Something about these games are just so satisfying in a way that no other games(or very few) do. The mechanical aspects of all the puzzles, the gears, sounds and how everything fits together so perfectly, it's like those satisfaction videos but for puzzles.
I genuinely respect that the developers don't use miro transactions or ads. Everything about this game screams quality. I HIGHLY recommend the VR game too.
Absolutely. I still replay them just for sheer pleasure. Everything about them, from the mechanics to the aesthetics to the atmosphere to the hints of lore is just perfect. This series has created a little niche in my heart that I've struggled to find many other games to fill.
3:33:30 Didn't want to go full astronomy nerd in the comments but I can't resist ~ It is Mars! The thing about it though is it all ties together very well - the temple complex you end up at in the "Lost" ending is actually the same one you were exploring on the screen from about 2:41:00. The whole room is actually Mars-themed. The globe covered in lines that you have to turn to find the symbols to enter onto the display (2:39:00) actually has some history behind it. From around the 1870s the leading theory was that Mars was a kind of dying desert world and a lot of the surface features were canals built by the Martians to carry meltwater from the polar caps and irrigate the land. So in essence the globe is an attempt to map out the Martian canal systems, and since the game takes place in around 1900, it would've been very much in line for the time. I'd beaten this game before you uploaded this video but what tipped me off was a label you can actually see at 2:39:45, "Acheron", which is the name of an actual region on Mars. And as for the model planet you get after beating the temple puzzle, well you can guess. All in all it's pretty much irrelevant to the gameplay itself but since Mars is my favorite planet, the fact that the devs went to the trouble of adding in that level of detail makes me very happy😄😄 Also to answer what you said at 2:47:45, people in the 1500s and 1600s knew about several planets - the existence of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn (aka the "classical planets") has actually been common knowledge since before the ancient Greeks. By the late 1600s they had even discovered some of the bigger moons of Jupiter and Saturn!
Thanks Gab - What a great surprise tonight ! The Room series are puzzle games on beautiful steroids. Most intricate and imaginative games I've ever seen. So happy to play it with you
This stream feels like so long ago! This one really racked my brain a few times but I love these games. All the little sounds and clicks and small details really add to it.
Haha same! But back then we didn’t have a room full of people watching us and giving advise when we get stuck. Still good though. I got stuck in the smelting place forever 😢
One minute in and already one of the million reasons Ms Goobers is my favourite creator: Ominous diary entry"...I wish I had never come.." Gab "I wish I had this handwriting, this is great handwriting" 🤣 Absolutely adore you! 🤘
God, I love so love your glee as you play through these games. I loved your Elder Ring series too, because you gave me an experience of that incredible game - that I have not yet been able to play - from the perspective of someone very like myself, but with The Room games, I get to experience again the absolute joy and intellectual rush of puzzle-solving as I did when I played them
2:09:11 tbh when you think about it, the lazy part about this is building all these buildings on the same island. You have access to all of vast time and space, and yet decided to build your workshop village all on the same storm-prone island. Seems like a bad plan!
I love this series so much! I’ve paid, downloaded, and played each game on my iPad and it’s so awesome to see my favorite gamer play it as well. Thank you gabs!
I LOVE YOUR ROOM SERIES. I was jumping on the channel to catch up to your Elden Ring series, and was not expecting to see the Room 3 on your channel. Instant watch, always love it when you play games like these :)
About things being tiny or big in the game. The Null element does seem to enable some sort of teleportation in to a 4th space dimension (a 2d image containing a box etc). So you could argue that the element can scale things as well. Even if you are seemingly inside a small model, in reality it might be huge inside still :)
Awesome timing, had an absolute mare of a day at work and now I get to sit down with a nice cup of tea and some PUZZLES and relax! Cheers, Gab! 🤍Love the Room games, I was hoping you'd do another installment at some point.
I’ve played all five games including the recent with the vr headset. I hope she can borrow jack’s head set as the extra immersion of virtual reality makes it more creepy
Hey Gab, I know you prob won't see this, but just wanted to say these episodes have brought me a lot of comfort in dark times in my life recently...so thankyou for doing them, I'll be forever grateful ❤
2:14:15 Ha it's funny. I remember Draco from some younger years. It was also referenced in the movie Dragonheart. The constellation holds some personal meaning for me; I have often been fond of dragons and I was born under that particular Chinese zodiac sign. I also apologize that I've been watching this lengthy video in smaller batches. Been keeping pretty busy, too much to watch a three-hour video esp when I've also been following Sean's playthrough now for Elden Ring. 😊 Personal note : I also missed a day or two on watching this, been waiting to hear back on some possibly troubling news. It feels good sitting back down though to watch this playthrough, helps to take my mind off things for awhile. Thank you. 😊
I love The Room series, I've played them all. Next is Old Sins...I can't wait for a new one to come out. If you like these games you should try House of Da Vinci and Machinika Museum. I loved watching you beat these puzzles! Maybe it's been long enough that I could replay The Room One and not fly through it.
When I found the first one I couldn't stop playing it, or the second or the 3rd. LOL I cant wait for them to hopefully make more. I love the stories they placed into it as well.
I want to thank you for making this game more enjoyable, you made it (funner, gooder, cool-jet, Groovy awesome, Biotchen. ) You have a cat, I have a Black Lab.
Finally bought and played through this game today; watched the Room 1&2 videos when they came out because I’d already played them, but had to stop before this. This should be fun.
I think the “Null” is the void the linking book fell into in the opening scene of Myst. That’s where Sirrus and Achenar are trapped. Their incessant maniacal laughter would give anyone nightmares. 😆
From the perspective of viewing a VR recording, i find the teleportation for moving completely fine, happy to watch it, not annoying at all. Although i must confess, i find it hilarious when you freak out and teleport to various points haha
Thank you for another fantastic Room game playthrough! 💜 I kinda like that your first ending resulted from basically following the information and items as provided and found, then moving on as soon as you could, especially since that's something they kept emphasizing! (Don't dally in the library; stay on track; finish before the 12th chime of midnight bc time matters more than you know or anyone expected/suspected; etc...) It was obvious that you wanted to explore around, but kept stopping yourself and forcing yourself to stay on track; I expect anyone in a similar situation would do likewise. 🌟 I also was so, so happy with how they handled allowing the gamer to experience the alternate endings with minimal fuss and unnecessary repetition! All love, all around!!! 💜💕💜 (And while I REALLY hope you're able to record the VR version, I suspect it'll be quite stomach-churning, seeing as the regular games already have a bit too much woozy-type movement, but hope is eternal.😉)
2:48:19 regarding the VR game, if it helps to know, the VR game is all teleportation travel, so there's less chance of motion sickness :D Old Sins is my fav of the series, i hope you enjoy it (whenever you get to playing it)!
Hi, the reason you get sic in VR is the pictures are just behind the speed of you turning your head. But you do not notice it. So it looks normal to you. But over time it makes your brain feal like its drunk. And you have to give it a rest. Until your brain gets use to normal vision. Or Its motion sickness. Where you eyes are telling you brain your moving. But your balance centers in your ears are saying your not moveing. And your brain starts to argue with itself and more and more of the brain joins in. Until the part of the brain that controls the stomach joins in and you feel sick. This is done subconsciously (Meaning you do not know its doing it.) And again you have to give VR a rest until you feal better.
I hope Gabs does the VR game someday. This seems like the perfect game for it, the gameplay is basically what VR before gaming was "used" for. Examining 3d objects, the tactile part of it, looking around. But if she feels nauseous I completely understand, and hope they make it for Pac one day ^~^
wow. i bought the room and the room 2 a couple years ago, before covid, and i was so creeped out so i just stopped, but i started doing it again with my friends and i love the lore!
2:20:10 ...i can see that many stars, I live in rural midwest USA :) Walk outside where it's super dark and stare up for like 1-2 minutes and you'll see more than the game shows even.
Ahhh I'm so excited! I was wishing for another Room video from you so bad recently! I even downloaded a game that's a bit similar but shorter and simpler, Machinika Museum. It was fun, but this is better 😊
The Lost ending is good because they can make another game out of it where you go through these strange buildings, doing riddles to find your way back home. Then they can make a Getting Home, a See the World Burn, Get Stuck Forever and Unleash Something Else ending! Just an idea ;P
I think you would really enjoy a game called Amrikrog. It’s a claymation puzzle game that centers around a space pilot who crash landed on an alien planet and is looking for a way home. It’s a lot of fun!
Thank u so much for your amazing work and help I couldn't done this game without your help there are parts of this game where u can get stuck and have know idea what's next I really appreciate your UA-cam channel
Bethlehem was the name of an insane asylum, which eventually became the word "bedlam." It might also be a reference to Yeats: "And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?"

