If it weren’t for our gold and silver we’d been collecting thru the years, we wouldn’t have been able to make closing on our new home (our old one appraised lower than expected). We took the metals, turned them into cash and closed on our home. BTW this house dates to the 1800s so well worth it lol I’d much rather have this home than junk silver living in the ghetto any day 😆
I just found a Moning Lisa at the thrift store beside the trailer park. It's worth $67 million. I am not selling yet because it looks great beside my fake fireplace in my trailer.
Love your videos, and thank you for everything you do. Quick question, I have in the last few years started adding to my painting/art collection, but I'm constantly running into amazing signed and sometimes numbered pieces; however with a lot of them the signature is in odd fonts/scripts and I can not read it to research them. Besides me having to send every item to you or another appraiser what would you recommend to find more information about pieces like I described where I can not read the artists name?
Dr. Lori you are great im hooked. Try to watch you every day. I have a watercolor painting of fruit and a candle. It has been in family long time. It has inatiles of q.s. or R. S. Cant seem to find out who it is. How do i do this?
Sometimes I see no real standards for evaluations in general.. Sometimes very simple things can be sold in millions and most of the times similar things evaluated very cheap!!
This is going to bother me, what is in the middle of the table it looks like a lamp and doesn't get touched ? Is that a part of the set that I'm waiting for Dr. Lori to appraise ? Lol
Echoplexic al If you mean the squat/round-ish thing in the front with legs that are splayed at the base, it's a cigarette lighter, I think it's from the 60's. My Mom had one just like it. Because my parents never threw anything out, I still have it.😄
doc lori, how much is a drop of water? Lori replied "oh i know , it is around 1950 and the value on this is 5 dollar per bottle. then a guy came around Africa jumped up , I will pay a diamond for that drop of water.
Bruh Africans have water, people seem to forget that countries In Africa also have these things people call 'stores', you know, where they can buy water if they want and have the money for it.
Most important thing she said. Hold on to your gold and silver items.

She has videos that have info on paintings. Good luck, you may need a professional
It can be difficult to tell the difference between an acrylic and an oil painting.
Acrylic is shiny oil is matte
