~1985 I remember my little efficiency apartment in Houston Texas $150 a month pool just outside my door. I really had it made there but I was 19 too young to know that at the time. I had no clue who lived next door or above me. Never had a car my fake friend stole the motor cycle I could have used to change my life. Fake friends are the ruination of many a youth.
This is what fills us with memories to remember and I hope makes it easier to get old. To have had those adventures and meet all sorts of people. I try to show people in my life how important it is to live and be aware it could be over tomorrow. I loved working with old people (around90) they told me such great Stories. You are still young, Lindy 😂
Lol, you’ve known some interesting people! I’ll share a story about one of my neighbors with you. This is about ten years ago. I lived in a house on a sud divided property. My family lived in the front and another family lived in the back. The family in the back consisted of a grandmother and her two grandchildren. Frequently her young granddaughter played with my kids in our yard. The grandma was a lovely person, very down to earth but a little rough around the edges. One summer afternoon I came home early from work. My sister and kids were outside playing. I said hi to everyone, including my neighbor’s granddaughter. Then I went inside to change and use the bathroom. Literally 5 minutes later I hear my sister at our front door telling my neighbor that I was in the bathroom getting changed and I’d be right out. My neighbor insisted that she needed to talk to me right away. My sister offered her a seat and a drink but my neighbor refused. Well, as I was doing my business, my neighbor barreled down my hall to my bathroom and opened my bathroom door as I was sitting there. I was shocked. She stuck her head in the bathroom. I asked her to give me a minute to finish. She laughed and said “Hey, we’re all girls, I don’t mind.” Lol. So I let her tell me what she needed to. (I figured I had no choice)Then she left me in peace to finish up. She passed away last fall but thinking of her and her unusual ways still brings a smile to my face. Lol.
☕💓 I just love hearing ur stories , i find it fascinating that u remember so much . A nude woman on a roof 🥴🤦🏽♀️ U have the best stories Thanks so kuch for sharing . Hope u have a beautiful weekend
Hi Lindy love your stories... I love cabins and cottages My brother in law and nephew built some beautiful cabins down in Logan Ohio I'm sad they sold them and moved to Fla. It was fun to stay there at Thanksgiving and snow would come down thru the woods.. I can't believe a naked girl sleeping on a roof you sure wouldn't do that now days....
Ive had some funny neighbors. One older woman she was always ticked off in her garden not liking cats or kids. One man, elderly Mr Carlton always had an open door and a warm heart and loads of cookies. He was a wonderful elderly man. I had an elderly man neighbor as a kid who tried to kidnap me out of the yard. A fake family friend. I had a wonderful elderly woman neighbor who always had time for a chat as a kid. I've had a LOT of recent neighbor on drugs who just kept breaking into my apartment with keys. I had some alcoholic domestic violence neighbors who would fight and kick each other off the porch. I had an elderly neighbor who always had bugs going up and down the walls like a freeway. Everytime I think about her I picture the bug freeway and Her laughter about her neighbors painting the barn green.
Good Morning Lindy. Oh boy have I had some pretty entertaining characters in my life, neighbors, co-workers and then some lol. They pop up in my mind more often the older I get. I sometimes wonder if I too was a character in their life and if I pop up in their memories from time to time.
Quite interesting. I remember you told us about the woman who slept on the roof but I forgot the nudity part. 😂 I lived in a sketchy row apt with my kids when my husband filed for divorce and custody battle. Drugs, alcoholic, wife beater. One night when my kids thankfully was at their father's the wife beater was pounding on my door. He thought his wife was at my house. I got so scared I climbed out the window, drove to taco bell and slept there in my car overnight. A married neighbor across the street in a house came over one day, knocked on my door and said "can I service you?" Soon as the divorce was final and I got child support I moved the hell outta there. Ugh
Aren’t just everyday people just fascinating? It sounds like a Twilight Zone kind of place. I can see Rod Serling introducing your stories right now. Looking forward to your future stories!
I love hearing your stories. They always make me think back to a time that I had similar things happened to me 🙂 keep your stories coming, I look forward to them every day! Try to stay cool in this heat! Love you beautiful lady ❤️
When I was 19 and a professional model, I was very uninhibited. I would keep my patio door windows with no curtains so living upstairs I always was running around the house nude. Not a care in the world to be young again.
Do u ever drive back to these placess uve lived or worked in n see whats there now ... , I wonder if u would have an emediate fashback 💫💗 Love all ur stories Ur memory is so impressive .
