i'm lvl 50 and completed the game on normal and true vault hunter mode so is there anykind of raid bosses or something since soloing mayhem 3 is starting to get too easy?
Best Borderlands and I've owned and still do all of them including presequal. It is like they took the best parts of all of the games and made a masterpiece. If you are just now doing a triple a not going to buy games move do it on another game. This one is too good and ties all of the story together. Literally even small told stories all make sense in the end. no spoilers here just all good fun.
If you play with friends they can put all the parts you dont have on a vechile then you can drive it into the catch a ride and get the parts that way also
yeah, thats a bit annoying in this game, though with how easy it can be to die on bosses, I usually spend my money on slots unless I'm doing side quests or have enough money to buy a upgrade, losing 20K money because you were saving up for the 243k SDu....can suck.
This is the important things i figured this out on accident and abused it after unlocking mayhem 3. Park the car next to where the fight is and good luck

@@JonCollinsMedia The list is short, and awkward to navigate. I find it really annoying compared to BL2. But at least it's not a mile-long list like BL2 has become.

Dude this is real tip, wait to do sides till you get relic or you will go most game without... I still dont have mine either and had to make a rule, keep going till you get it and dont stop for anything else. I suck at following this rule...
Borderlands is a game that HIGHLY encourages you to respec and play around with your characters skills and abilities. Its one reason I love it so much. It reminds me of a deck of cards in a tcg. You have all these choices and it's fun coming up with synergies between your builds and gear.
TIPS: You can mail loot to your friends in the mail system. Also, to emote, press and hold the "start" or middle button on your controller. It took me forever to figure that out!
Another thing with the vendors: Markus' vending machine at his shop on Sanctuary 3 will always sell weapons that are scaled with your character. So if you're level 30 the weapons he sells will be level 30 and so on so forth.
I feel the pain xD I was level 50 had to start over due to some issues lever 1p right now and just found that out ran through the pandora mission where hes like you gonna need a special gun like okay bro can I have it? XD
I've got one, if your inventory is full and you don't really wanna pick up a bosses loot for whatever reason, you can leave it (provided it's not stolen by other players in competitive mode) and gain them from the Loot Dispenser on the Sanctuary, it saves a record of Loot provided it's Blue or higher and the machine itself's not full and gives them to you there, just saves some time with selling other guns etc
As a Veteran player I can say this an accurate video. Only forgot 2 things. 1. Pick up weapons all the time on missions and sell them 2. Check the “missed loot box” in sanctuary for guns you may have missed or can sell for quick cash 💪💪🔥
Best tip for a new player: Stop watching UA-cam and worrying about legendaries and "best guns" and You have to do this!! Dont watch those videos! Just play the game at your own pace and do all the missions including side missions. By level 50 you'll be a borderlands expert and will enjoy the game 10 times more. Then your 2nd playthrough with a different character watch all the tip videos to find stuff you didnt the 1st time.
I’m brand new too & also playing as Amara. I need to stop watching videos lol. Inventory management challenging to say the least. Next backpack SDU I need costs $27K!
@@jzofop money is easy to get in the game so you wont have to worry, but yeah focus on backpack SDU before ammo. What i did i upgraded my ammo to the first tier which it cost only $1,000 each pretty cheap then i focus on my backpack SDU, either way I recommend backpack SDU. Amara is a badass!
More tips that were probably obvious, but maybe not: • Weapon Trinkets are equipped by selecting the empty square to the left of your weapon in the Inventory Screen (I seriously didn’t figure this out until accidentally hitting left while looking at a weapon’s stats... at LVL 30) • FL4K’s pets will annoy you after a while. They walk around in front of you when trying to interact with items, chests, etc., they will bump you around when they get close, and the Jabber makes noise constantly. They are indispensable for solo players but they will ruin emotional moments (nothing like a touching scene punctuated by my Jabber walking straight through talking characters making noise) and just generally get on your nerves outside of battle. You’ll love em’ at first, and then you’ll wish there was a way to tell them to stay. • You can use the Lost & Found system as extra storage for weapons you want to sell. Blues and above will go to the L&F on Sanctuary so instead of picking up a blue or above that you know you’re going to sell just leave it on the ground (you can view the weapon card without picking it up by just putting your reticle over it) and it will end up in the L&F when you head back to Sanctuary. This does not work if you pick a weapon up and then drop it, so leave it be. You can expand your L&F via SDU upgrades. • Technical issues exist but some people experience more than others. PC players seem to be the hardest hit but I had some doozies those first two days on a X1S. Now it’s just menu lag and the occasional mission glitch that at most requires a quit and reload. I’m sure I can think of more but I need to get back to playing.
