If you have switch 3 active and you miss the OOB piece grab, it is still possible to grab the piece. This trick is pretty precise. I look at the wall texture and the position of knuckles' feet. To perform the trick, position yourself the way I do in the video, then simultaneously jump and hold down on the control stick, and glide shortly after. I highly recommend using a savestate to learn this. Suck it darkpr0.

The normal way is to hit water level switch 2 and then swim up from below but this is way faster.
