Thank you Giles . I've enjoyed using it so far . Not to sure on modifying it as yet . Added a waist belt to it , I reckon I'll use it as it is for a bit and see how it goes. Hope you'regood mate. Thank you for watching bud 👍🏕.
Cracking pack mark, I've sewn dpm British army utility/water bottle pouchs ,one on each side, I used strong waxed thread, and sewed just in the sides of each pouch, leaving the top and bottom open ,by hand ,hard work but worth it, I use one for my crusader mk 1 cook set and mug, other side first aid kit, brew bag etc, saves diving in the main bag just for a brew, nice one, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Thanks Craig . Yeah do love the pack , but like you say that is a slight drawback having to dive into the main pack for a brew or a drink . Just don't want to ruin the pack . I haven't stitched anything other than a small hole before 😂. Take care mate 👍 🏕
Thank you . Still not sure what to do with the pack . I have added a waist strap to it . I think I'll leave it at that for now. Thank you for watching. Take care 👌🏕
Hi Mark - it's been a while. I've been on a wide arc. Nice to be out in the almost wild. It suits the pack. I think their are some good possibilities there. I reckon you'll have fun with it. Nice of the folks to send it you. Well, good going. All the best out there. Mark
Yes thank you Mark . Still not sure if I'm going to modify it. It was very kind of them to send it and I'll be using it fairly regularly ( hopefully). I hope you're doing good mate . Take care 👌🏕
@@treksntarps A pleasure. I like it looking minimal Mark - I reckon it will still be a good sack. Me? Been injured and have been trying to overcome. Peace.
@@WyeExplorer Yes mate looking forward to using it with some old skool bits. Sorry to hear that mate. I hope you're on the mend and have things to look forward to. Take care Mark 🏕 👌
That buzzard was loud , nice packs them , used to see a lot of people using them , nice to be sent that , I wouldn't have a clue how to modify it but looks good as it is , never used one though. Take care mate 👍 atb
Thank you Gaz . Yes not sure what to do with it at the moment . I think I'll use it as it is a few times and see how it goes . That buzzard was very close 😳. Take care mate and thanks for watching 👌🏕
Love mine.. even stitched on a Lavuu Owners Worldwide leather patch on it but for some reason ( probably its weight ) I don't use it much. Hip belt a must for me. Side pouches ? If you need them use a bigger pack.
Hi Martyn . Yes I think that might be the way I go . Got a hip belt on there now and room to strap bits on the outside so might not bother with side pouches . I'll use it as is for a bit and see how it goes. Thank you for watching and take it easy 👍🏕
I sewed the Swedish web belt to the lower back support this doesn’t give a perfect hip belt feel of a modern pack. A grap handle out of P-cord, a.l.I.c.e. shoulder straps. I also sewed one inch D-rings sets around the frame in eight spots with one inch webbing. This gives a light option to have cargo straps to carry fire wood or bulky boxes. Can also be used for compression straps on the bag I can even add some mollie pouches to the one inch webbing. The lk35 use to be my every day bag for three years and now maybe just a few times a year. I carry the Norwegian rucksack more often. GOOD LUCK it’s a fun piece of gear until you try to hike twenty miles in a day!!
👍 . Thank you . Some real food for thought there . So many possibilities with the LK . May still leave it as is . I have added a waist belt , and don't intend hiking 20 miles with it 😂. Thank you and take care 👍🏕
I wouldn’t bother touching it apart from a waist belt - it’s designed to be worn with a webbing set otherwise it can dig in depending on the weight I also use a helikon foxtrot with it which the frame can rest on - I think it is a love or hate pack though , good luck Regards Mick
Thanks Mick . Yes I'm really not sure yet . I'm going to use it as is for a bit ( with a belt ) and see how it goes. Enjoying using it so far so I think I'm in the love group. Might use some sort of webbing rig with it maybe . Take care bud 🏕 👌
Hi Clive . Hope you're well mate. Really not sure what to do ( if anything ) with the pack . Going to use it as it is a few more times and see if I become enlightened 😂. Thanks for watching mate. Take care 🏕👍
Older-style packs like the LK35 are good for strapping a large bedroll (or maybe a full swag) draped over the top and down the sides like an upside-down U, and a ground mat slung underneath... 35L is deceptively big when you consider it's usage in that way.
Thank you . Good suggestion there . I'll have a go at that . Maybe this weekend. Yes the pack is surprisingly spacious I've had loads in there and a tarp on the bottom and a bedroll on top . Take care and once again thank you 👌🏕
Cheers Hardy . Really not sure how to go about it . Dont want to ruin it 😂.. Hooe you're good mate . I'll have to catch you soon . Take care good Sir 👌🏕🌅🏞
Seriously, I would suggest you DO NOT MOD it at all. If you learn to pack it right and tune the strapping correctly it does not need mods. BTW my LK 35 has 3 back cross tension straps which is how they were originally issued. Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts. Helen.
Hi. I've decided not to mod it as yet, apart from adding a hip belt. Getting on with it fine as it is . Do have to pack bits in the top for easy access if you're walking a bit of a way to camp , I.e. Water and snacks . Thank you for watching 🏕👍🌄
I just had a mint condition LK35 delivered to Australia for the eye-watering price of £120... It's the second-last one left available ANYWHERE online in the world, by the looks of it (and no, I'm not telling where the very last one is). I'm sure there's a few floating about in Swedish army surplus stores that aren't listed online, but online, yeah, gone....
I wish I'd kept my LK35 (Well it was an LK45 as it had 2 x 5L rocket pouches either side... it was so uncomfortable, I even did the kidney belt modification but the frame just dug in ll the time... I'll try and find the vid and send ya the link on insta
Cheers Lee . Yes mate I've heard really differing views on its comfort . I haven't used it much as yet but so far I find it surprisingly comfortable. I'll check the vid out after me tucka. Take care mate 👍🏕
I’ve heard great things about that pack Mark. Reckon you’ll put it to very good use Mate ⛺️🌲👍

@@treksntarps I'm sure you do Mark - it's a cool bag. Yeah, working on it - it's been a stubborn one.
What a cool gift!
Thanks Dan . It is . Not sure how to adapt it or even if I will yet . No rush.
Take care mate 👍 🏕
I use a Mole 2 padded belt attached to the frame and it carries great with less than 30 lbs.
Thank you . I've been using a knock off alice waist belt . Helps. But keeps coming loose . Might have to look 8nto that one 👍

I've heard that the LK35 can be uncomfortable for taller guys who are near or over 6 foot tall...
