Who is the owner of this boat?
or just simple slow down playback speed
thanks for captions
Yep, I just slowed down the playback speed to 50%.
Why use shackles ,, ?
Another super video - you just keep getting better and better at this - no pointless rambling, no gooey background music - just watching and seeing the real day-to-day of the yachting world. For those of us thousands of KMs away, who will never see this in real life - Thanks
I've seen thousands of yacht videos. None whatsoever like this one. Your starting a new trend. It's great what your doing for those that don't know yachting. Showing and telling what the crew does while docking . Very educational and info on the yacht as well. Thank you for this video. And look forwards to many more..
Thank you.
Outstanding vlog...loved the explanations.
Keep up the good work my friend!!
The only thing you didn't show us when he handed the tip money to the guys in the red shirt. That helped put the shackles on the quayside. Very slick move. At 5 minutes and 35 seconds. Reminds me when I was running large yachts back in the 90s. to 2012. Thanks for bringing out memories good memories. Y'all be safe your friend Captain Cooke.
THIS IS AWESOME!!! Sorry for being shouty, but absolutely loved how you did this vlog and annotated it for your viewers. This gives us all a glimpse into how a superyacht is operated and educates us on some of the marine operation terminologies at the same time. Thank you for this and more formats like this please, as and when you have time of course.
I love the more technical aspects of those yachts. Also, I think Najiba is the best looking yacht I've seen thus far
This is pretty cool. Thanks for showing this.
Loved the "step by step" explanation of the docking process!
I thought the big box being unloaded @5:48 was the owners wallet. Then I realized it wasn't big enough!
haha
A wallet is no use for liquid assets...
Now thats f in funny 👍
LOL
A really well done breakdown of the entire docking process! I haven't seen another video like this on UA-cam; nice job!
Every of your videos is so pleasant and satisfying to watch because you always show and explain the most important things. Thanks for that and all the best.
Loved the inside knowledge captions.
The quality of the paintjob and the whole yacht is awesome
well it's a Feadship.. so yeah
I enjoyed seeing the docking process. Nice video
That was nice to see a yacht being docked! Thank you.
Thanks for this and very interesting to see docking procedures and have it explained so well.
The skills involved in doing this are quite extraordinary
thanks for all the popups, kind of spoiled watching these
Feadship super yatchs are just so elegant.
Ye s they are
That was really intersting. Thank you for posting.
Excellent video, thank you for posting this and explaining what the staff were doing.
I learned so much in this video. Fantastic capture.
Very smooth and organized. Clear comments and explanations from you! Good job
Very good looking yacht.
I love it when you are in the right spot at the right time!
Fascinating . LOVED the captions !
Great video quality. Loved the captioned explaination of the proceedures. You did a fine job. Enjoyed it. Thankyou for sharing.
Be honest this was your new weekend toy turning up. Good vlog keep safe.
Excellent video again. Thanks
Love the explanations! This stuff fascinated me!
Great looking boat, it is not so high and got clear lines. Like you canal
Fascinating. Great insight. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful yacht, beautiful video! Well done!
Man great vid. very informative. Been a sub for a long time and I think this may have been my fav vid, thanks.
Monaco!!!🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
That was cool 😎
God job, crew!
Wow.. your own island world. Makes me wonder where the escape from world went. Seams to me he is creating the world that tryed to sail away from
Thank you for that great educational video on docking.
Awesome Job!
love it! super interesting, thank you. Additionally I would love to know how is the boat secured at the front. do they drop the anchor wile they reverse?
Excellent job.
Very Nice ... Great Video
Very nice video! Najiba is one of the few yachts that I like very much! I meant to say the design and the size! It was docked in Puerto Banus for a few months. Every morning when I see it, I was dreaming that it is mine 😎 Thank you for sharing. Waiting for the next video. Cheers
Very enjoyable!
Monkeys fists are pretty standard for tree workers, as well. They have some seriously cool functionally specific knots, as well, like one that you release your grip on and you free fall, speed wise. Just a moderate squeeze and you can really brake, as well. I've seen guys just step off a tree 60' up, and it takes them single digit seconds before they are standing on the ground. Did I mention that some of them are nuts?
Nice detailed explanation of the docking procedures. I liked the captions.
I think the owner of the Najiba is planning on buying a much bigger yacht, Najiba's fenders are supersized for a yacht of Najiba's size.
Fascinating
appreciate the info insertions throughout-- cheers
Wow, you really are crushing the videos lately, great job!!! Did the deck officer tip the stevedore? I thought I saw him slip him some money.
Noticed that too.
Most likely, he did. He was the captain.
what is the going rate for the tip these days for a yacht this size? Anybody knows?
