I adore your snort/nasal chuckle. The one you do when you find yourself being exceptionally clever. Your abrasive charm is one of a kind. Keep being you. Your honest presentation is delightfully strong. (strong women are often difficult for many to take.)
I just love Dr Lori and would give anything to go see her . I have 2 vintage quilts that I would love to take to see the value of them they are very old I got them from a sweet old lady who was 100 years old and I have my granny’s lamp that is over 100 years old slag glass double light lamp and it is bigger then this one here the base of mine has the slag glass and lights up also it was her fathers but I’ll never get to see Dr Lori because my husband is stage 4 pancreatic cancer my life is sad but I do hope that everyone who gets to meet Dr Lori knows just how blessed they are !
I love lamps! I keep eyeballing the ones my mom has from my grandparents, they're the ones that look like they should be oil lamps but run on electric. As the youngest, I should probably put dibs in hmm?
Dr. Lori it was such a thrill for me to attend your event july 17th. I want to thank you for your genuine kindness...i learned so much! Heart felt thanks!
@@untbunny she was so nice...shes so beautiful....such fair skin...i felt like i knew her...like that favorite cousin we all have...then when she got to the table, it was all business....i have contacted a few clients to arrange an event in my home town...if you get the chance to go to an event bring your bestie and make the drive! I learned so much an saw items i otherwise would have never gotten to see...including a rock worth over $10,000 ....very cool!!
Dear GIRLFRIEND DR. LORI...THANK YOU A ZILLION FOR POINTING OUT THE ELECTRICAL PART OF THAT LAMP!!!! AS MUCH AS A BEAUTY THE LAMPS ARE I OWN NOMA AND OTTHER CHRISTMAS LIGHTING ...AND IF NOT FOR MY SON NOTICING....MY HOME WOULD BE BURNED DOWN. I PERSONALLY WOULD LOVE IF YOU MY DEAR EXPERT TO SHARE THIS WITH LOCAL FIRE COMPANIES AS WELL AS THE CONSUMER WHO LOVES COLLECTING THE OLD....AND MOST QUALITY PIECE'S. THANK YOU DR. LORI. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You provide a great service...very knowledgeable. I have a EF & EF Industries no. 145-4-5X table lamp. The metal is very soft, so I wonder if it is lead, or what metal it might be. FYI the slag glass is green. Some of the metal joins have separated any advise as to how to repair?
Thanks for following my channel. I'm an appraiser not a restorer, so you want to get a professional repair. A good start is to contact your area museum and ask who they use for restoration and conservation services. Please don't use a hack method you find online. I've seen many valuable pieces ruined when people use unqualified source online. Hope this helps.
I found a vase I think is slag glass but would love to know for sure. Do you have a site where I can upload pictures and you take the time to look at them and give your opinion?
What an interesting channel. I found your channel by accident but happy nonetheless. I have 2 lamps, they both have the paper cord attached to the plug and I believe they are both would be collectors pieces. I would really like to get some idea of their value, How do I reach out to you and show them to you.? Thank you
Welcome Sheryl. I can look at the lamps if you submit photos using the form on my website, you can bring them to an event or schedule a FaceTime or Skype call.

Onepug at the sea green oat grass on a blanket. Two pugs are one black, and one sand color setting in snow graders behindwith snow pinecones beside them it's beautifully looks like tiffany yet name of artist first name starts with S last with M can anyone share about this unusual lamp a friend said its very old.
Send me Photos. Use the form on my website. To get to the form, watch a video and click on the "i" icon in the top right corner. See my face? Click on that and it will take you to the Send Photos form on my website.
At least you didn’t have to tell that group of visitors to talk into the mic and that it’s “not a back scratcher.” Hahaha. Awesome advice on lamps and how to date them. And I’ll be going to your website drloriv.com to get more information on learning plug shapes and ages. Thanks again Dr. Lori!!
People use my online appraisal reports to help them sell. The reports include a location where a similar piece sold and for how much. This helps answer your question for a specific item. One person used my report to help them sell a plate for over $1,000. They bought the plate at a yard sale for $1.
Dr. Lori is FIERCE with a great sense of humor. Love her!
