@@thejoshsings9280 He did later on. But I think he did then, only privately. Once when Gloria was criticizing their marriage because of the way Archie treated Edith, Edith said, "How do you know what what you see is all there is?" Thing is, Mike and Gloria knew A&E's marriage better than anyone, except A&E themselves. What M&G didn't see was what happened in the bedroom and I don't mean the intimacy, but the conversations A&E had privately. In times like that Archie was different than how he was before the world where he didn't treat her so well. Edith put up with the public treatment "Dingbat! Stifle! Bring me a beer!" etc. because she knew him in the private moments.
@@BrianCarnevaleB26 Yeah, women like Edith who didn't work outside the home put up with a lot of mistreatment, sometimes even abuse due to their need for security. But men who mistreat their wives will have to answer for it someday.
I have some weight to lose. I'm native American I think I'll have Archie insult me so I can tell him where to go!! Gotta love him!!
Archie had some balls by saying “ you want me to take back that apology Irene”. I died at “put your keister in the chair and shut your mouth” hahahahahaha. This show will stand the rest of time for thousands of years!
Irene played the landlady on the TV sitcom, Laverne & Shirley. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Betty Garrett was underrated. Awesome actress.
@@Jotinko I wish she'd continued with the show. Frank was only in a handful of episodes and she was in a few more but then they removed her character. I guess that's when she moved over to "Laverne and Shirley" to be their landlady and later marry Laverne's dad.

@@Jotinko Me too but she was funnier when she was the receptionist at the hospital getting Archie signed in than she was when she was living there.

I never thought Gloria was wrong about the little lipstick samples. She may have worked there but she was also a customer and shopped there. So she was also a customer and had a right to some samples as long as she didn't really hog a lot of them.

@@Zebra_3 Some. As in a few. I remember my mom having a lot of those little white lipstick samples from Avon. That's probably what Gloria was bringing home. If my mother as a customer had that many surely Gloria can have a few.
@@alondralabute2310 I know people that borrow openly equipment bigger than the drill for the weekend, it's all good as long you tell the supervisor.
@@Zebra_3 Or ask. If Archie had asked to borrow the drill for the weekend and was given permission (as long as he agreed to replace it if he broke it) that would've been fine. To just take it without asking was theft. And a very stupid risky thing to do. He could've been fired.

I love Irene, but yes.

So if a store has samples of hot pizza for customers, is it stealing if you take more than one sample?
I think it depends on the store's policy. Sometimes, customers are only allowed one sample and they will be told that or there will be a sign that says something like 'one per customer please.'
Employees are a different matter. Over 30 years ago I worked briefly in a restaurant. It was one of those corporate chain restaurants. Under no circumstances were the employees to eat any food unless 1) you bought it (we got a discount) and 2) you were on your break. Even if a customer ordered something and when it came out they didn't like the way it looked or they changed their mind and wanted to order something different we couldn't eat it ourselves. We had to throw it in the trash (which I thought was sinful as it was wasting food). They called it 'garbage eating' and if you were caught you would get fired.
Archie was so pig headed he got things messed up.but Edith loved him anyway.❤🎉❤

Is it just me or does everyone want to tell Meathead to STFU whenever he talks?
100 percent agree….especially as I get older. Mike has absolutely no place lecturing Archie about a WORK related matter….something he knows nothing about.
Yea ME. Because not only am I a republican like Archie, but 'da meathead' was such a hypocrite. Archie borrowing the drill for the weekend was not stealing. And Gloria taking a couple free samples was not stealing either. But technically Mike DID cheat the telephone company.
I often want to tell him to STFU! He was so holier than thou and here he was an atheist. Why did they portray the so-called Christian Archie as dishonest and the atheist as righteous? Mike was a sanctimonious prig sometimes. The phone call thing was not a big deal but when he acted like Gloria was a thief for taking lipstick samples from work (when she was also a customer of that store so entitled to a few) then he opens himself up for scrutiny and he fails the test. Hypocrite!
