It's not a heavy song, but I won't tell much else about it not to spoil first impression. Virus is confirmed to be Vector 2 conceptually. It's gonna be a heavy album for sure. And man, Prosthetic is a killer! It got serious criticism about being "just another prog metal song, not unique" but who cares? The band can't come up with anything new each time. Also, I do think that Prosthetic is better than most heavy prog metal songs. As long as it's an "improvement" on others, I don't really care it being not unique. I agree about the chorus though. Not sure if angelic voice would fit this song, but the vocal riff could have been less repetitive maybe. As for Caligula's Horse, I didn't even know they released a single! The album has a suite named Messiah Complex that links to other albums: - The Architect (Affinity): "I calculate to cure the virus, the solution is wrong" Also, Canary Yellow has a sound similar to Bound By Gravity and Red Giant. - Vector, because of the images in the video clip of Prosthetic, it has something to do with The Good Doctor or his patient. It's Haken for me. But there are way better songs on Virus. F.e. Invasion. Hope that will be a single as well. The new Haken album exceeds the new CH for me (music editor).
All is fair in battle lol
Huge fan of both bands here. I love Haken little bit more. But I absolutely despise Prosthetic for some reason :D Maybe THE only song I dislike from them. Probably the weak chorus. Also I think riffs are heavy but kinda meat headed as well. Just my opinion.
Haha love it, great comment. CH gets the slight nod for me as they have made me cry 2 times on first listens lol but they are so close it is impossible to pick... Same with newer Leprous!
@@captainmorgan1978 Have you reacted the Cockroach King as well? It's their most popular song so you probably did but I just couldn't find it on your channel. If you did how can I access the video of it :D
@@enderbarsakn4650 We did do that on the channel. In the description of the recent videos there is a link to an excel doc that has the date and bands reacted to. Just do a quick search there and it should tell you which video it is.
HAKEN for the win for me.
I agree on this one!
Have you checked out Richard henshall solo stuff???
I haven't ?:)
@@captainmorgan1978 definitely check it out. I'd like to hear what you think of the band Vola as well.
No offense to Haken, because I honestly love them, but pick any song by Caligula's Horse and it's instantly gonna be 100x better than Haken's last two albums
Can't agree there but definitely agree that CH has got the it factor
@@captainmorgan1978 True fair enough aha. Yeah I'm not here to roast them but I just felt like Vector and Virus sounded like they could have been written by any random guitar based metal band. As opposed to their previous albums which all sounded like Haken, and only Haken could pull off sounding like that.
Vector/Virus just sounded like everyone else, which is not why I listen to Haken. I listen to them for energetic carnival breakdowns and their insane compositions
Dude, cussing is good, man. Haken will make you exaggerated!
Haha shit yea! 😊
@@captainmorgan1978 yea! I've said, NEVER! For Haken to surprise me, again... Still they menace to do it. Check the Meshuggah sound. Naaaail it....
ok tbh... Caligula's Horse's song was pretty lame compared to the Haken one.
I wouldn't say lame, but Haken definitely won rd2...but for me CH CLEARLY won Rd 1 and that is STILL my fav song of all these bands/songs on the channel so far by CH battle 1 :)
