Hey, We're a plural system of musicians, artists, and gamers. We make clone hero custom songs and sometimes do speedrunning. We also do the occasional hot pepper challenge. We stream very irregularly on twitch.tv/JazzEnsemble.

Really bad first half with a good ending. Unfortunately I can't stand to grind this for more than a handful of runs because the first 20 seconds of this IL are so bad. I warmed up with a 1:12.29 with savestates and then got 2 full runs and this was the best one. If I ever get a clean run maybe I can be happy with this IL but it's so rare to see. Also funny PB with the funny backup strat 30 seconds in. No, it's not faster.

I have the pace to get much faster. 1 second if I get top spring, maybe 2 or so from a better TASrun, another second if I get the loopspeed trick at the end, plus I think I've had better paces in general so I think 1:12 isn't an unreasonable goal for me. This was my limit for the day because I was getting tired and unfocused. I should be able to go quite a bit faster than this. This is a pretty fun speedrun. It becomes more of a fast reaction and precision clicking simulator at this level. most of my runs that die are because of a misclick. Spent the day learning every country just to get this run. I was very scared of accidentally misclicking something at the end because I'd lost quite a few runs to being pixels off on the smaller countries.

I only needed 600 points, I could have easily just sent it with a 7x combo or something at the end and gotten a clean 2:20, but I fished for a perfect when I didn't need it and my laser timer ran out before I released. I think this was nerves honestly. Avoidable mistake cost me the record.

New route For EE M4 A rank, quite risky because it's easier than you might think to accidentally hit the goal and E rank. In theory this could be much faster, potentially even sub 2:00 with perfect whistle glitching. I'll push this further because this isn't even WR, but the potential for a massive WR is there. I theorized this route during a bathroom break. while trying to find a way to combine two pieces of tech in a way that saves time. I wish it was actually faster because of how badass it is but it only breaks even with standard stuff, while going for a mock bounce after a more standard water tower skip can save over half a second to this, while being somewhat easier to perform.
Pumpkin hill almost turned me into a ghost.

Big improvement since I started but still not satisfied with this at all. major timelosses at the end, some minor ones at the start too. For reference my best pace up to the first gravity switch is 10.70, best pace up to glass break is 22.1x, best pace up to checkpoint 2 is a 35.0x. all of those paces are ahead of WR, I just need to grind the ending until I'm consistent and I'm likely capable o...

I found various other optimizations at the start after this run, but ran out of energy for the day, so this will have to do for now. I could push this to 1:03 and if I get comfortable with bad Cam CGSS again I can actually implement a route change that saves about 5 seconds, so 58 would be on the menu and I could aim for top 3. The normal way is to hit water level switch 2 and then swim up from below but this is way faster.
Hitting the Checkpoint after the kill plane is such an insane strat. Amazing run!

i ate one once. i would certainly do it again save for one reason: digestion. the pain in my mouth and throat was extreme but for some reason i love it. but the second i swallowed it i knew that i had fucked up. 24 hours of pain ensued. i do not understand how doing shit like this doesnt regularly kill people. but props to you for doing it, its insane to watch!

It’s actually a common misconception that the more peppers you eat, the higher the Scoville rating. Unfortunately this guy did not eat the equivalent of a Carolina Reaper pepper. He just ate a lot of 50,000 Scoville habaneros.
