That's why you can see that Ali wasn't even angry. He was just like "you slapped me. You crazy." Holmes said he wasn't even throwing full punches and was pretty much throwing open hand slaps in this fight because he didn't wanna KO his friend. This fight was just a paycheck to both of them with no real animosity. Holmes even hugged Ali and cried after the fight because he regretted punishing Ali like that.
