Wow! Love the layout, the decor and the use of colors. The owners have exquisite taste! Finally, an owner’s cabin that looks forward out to the sea, as opposed to facing a TV. My kind of owners cabin. Thank you for the tour Nick!
This one is right up my ally. Im already modifying their setup to the max in my head. We go for 40kw of solar, 5 battery banks for 600kw of power, we'd upgrade the generators to 500's and leave everything else exactly like it is. I just need to find the 14 million now. Lovely yacht that an owner can operate, can't beat the open spaces. Nick we need more cat's and trimerans!
What a boat! Masses of space indeed. And the captains explanation of how the hybrid system works was very detailed. I’ve always wondered just how they work and how power consumption is managed. Another interesting detail is how he mentioned they look at the amount of days they can run more so than the range. This was a super informative video, it’s always great to hear a detailed and passionate explanation about the ship from the captain.
Scusi 😆 Classic Nick. Well done for dodging the crowd. And thanks for for all the fascinating techincal info - I'm sure you didn't need the Captain to explain all of it...........
I so enjoy your content, but more so your personality. You make people feel as though you are their friend without ever having met. Cheers, and a virtual mirror wave to you sir! Yes, yacht is amazing! 😊
Just incredible. The size is I'm lost for words. Catamaran's never cease to amaze me. Even listening the captain speaking about the engines made no sense to me and I listened to that twice.. Nick as always thank you for taking us on a tour of her
What a yacht! so BIG for the length. A nice explanation of the hybrid system. Alexi, Bering also has a great explanation of their hybrid system - definitely worth a watch if you're interested in this progressive technology! Thanks for sticking with it Nick and completing the tour!
Fantastic boat! Probably the best catamaran you’ve reviewed so far, Nick! Really nice main deck, like you’ve mentioned, it doesn’t just look like one vast open space with no zoning, no, it actually feels like a proper yacht with different sections! Amazing! Really spacious cabins on the lower deck as well, great owner’s cabin, and even a nice second floor?! And an owner can operate it? And it has lots of solar panel, great range, and an interesting propulsion system? Sign me up :) I’ll just quickly have to search in which pocket my $13M are hiding 😂 Thank you very much, Nick, for this wonderful tour!
now this is a home on the water! loved it, i always objected to the layout of a catamaran with those cold and weird open plans. this boat has the nice and cozy corners id like to have
I think that is the best catamaran I have seen, it is just beautiful everywhere and so spacious, often on a a catamaran the cabins seem squeezed into the space but not on here. I like the layout and flow to it as well, and to top it all they are dog lovers. Great tour Nick thank you.
Nothing less than seriously impressed, what a fantastic catamaran. Bedrooms are large and spacious just like the entire boat. This has to be the nicest cat I’ve ever seen Taking the Mediterranean cruise in this would be a great experience Power. Management is sensibly augmented with diesel generators which is quite comforting Really great tour Nick and thanks to the captain for his review of the power plant
Amazing yacht, brilliant tour and a bonus to hear about the drive system. I can see that system becoming more popular on displacement boats across the market. Well done for navigating the hoards on board too!
There's a lot to love with these big cats. Having said that, the techie in me truly loves the systems on this, and the great explanation from the Captain. Putting solar panels on the decks is brilliant, I'm surprised we haven't seen something similar before. Nick, I've challenged you a few times to find us interesting boats, and, of course, you always do. I may need to stop challenging you or we very well may wind up on the first space yacht. Great tour of an amazing boat.
I'm not even a huge cat fan but Nick always seems to find the very best ones to pique my interest. Thanks again for this one, and for forging on through the boat show crowds!
All that room. Incredible. It’s a bit like having two super yachts strapped together. Very impressive. Thank you for bringing us this one, Nick. You did a brilliant job as always, navigating your way around the other folks. How rude. Didn’t they know who you were? 😂👍
I think it's a reasonably good starting point for the yard. I imagine giving them another one or two more iterations and they will be on to a winning formula.
