Ok Last question or recommendation more so: Can you do a brief video when you have the time on your process or workflow on how you get everything from Maya over to Unreal engine Thank you for responding to my questions. This helps a lot ! -- if you have a patron or classes I would love to support you all
you are a great artist.. can you make a full tutorial series on making a short film in unreal engine.. environment design --- lighting -- mocap animation --- expressions --- camera work --- vfx --- visual enhancement -- rendering.. its a request sir
Great breakdown video! Enjoyed it almost as much as I enjoyed the actual short film! Just subscribed to your channel. Can't wait to see more of your work.
Very impressive work ! Can't even understand how high level it is. May I ask for the specs of your system ? I wonder what is needed to be able to make such complex projects.
What an amazing short film ! May I know what wearable motion capture sensors (which brand) you are using and also which face tracking software app you are using for your Metahuman ?
Great work, i'm noob in these field, how do you achieve in 0:27 the motor ripping itself in motion? Do you use separate meshes and rigging process to animate the separation? Thanks
Question #1: the engine fire - on the side was that Composited in or was that like an emitter as well like you did with the sparks in the back inside the cockpit?
I am in love with your work and your Breakdowns. I am wondering what is your workflow to get animated cloth/clothing from marvelous designer to UE? You using the uDrapper plugin? Also wondering if you plan to release a masterclass or something to learn from you. I would pay to learn from you for sure! All the best - Marcel
for this project it was just alembic cache. uDrapper was tested and not really worth for one shot. Thanks for asking about the masterclass, i am thinking about it so any feedback about the content will be helpfuL!
Question #2: The shot at 0:28 when the engine break off was that animated in maya too and then brought over into Unreal Engine? or was that done in Unreal engine via some destruction system like chaos plugin?
I twould probably be very difficult to pull off for a cinematic sequence. If you were implementing it in a game, there are more practical reasons to use the engine options rather than baking these animations/simulations in another software.
Dear Han, Your content is truly outstanding. I have a kind request. Would you consider making beginner to expert level tutorials on making UE5 movies? Something on a platform such as Udemy for example. There is not much available right now for someone new to UE5 to be able to make anything close to what you have been producing. Myself, and I am certain many, many others, would be happy to pay a premium to access super in-depth tutorials / courses for a beginner to be able to learn every step needed to put a cinematic film together in UE. With your expertise and experience, I am sure it would be a pleasure to make, and have excellent returns from the many of us wishing to be able to utilise UE5 the way you do. Sincerely appreciate the content, and look forwards to your response. Regards, Sul
Hey man, magnificent stuff. Just wanted to know a thing. How much time on average do you reckon someone would take to build out something like this from scratch ? Like if I were to start learning UE5 today. Also taking into consideration that I’ll only be using assets built by others and won’t be modelling or doing any of that on my own. Just the animation part.
Must say for an indie UE5 film the visuals are crazy. Would love to see this as a full film.
Oh. My. God. The level of detail you have achieved in the Metahuman's face is mindblowing!! My God!! 😍😍
I was very curious about how you pulled off the Chute shot!! Thanks so much for the insight. Looks beautiful!!!

Amazing!! You didn't add V-ray render to your workflow like you did with Pantheon why is that?
Ahh this is incredible!
Very inspiring, awesome job !

couple emitters that overlapping to get more detail in there.

Amazing

animated in Maya, smaller pieces were also rigged so no sim needed.

MetaHuman I believe it's called, not sure if it comes with its own animations or if he made it himself but yeah
It is just beautiful!.. For assets modeling you used Maya too? or 3ds max?

UE Has simulation plugins, chaos and also the wind system, do you not prefer them or they don't do a good job?

They're low quality compared to other simulation.
