Fun facts RC Cola was the first to introduce caffeine free cola. First to sell cola in cans, and they introduced 16 oz. Bottles. They also introduced the first diet cola, Diet Rite.

In an earlier segment of the show Mike said he liked RC, Edith liked Coke and Gloria liked Pepsi. With all those different colas in the fridge, it's a wonder there was room for Archie's beer!

Under another video clip, I noted that his classes, reading, researching and writing papers did not consume every waking hour, seven days a week for the five years through the end of graduate school. Even eight or ten hours a week he could have managed. Not like he carried a full course load at the equivalent of Harvard or MIT.
Technically he had 2 part time Jobs on the show, one was tutoring a kid(while Archie was on strike) and the other was working in a gas station(for a month) to pay Archie back 250 bucks that the meathead got as an inheritance that he gave to a political campaign which made Archie mad
@@momichaux5054 He should've kept the job at the gas station. He could've asked for a flexible schedule so he could've worked at least one shift on a weekend day. Or a couple evenings a week. He didn't even work summers when he was off school. He could've easily gotten a summer job and helped defray his bill to Archie but no!
this must've been where they got the idea for the pepsi challenge, this episode aired a year before pepsi started the campaign, this was the most popular show on tv and everybody watched back then, including pepsi execs

I was a kid in the 60's and I loved this show, I knew many adult guys just like Archie, some of my own realities, and Edith was great.