Better with touchscreen than mouse imo. Just feels much more organic and real.
Gintoki what are u doing here
this game will never get old, the first room is 10 years old, and still a masterpiece
What about the 2nd one?
10?! I just got into the game...I think I'm late
@@thelavenderangel4325 your not late, your just in time for it to be a "classic" title

Yay I can finally watch Gab's videos again
The more of The Room that Gab plays the closer she gets to my favourite one, the VR one.
This stream feels like so long ago! This one really racked my brain a few times but I love these games. All the little sounds and clicks and small details really add to it.
you would not believe that I was just binging your Room series just today!! This is such a pleasant surprise ahaha you made my day
Im not done binging the Elden Ring videos but Im so happy with another puzzle video from Gab! Woohoo!

Happy birthday!!
I just adore any puzzle games you do - Nancy Drew, Rusty Lake, HOGs, I just love how chill they are!

She is describing the Whoopsie Wave. When you get caught in the crossfire of two people waving to eachother
If i remember correctly, this one has multiple endings so you should look out for stuff to do and complete
it has 3 or 4 endings
She did do all four endings.
The Room and The Cube Escape games I have been waiting for and that thumbnail gets me excited!
I LOVE YOUR ROOM SERIES. I was jumping on the channel to catch up to your Elden Ring series, and was not expecting to see the Room 3 on your channel. Instant watch, always love it when you play games like these :)
The room 3 all chapters:

Interesting comparison. I've sometimes thought that the Craftsman was sort of Atrus's evil counterpart from an alternate universe.