@@jedialex65 Boat like that, maybe $100?
@@fasst27 €100 Euros. This is Monaco, where a fresh orange juice is €18 and budgets go to die.
Very good job!
Too good.
One of the most important characteristics of mega yachts is their designers e.g. Conceptual designers, Naval architects and interior designers. The shipyard executes the project, but the designers are the gurus. It would be good to include this information, especially on iconic projects/yachts. Thanks anyway for the videos, very informative.
Like this new style!
You're getting better and better at this, loved the captions. What a fab video!
Is it just crew preference to use shackles over using the bollards or is there a benefit to doing so?
There are a lot more places to shackle to, the bollards are far apart.
great content and format.
Beautiful.
the best vid you uploaded in a while mate good job
I like that you experiment with the format. The look of that yacht reminded me of M/Y VENUS.l
This just seems like a big PP swinging competition while the neighbouring crews watch on, do the crews from other ships usually get along with each other? Awesome vid, been binging your channel for almost a week now!
Very nice.
Great video very fascinating to watch 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for sharing.
Excellent, very interesting
Good video, i hope see more. Good job
Good stuff thanks for sharing
One of your more informative videos, and indeed very interesting. Thanks much! Geoff Rohde
Very good video. Great explanation. Cool new style 👍
Great narration
Fascinating. So that's how it's done? Thanks for that
Good video.
Quite interesting. I keep thinking of all those salaries!
Fantastic insight, thanks!
You do GREAT videos. 👍👍
Very good sir
Great video... love the play by play...
Enjoyed the explanations!
Great job of explaining all the docking procedure. Most videos show it but don't explain what the crews are exactly doing.
Awesome video! Really, really appreciate all of the detail. Super cool to see the step-by-step process. Two questions: is the bow held off by the yacht's anchor or is attached to a permanent mooring that is managed by the harbor? They connect hose for fresh water, but what about shore power? I would assume they would not all be on generator the entire time they're in harbor, correct? Thanks again for all of the awesome content!!!!!!
I always enjoy your narration, but this was kinda neat with the captioning
5:35 did the cap'n hand over a tip?-))
Nice catch!!
yes....captain said: can i give you something and the ground crew said: Thank you , it is very nice of you, thank you captain
great stuff...like the captions!!
What is the standard tip for dock employees?
Cheers for another interesting video.
Question for you. A lot of passerells I’ve seem rest directly upon, or very close to the the quay. Is it because of Najiba’s one is of a different design, or that Monaco is particularly tidal?
You need to leave a gap in case the tide changes or there is some movement so it doesn't hit the quayside. Most boats have stairs like this, it helps keep that gap.
Out of curiosity...how long does this process usually take? How long did it take this boat from the moment it came in the harbor? Love your videos. 👍
Thank you for great videos, giving an informed view of these magnificent craft.
Great video, love the blow by blow commentary - keep these coming :) who owns her, do you know ?
Don't know the owner.
Probably an Arab, judging from the name.
Great video, we are grateful for such an informative channel, just a question why they choose to use shackle instead of putting spliced eyes of lines in the bollard of the dock ?
Thank F'ING god someone has a heart to pass these poor souls some money.
Yes
Nice👍
Beautiful ship! Did you have a rough night so you couldn’t speak? 😄 Nice job with this text balloons!
Haha, no just like to keep trying new things.
Amazing 👍
I’m pretty sure it was Feadship that was associated with the ship I was very briefly on. In 1977

Hello eSysman, love your videos. How do the boats anchor the front end when docking? Is there always a diver to assist, or do they always need to anchor the front end? And do they need to drop the anchor(s) as they back in so that it tightens with the libe heading outwards for some tension? Thank you!!!
Once again, awesome timing getting this beauty on video docking. Always love getting your notifications. Are you still running the roads around Monaco? Cheers 👍😎🍻
Unfortunately I don't have my car with me this time. It's actually very expensive to take the car with me, but is always worth it when I can.
@@YachtReport Yes and a real treat for us all watching you drive the 'course'! Perhaps another time!
With the dockside crew and everything, that maneuver probably cost more than I make in a year. Still, it is nice to know that somebody can afford to live like that. If I had the money, I probably would live on a yacht myself.
Oh, and it is spelled 'windlass'.
You can see a Phantom VIII in the background at 2:31. To the left.
great video oddly enough first time ive seen shackles used on quayside is this SOP for the big boys meaning yachts above certain size if so why? thanks for your time
How much did the Deck Officer slip the dockworker when they shook hands? Always love your videos... keep them coming.
5.33 quick bribe :-)
