I guess I should say Joker has ramped things up a notch with every single encounter he's laid out for Batman. Growing more obsessive with each situation he puts him through. Joker is fascinated with him for many many reasons. And mostly because when he sees Batman the Joker can also see apart of himself in him too. Joker has pushed Batman so far remember in the Arkham verse Batman has believed that Joker killed Jason Todd so it's extremely understandable why Batman would beat his face in so forcefully and as hard as he could. Yes! One of the only versions we’ve seen that is completely unchained at first, dude didn’t know Batman had a ‘no kill’ rule, yet he still spread his arms wide out and laughed after being shot off the hotel’s rooftop by Bane, dude completely expected to die and was laughing.
This was brilliant writing in the movie. Paul Dini? I think the Riddler was the wrong role for Carrey.... sometimes I think he could have played a version of the Joker. He's comedic, but he's also into that dark stuff.
@@MochaSugar50658 In an Adam West version, I would agree with you. Batman Forever seemed to battle with two differet tones. On one hand, Schumacher wanted depth and seriousness, but there was a pull from producers to make it less like Burton's last Batman film - who directed Batman Returns in his signature creepy style, not taking into account (or not caring) that the movie was being marketed to children as a target audience. This caught a lot of flack from the public. It's not like Carey cannot play a serious Riddler character, but the issues with tone did create some issues with the actors. Val Kilmer headbutted with the director. And Tommy Lee Jones told Carey that he didn't "sanction his buffoonery." And when Batman and Robin was released, you can see that the buffoonery was fully sanctioned. The only character that brought any edge to that movie was Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman).
