I had to start over because instead of pushing the needle through the the center of the flower I was putting it through a gap in the petal. It took me several tries to figure out what I was doing wrong lol

Oh, my goodness! through all my efforts, I have practiced making this flower 15 times. I saw a space I didn't like so I knew something was wrong. But I finally made a flower!! I am over the moon and a huge thank you to my wonderful teacher. So, I will make more flowers as my goal is to make a granny square, so I can make an Afghan. and whatever else I can make. Thank You so much for your wonderful directions. I especially Loved how you had everything close up as I could really grasp what you were doing. 😇😇

Thank you so much for the feedback. Crochet is something that will teach you patience (which I had lacked initially :) ) and I am so glad you didn't give up and persisted. I am sure things will start getting better from now on and you will enjoy the process. Happy crocheting :)

    Ma’am! You are a 🤩SUPERSTAR🤩!
I am 46 years old and have wanted to learn to crochet for decades. I recently learned the basic single stitch, but I never thought I’d learn the other stitches. You taught them to me in ONE DAY! This flower has been my first project. I have never been so proud of something so simple. I made the first one following along with you in the video, the second one I barely looked at your tutorial and followed the instructions?/pattern? that you put on the top of the screen and did most of by myself. I am about to binge all of your videos because you are an amazing teacher. Thank you again. ❤❤ ❤

      @HopefulTurns  9 місяців тому +7

I totally get you Sabrina. My first project was also a flower; even though it barely looked like a flower, I was super proud. Now that you have learned the stitches, you can try different projects.
Thank you so much for the feedback and the support, it means a lot 😊 . I am so glad I could be a part of your crochet journey Sabrina .

What a nice tutorial! I wrote the steps down, if that's okay
    Slipknot
Chain 6, slip stitch into 1st stitch, making a circle
For the first petal, into the circle, sc ch2 3tr ch2 sc*
For the next 3 petals, into the circle, ch2 3tr ch2 sc*
    For the last petal, ch2 3tr ch2*
Slip stitch into 1st sc of 1st petal
Cut yarn and weave in loose ends
*after each petal, push the stitches along the circle to push them closer together and make space for the next petals

I want to take a moment to thank you for your help in this video. I tried searching for so many different videos but they all lacked something. They lack either explanation as they do the stitches/crochets, a good angle to view how you do the stitches, or don't finish how to finish a project (tucking in the left over yarn). But you have it all. I am 100% new to crochet. I just started this weekend because I decided I wanted to incorporate crochet into my design project and wanted to learn for awhile now. I watched this video and your video over the types of stitches and found them both so helpful. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
And FYI to anyone wondering why you may have more than one loop somehow- it's probably because you did the single crochet in the wrong spot like I did at first haha. Anyways, I have one flower made and about four more to go. :) thank you again.

At first when I started crocheting, I tried the flower but it didn’t work out. I did a few more projects and revisited this and watched this video (a different one) and it was very good! I liked the fact that you did it with us the whole time instead of telling us to do it ourselves! Thank you! :)

i think she got the first pattern wroong after the 6 chain that is not a slip stich that is a single crochet slip stich is when you insert the hook into a chain yarn over then u will have 2 loops on ur hook so use the left loop and pull it through the other loop so basically use the top loop to pull through the bottom loop which will create a knot but what she is doing is a single crochet because after having two loos on her hook she yarned over which you don`t do in a slip stich just helping yo people because you shoudn`t confuse one stich for another
