Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have such a fairy-tale/storybook quality to them. Your calming voice and narration style are perfectly suited for these stories. Thoroughly enjoyed the video. 👍

You're right. Ocarina's the storybook version, Mask is the Fairy-tale version. And by those, I'm referring to the difference between the Classic versions and the modern versions. Fairy tales used to be much, much darker than they are nowadays.

I never really thought about how lonely it must have been for Link during his adventures in OoT. His old life is gone and he can't go back. So many years lost with only more loss to show for it. When he finally wakes up, it must feel like a race against the clock to restore what was lost only for the new friends he's made along the way to forget him when he gets to go back to being a child, probably with some PTSD and some abandonment issues.

He comes back from boarding school, and when his childhood crush comes to meet him at the station, she is a crossdressing ninja who vaguely tells him to go to this countryside city because she heard if you dig up a grave there a ghost will give you a harpoon and harpoons are the best way to deal with broken staircases so he can save his other childhood crush, who is 50 or something but still looks like a child

27:12 - 27:25 A panini doesn't have to be baked and is generally more sandwich shaped whereas a calzone is baked, generally with pizza topping. Like, a folded pizza.

If I recall, I remember seeing a video about how Bongo Bongo was the leader of the hylian rebellion during the hylian civil war, essentially the one who inadvertently got Link's mother killed (and likely his father).
Captured, he was brought to the shadow temple to be tortured, interrogated, and eventually decapitated. His ghost haunted the shadow temple however, and unable to exorcize the spirit, the Sheikha sealed the temple and the spirit within it.
When Ganondorf took over, he would eventually learn of this sealed spirit and used his dark magic to strengthen his corpse (thus its size) and also likely helped to weaken the seal enough for Bongo Bongo (idk why he's named that, probably a nickname made by the previous temple staff) to escape. He likely did this recently, probably not long after Link re-awakened, a contingency measure of sorts, he likely never expected Link to be able to travel between the future and present simultaneously.
Tl;dr Bongo Bongo, considering the security used to contain him, was likely a high ranking member if not the leader of the hylian rebellion against the royal family. He was killed at some point, and his spirit haunts the temple. Ganon freed the spirit so it would destroy the entrance, preventing Link's journey. This failed because Link can time travel.
