestlers need a union. The other guys really do too.
they're fine
@@NoDak888You wanna know the death statistics on pro wrestlers buddy.
they make an absurd amount of money nowadays, they dont even need to wrestle.
So good to see Jesse back talking about his life. He is very underrated.
"This doesn't work for me Brother" - Hulk Hogan
Screw Hogan!
that is Jesse's attitude about him.
0:25 . Ill tell you the story!! Jesse, im sure everybody knows the story youve told it soooooo many times hahaha
He reminds me of my grandpa when he was still alive. He always told the same stories but I didn’t mind. He seemed to enjoy it and the guy had through a lot
Salute to Ventura! 🫡 Thank you for your service brotha
My only question would be, isn’t Vince McMahon’s purchasing of all the wrestling territories a monopoly? I thought monopoly’s were illegal.
Wow. I never heard this. Thanks for sharing.
Jessie was right then and is right now. Then, now, and forever.
Hulk Hogan is crap. I love it when Brock Lesnar called him "pops" LOL
I remember Brock telling Hulk "Party's over grandpa".
@ChargerBullet "the future is now old man" - Brock Lesnar probably
"Party's over, grandpa!" - Brock Lesnar
@@nicotoscani1707 The former MMA fighter looks up to the coked-up, steroid abusing asshole as "daddy" ?
Lesnar could kick Hogan's ass any day of the week.
With Jeese on this on.
My dad was in a union my whole childhood. I'll always support workers right to unionize
Hand's down. Short, Sweet & to the Point. The most Awesome, Intimidating Big Man in Wrestling History. RIP Big Boy !!!!!
The fact 'uncle' Jesse - said flat NO! Terry No Balls Bollea doesnt need to be rescued Chris!
Jesse is a don! 😎 °salute°
Jesse and Brett would get along great but Jesse is 100% right about Vince and the company
They do and have great respect for each other
Bret
Ventura is one of the most interesting interviews always. We needed more leaders like him, not perfect but he had a good heart for the people.
I have a lot of admiration and respect for Jesse standing his ground and not giving in and making amends with Hogan.. I would be the same way in a situations similar to Jesse's as I'm sure millions of others would be too...
We have FINALLY reached the point where Ventura’s truth will trump Hogan’s BS. Pun intended.
Jesse technically wasn’t a Navy Seal. They went by another name and became the Seals after Jesse left. Call him out for that lie
@@TL2354 You really pretending that is a point lol?
I know... Trump is literally little mustache man. I remember all of the concentration camps & wars his forstb4 years in office. America was basically 19030's Germany.
Ask Jesse “The Body” Ventura if he thinks that Hogan is the Goat?? Haha “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is the GOAT!!!!
Jesse Ventura is voting for Kamala Harris only because she's a woman LMAO. Yeah, as if Ventura's opinion matters. No wonder the wrestling business is dying.
Jesse Tells it like it is .
He doesn't hold back.
On anything &
I believe play by 1
strikes 1 Rule..
I don't blame Jesse.
He also sues widows for the truths their late husband's write in books. Ventura is a turd stain.
I can listen to Jesse talk all day. So much knowledge in that man.
There is no other man like him.
Gotta love Jesse Ventura, one of the most intellectual men to be apart of pro wrestling
Jesse’s a real one
The Body is right these Wrestler put there body on the line then when they get old Vance McMahon sweep them under the floor and don't use them anymore it's wrong
Where?
What Jesse said he’s totally right 👍
He seems bitter but it's all about ego. Has anyone ever thought of Hogan and Jesse being friends past or present?
@ hogan betrayed Jesse so he was a terrible person and friend. when Jesse was trying to help him and everyone. But hogan betrayed him
Betrayal is worse than death. Jesse is a man of principle. Stand on that and you will never die.
Jessie is out there MATES 🙂