This is the best layout of all the super cats I've ever seen. Just like Nick said, many of them tried to show off their humongous deck space so they used the main deck as a whole big area, which often made it chaos. This one is very shrewd about using its space that it doesn't flaunt it in front of people's face. People are not stupid to notice it, aren't they?
I think this is my favorite cat... especially with the drop-down balcony at the guest suites, that becomes very hard to choose which one will be the owner's cabin 😁. The propulsion system is so advanced... awesome yacht
Thanks Nick, super review and glad you gave over so much time for the power system technology which is best in class. The pressure must now be on other yacht builders to follow quickly. The days of Dirty Diesels are coming to a swift end!
How very cool... Wider really do produce magnificent yachts! The captain is worth his cash just to understand all the system/s, never mind, just 'driving'! Nice tour, Nick 🙂
🦘🇦🇺 Absolutely amazing. The volume of it is stunning. How it works is even more stunning. The upper deck & sky lounge was very impressive. Over all it won my heart with a 10m beam. Thanks for a great tour Nick. I see this one in the Christmas special. 🛟🙏
haha, those numbers put an interesting perspective on the reality of their power consumption: the boat is absolutely covered with solar panels, and it takes one hour to consume all the energy they produce in a day
That depends what you do with them. They have effectively 288kWh of safe battery storage (360kWh*80%). That will be charged in the Med sunny weather in 20hrs. (assuming a 0,6 factor of the 24kW solar panels). So you can use the batteries to: 1.- run the engines at 7,5 to 9 knots for 1,8 hrs (288kwH/160kw) - realistically due to high current more like 1,3 to 1,5 hrs. 2.-Fill in for max speed the missing 160kW for 1 hour. 3.- Power the whole yacht at anchor for 12 to 22 hours (he said 2hrs of gens to charge the bats per day = 22 hrs on battery). That is the beauty of such drives, because in certain cases you would be able to run the boat on solar alone (at anchor) or use the batteries charged by the sun for lower engine consumption or increased performance. This is a massive economy of fuel and increase of comfort compared to traditional power systems (diesel). Also kinder to the environment, which in the yachting world cannot be overstated. Edit: typos
Probably because the battery is designed to run tne hotel load overnight, for silent operation and not for powering the vessel forward. It's like mocking an F1 car because it costs £15m and can't carry your shopping or doesn'thave climate control. It's not designed for that!
@@AdeboFunkyVoodoo Yes and let's not forget the capability of doing 5,5 knots for 4,5 hours on batteries alone. I can easily imagine a scenario where I would be island hoping in the Adriatic for weeks without ever running the generators (with a bit of kindness from the sun gods). Or as you point out use it to power the house systems and save the fuel that would otherwise be used for that. And even when you a moving what is a 4 bedroom house (mansion?) at 9 knots for prolonged periods of time, you are still doing it while consuming less fossil fuel. I really don't understand what is there to hate here :).
Hi Nick, well that was just the best thing, I used cats to travel to work 27-36m being the biggest. The crew slept in the hulls and us clients had a beautiful area to travel in. This really has got me, maybe even more than the Arksen, the drive system explanation was fantastic, thanks pal I really enjoyed this one and have a great Sunday evening.🍻🏴

Plus every boat should have their own dog ( lovely looking dog) lovely idea to have the netting round the deck stairs and bulwarks to keep the dog safe. Great explanation by Captain Mike on the boats drive, solar panels, generators and all the rest of the system. Great video of a fascinating boat. Nick is she capable of a trans Atlantic crossing?
Good job Nick, it’s kinda like the wind machines no one talks about the oil that has to be refined for the gear boxes in each one of those. But we’re getting there and it’s a good thing. Love the boat amazing what money can buy⚓️❤️
Brilliant showing, glad I didn't have to edit this video. If I were to take ownership of a Cat, the hull material would be aluminum. For the very reason you mentioned, @4:52 "water slap." The Port side was very noisy, the starboard side more muted but still egregiously noisy for my comfort. Have a good week Nick.