@@jzofop then how will I throw my Bombs? :( every button is used, they have soo much crap here, PC is where it's at with all those keys on the keyboard TwT
matthew myers In BL2, I personally would run up to two of the same weapon type except super early on where I never doubled up. The thing is, two weapons of the same type can be vastly different ex: Dahl vs Jakob’s sniper rifles
Not sure if it was pointed out in game, but if you jump high enough (like off a car, ledge, etc.) and then press your crouch button you perform a ground slam.
Shoot the Cube rotating in the middle of the map in Desolation's Edge (Nekrotafeya) - with different elemental guns for each face of the cube - the cube will then drop a lot of loot and vanish (and won't re-appear). Of course, Do this on level 50 for best loot.
im saving all my goldenkeys for when iget to 50 on my character. no use in getting a low leveled one to just replace it by a green at level gun that performs better because of level damage reduction
You can fast travel from anywhere on the map to almost anywhere else. Like, You can fast travel from Athenas to Pandora from the map menu without a fast travel station. If you leave a car somewhere, you can go all the way across the map then fast travel back to that car. You can also slide into barrels to knock them towards enemies and shoot them out of the air for extra elemental damage from environmental hazards. It doesn't come up often, but it looks flashy and you feel cool doing it. Respecing is easy and I recommend doing so often as you level up if you find skills you want to put points into that you can't or because you find stuff that better synergizes. Playing Fl4k, the Stalker and Hunter trees are devastating when used together. The skill Hidden Machine might seem useless, but in conjunction with Fade Away you get up to 30% extra damage for free, on top of all your crit bonuses.
My piece of advice to new players explore the maps for a little bit so you can find some chests that way then collect all side quest you stumble upon and the do them before any main, mission that way you get good gear and level up a bit and by the time you're at the boss you can melt them easy peasy
actually, the typhon chests don't respawn into new game plus, so opening them ''early on in the game'' where you progress levels faster and constantly get new weapons would be a total waste. wait until lategame and just find the typhon logs so you secure yourself potential OP gear for a lvl where you keep it at least a few ingame hours befor they get outleveled again.
Note: the level scale only happens is you keep mayhem mode on. Or go to true vault hunter mode. Also a thing I wish that was mentioned: weapon manufacturers have different things that make them special. For example maliwan has a charge up before firing. Tourge has slow fire speed. Hypirion has slow reload. So not only should you space out your weapon types but also your manufacturers. Because those seconds of reloading can make all the difference
things i don't understand the game doesn't talk about: - are the percentage weapon stats on the bottom of a gun already factored into the numbers above? - what is splash damage + how do i do it? (for the Amara skill) - how do the overheat weapons work? if you unequip them, do they regenerate bullets?
Overheat weapons fire until the heat meter maxes out, then you have to do a quick repair which will reset the meter. The ammo comes directly from your backpack, but does not regenerate
Quick tip when your gear is getting under leveled put your favourite guns in your wepon vault in sanctuary and sell whatever else you have rather then just swapping it for new gear
You will periodically have weapons mailed to you in game, sometimes just from gun makers for using their guns. These will always be at your level upon being mailed. 1. Got a level 50? Got a bunch of trash 50 guns in your mailbox? Want another character? Claim those guns on your new character and sell them off for a nice starting bank. Also, people forget you can trade in game. This includes money. If you got a level 50 sitting on millions of dollars, trade that money to a friend, have the friend go to Sanctuary, and roll your new level 1 character, and het your money back and buy up your SDUs for a solid start. Also, do not finish Zer0's crew challenge. Save one until you hit 50. That way, you'll get a level 50 Lyuda in the mail. One of the most sought after weapons in game.
Based off the early mission where Ellie tells you how to find the red chest I feel like I’m missing a lot of hidden loot, I see all these weird markings on walls and stuff and I know they have to be there for something
Which ones cause so far the most fucking annoying are the ratch as for the none creature bugs luckily i've not had a problem although i did get stuck once on athena when i was doing something for Ava.
