The Alien Gear Holsters Chest Holster uses a comfortable platform and adjustable strap system to mount to the chest, but also to carry comfortably for extended periods. Along with the holster base, we include a custom-molded holster shell with adjustable passive retention.
This keeps the holster in a prime position for fast access, but doesn't mean you have to put up with extreme discomfort in order to get it.
Our chest holster platform features a multi-layer design for durability and comfort. The back layer is our CoolVent neoprene cushioning fabric. This ventilated cushioning layer breathes and wicks away moisture, so you won't get a swampy feeling during long days on the trail. The core of the holster base is made from a sheet of spring steel between layers of woven ballistic nylon.
The reinforced base makes the holster a stable platform to draw from, but doesn't make the holster any less flexible.
The holster base is joined by a custom-molded retention shell, made for your exact make and model firearm. The custom holster shell ensures a secure carry and reliable drawing and reholstering cycles. You can count on being able to get your sidearm out in a hurry if need be.

This looks awesome but can I make one suggestion don't say military grade anything because for those of us who were or are in the military, military grade means made by the lowest bidder and with the lowest quality. When I hear a commercial saying military grade I just cringe but I love your product so I know it is a quality product

I wish I could feel that excitement too. I want it for my Glock 21sf to replace this universal pleather crap that I had from my old gun that I"m using now. I think it's real nice since I don't really like the side holster being that it's uncomfortable to wear since I"m a big guy with a spear, or two.

Alien Gear Holsters are the best on the market. I own the whole kit including the ankle holster and molle holster. All you do is buy a new shell for your handgun. I have the leather model for my Springfield XDM for OWB carry. I hope they make a new shell for my IWI Masada, which I'm unable to carry because there are no holsters out there to fit my new handgun.So i hope Alien Gear can help me by making some new shells.

I would love to see at least some ammo storage within the chest rig as well that will be badass. Maybe like storage for at least 6 shots if for a revolver like the governor. Some leather rigs have them. Alien 👽 Holster that will be great

Interesting design
Just got mine today. So far im skeptical still. Will have to carry it a bit to find out. Im pretty skinny so its hard to make it fit perfectly but like i said it'll need a few test runs but so far so good
Why not make a holster similar to this, but with the firearm pointing up towards your shoulder with the butt angled down. This way the holster could be worn concealed with an open say tee shirt covering it. Then if needed all you would have to do is reach up under the shirt no pull the gun down and out. With locking mechanisms available the gun should remain stable. Seems like this would be a great concealed holster idea.

Where are the options for extra/backuo mag or moon clip held rounds
Unfortunately we don't have moon clip options for those holsters. Pistols and revolvers are very different animals, but we are working to expand the number of revolvers we can holster.

I bet this is a great holster , but it makes me a little mad because in the video he is carrying a smith and Wesson governor , but they don’t list the governor as a shell option

What size would you recommend for the Cloak chest holster if my chest (in a t-shirt) measures exactly 43"?
Your website states 33" to 43" for regular and 43" to 60" for large and I am undecided as to which one to order. Thank you.

Unfortunately for my CANIK TP9 SFx I have to make do with another company's holster.

How is the firearm secured in the holster?
Theres a mechanism that locks it in place and you have to press a lever to take the firarm out. It works really well.
I wonder how this one stacks up against the one made by American gunfighters? This one looks like it might be more comfortable.

Can I use this for Concealed Carry
It is meant as an open carry, but if you wear a button up or jacket over it, you can certainly use it concealed. It may be hard getting to the firearm in a dire situation if you're trying to conceal carry with the Chest Holster

I ordered on on 7/2/2020. I received it on 8/25/2020. I could have walked to Idaho, picked it up personally, and walked back home. I it would have been faster.

How thick is the harness. Can you clip a mag carrier on it?
So we just tried it out and the mag clip clips onto the strap but does not stay in one spot. Your mag won't go anywhere but it will slide on the strap. Hope that helps.
I have a CZ Shadow 2 and can't find this option on the site, do you make them for the Shadow 2? And do you ship to Europe?

What kinda retention method does it use beside friction?
The Chest Holster is a Level one, passive retention holster that can be adjusted with an Allen key.

Any crotch-rocket riders out there use this? I’m thinking of getting this but concerned the gun might fall out while leading forward.
Chest holster for open carry? Can you open carry these in Texas if licensed? I contacted aliengear once and they told me I could not. I would have bought a few otherwise.
Typically there are fewer restrictions on open carry than conceal carry, but the laws vary from state to state so we recommend that you talk to a local LEO or lawyer to see what is best in your area. Sorry if we have been confusing, and we hope you find a holster that works for you soon.

How low can it go? Can I run this and a bino chest rig?
I'm thoroughly sick of companies not making holsters that support lights. It's 2021. We use lights now. All the bad stuff happens at night.
@@davehart7943 and if the power is out? What if you are in a less than ideal flat range type environment? Rather have it and not need it that need it and not have it.
@@davehart7943 Lights are needed. It's good to have a standard edc light and a weapons light. You dont want your main light to require you flashing someone with a muzzle. If you are hunting/hiking and it is getting to be dusk when bear and mountain lions are active, you need a weapons light. If you are out in public at night, I promise you that you are not always in 100% lit up areas. It's important to be able to identify a threat clearly. It's not a coincidence that police have weapons lights.

Bear and mountain lions actually do have special vision adapted for night. Chest rigs like this are used especially by hunters. You need a weapons. light.
I guess... special ops and the entire gun industry are fools for using weapons lights.
Also, if in a combat zone, night vision exists. Your situation is not the same as mine. But yes, someone can see you enough to do harm to you before you realize that they are a threat or not.
Weapons lights are needed for threat identification especially in home. You dont just shoot a moving body without knowing if it's your kid/spouse moving about the house or sneaking into the home late.