Hi Nick, And thank you for this very intresting show of this Wider 92 a catamaran Super yacht on this Sunday a yacht with the WOW factor for me and it is a hybride drive i like that very need when i had the money i would be intrested in something like this The big salon one one side the lounge very cozy the other side the dining thanks to the width of this vessel looks great 3 massive cabins below all ensuite and very spacious and the master on the main deck with there own deck on the bow Thanks Nick great ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐
Wow wow wow what a beautiful boat i just can’t believe the size of it, i wish you could have seen the drop balcony’s and how it would look from your cabin, i just can’t find the exact words to explain how i feel about it maybe just bloody magnificent. I’m not a technical person but the captain explained everything perfectly and even i got the jist of it, by the way you did an excellent job of avoiding people i suppose you just have to get used to it Thanks Nick for a brilliant review of this wonder 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well done Nick, totally and utterly fascinating, a spacious and beautiful catamaran. Watched the captain's talk a second time and still absolutely confused but sounds good.
Great tour. The interview with captain was great. His explanation of hybrid really makes it sound the way to go. I think the caveate has to be "when it's working". I see that HH44 has to have every piece of metal replaced due to electrolytic corrosion caused by electric leakage. Hybrid and carbon are a very bad mix, by electric current and any metal is a bad mix as well.
13:20 that visualization of every major component of the electrical system is pretty insane. if that also dynamically changes based on what kind of input the solar panels are producing that would make it super easy to spot any problem with a panel.
Don't worry about the crowds, it's a boat show. 30-40 KiloWatts?! Holy Sh*t! I run my whole house, with pool gear and AC on a 5.2 KW solar system. That is a massive power hog! Pretty though.
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir I know it's the largest catamaran yacht on the channel and probably because of the size it's definitely the sexiest catamaran yacht on the channel for sure, what a stunner. I really love the layout of this yacht inside and out,the owners cabin with access to the bow is fantastic ,and the two cabins on either side having access to the decks once lowered ingenious. Nick because of my brain damage I really struggled to understand anything the lovely captain was explaining about the power system so one question (not sure if it was mentioned and I just missed it) was there a nautical mile range between having to fill up the fuel tanks. Anyway Nick another top top find,as ever all the best from Cornwall 🤗🖖✌️
What a wonderful boat incredible amount of living space and with a very sustainable way of being afloat. Great tour as per Nick. I do think the other people aboard need to realise who you are and give you a clear run….😂
That extra door between the owner's cabin and the living space can turn that small area into a butlery of sorts where drinks & edibles (not _those_ sorts of edibles although why not I guess) can be kept out of sight until called upon. Once again we see a diesel electric drivetrain saddled with the trendy "hybrid" label by the builder. If you can't choose to run the boat on either diesels or motors, it isn't a hybrid.
THIS is THE boat now... I'm always looking for the "perfect" liveaboard boat for the East coast of the U.S., as well as the Bahamas/Caribbean. If my Bitcoin ever gets me over $20M, THIS would be my new "home". Between the hybrid system, and the owner's cabin setup, this is the best setup I have ever seen to live out the rest of life, with plenty of room for my wife, dogs, and future grandkids. 😎👍 Not quite a "💩 hits the fan" boat, but damn close.
Wow!
Love the layout, the decor and the use of colors.
The owners have exquisite taste!
Finally, an owner’s cabin that looks forward out to the sea, as opposed to facing a TV.
My kind of owners cabin.

Once again we see a diesel electric drivetrain saddled with the trendy "hybrid" label by the builder. If you can't choose to run the boat on either diesels or motors, it isn't a hybrid.
Wow Nick, are those the best guest baths you’ve seen on a cat? Very nicely laid out too. Thanks for my Sunday video as always
I'm glad that you enjoyed it! 🙂
Why do I feel so stressed watching these videos that have so many people on board? It’s illogical for me to feel that way, but I do.
People...never cease to amaze how pretentious they can be...🙄😂
Beautiful yacht! Nice work Nick!
Not quite a "💩 hits the fan" boat, but damn close.