Everyone who has performance problems on nvidia cards, uninstall your physx drivers you will get about 20% more performance. and the performance wont dip as much with many enemies on screen. The Stutter will persist tho EDIT: Borderlands always struggled with phys x but this time it wont let you deactiva it ingame. it will also help alleviate much of the screen clutter in intense fights!
Pro tip for Moze players: Just spec into the orange tree and unlock the fists for Iron Bear (the mech). There is actually little point in unlocking anything else, because when you get pissed off you can just run around and punch whatever it is that's annoying you IN THE FACE. Why would you not want that?
Also if you plan on doing a second playthrough in true vault hunter mode which becomes available after you beat the game the typhon chests dont respawn I would suggest waiting on finishing those till your second playthrough for some real sweet loot
Wait 10 things the game didn't tell you or 2 things the game didn't explicitly tell you and 8 that are explained in dialogue or mission objectives but we didn't pay attention to
I just figured out you can press down on the dpad and switch elemental types on some of the weapons. Shock to Corrosive or Corrosive to Incendiary. Huge help when I figured it out lol.
1: best borderlands ending to date 2: biggest character deception in the borderlands universe (Typhon DeLeon) 3: legendaries are just commons 4: 4 main vaults 5: you can infinitely slide cancel without jumping 10: I ran out of ideas.
If you get a vehicle with car parts you don’t have, it have a icon by the health bar with how many you’ll unlock, and if you freeze a vehicle it can’t move. Also every new u respawn point works as a quick save. Simply exit out and load back in. Very useful in a few maps that stretch on without any fast travel nodes. I’m looking at you, you ridiculous ball boss!
Another one is that you DON'T need to go to a fast travel beacon to actually fast travel.. you can just open your map and fast travel at anytime.. I didn't realize that until like lvl 15.
You can semd your friends loot through the game's mail sytem (under the social tab!) On PS it's the square button, I don't know about PC, but the prompt should be at the bottom, next to the mail. The loot you can send is based off of your current inventory.
I think one thing to note is that the game is a lot softer scaling than bl2 did, much like the pre-sequal, so you don't have to worry too much about being a few levels off when doing stuff. If you get a really good gun it can last for 10 levels at times, that's in the first playthrough anyway.
Ebic gamer tip here: change up your game style as in if your stuck on a boss change your weapons to better things I focus on the things on my weapons like the best ones to look for are *reload time, damage, accuracy* they get through the hard missions and oh are good luck
Actually I have found some guns on Marcus that lasted me several levels. Also when it comes to side quests I'd say it's better to try out stuff during the first playthrough, ezpacially as it would make it a bit easier with more levels and stuff. After you camplete the story you also unlock true vault hunter mode which allows you to replay the campaign with the same character and tougher enemies. Maybe better to rush through that one. Up to you though.
F4 also checks your mail. (If you hold down alt while doing it you have a better chance of getting a legendary.) Okay okay, only the first part is true. :)
Just started playing this, in the area after you get the ship. I was falling asleep playing this game, some of these tips will definitely help me move along
Pick up high tier guns to sell later at the vending machines. It can get a little overwhelming with inventory space, but just try not to worry too much and just drop stuff if you want to pick things up.
U forgot to mention, the guns in crazy Earl's vending machine, is either character spesific or action skill spesific. Meaning, u can get good boost for your build and action skill.

Grossmesser1 You can change it in settings just put it to max
It’s not that bad unless one player is in a menu then it’s horrifying so just have your buddy limit his menu time
@@desox123 My buddy screamed at me so much about the menu I didn't have time to even get a look at my specs and it screwed me over in the end
Couch co-op we went from Borderlands 2 yelling “throwing grenade take cover” to Borderlands “going into the menu take cover!”
Yes cant wait for the patch. They should make a dlc of patches
Borderlands is a game that HIGHLY encourages you to respec and play around with your characters skills and abilities. Its one reason I love it so much. It reminds me of a deck of cards in a tcg. You have all these choices and it's fun coming up with synergies between your builds and gear.
TIPS:
You can mail loot to your friends in the mail system.
Also, to emote, press and hold the "start" or middle button on your controller. It took me forever to figure that out!
I was wondering about loot sharing, that's awesome!
I like to spend on increasing Backpack storage first, that way more items to sell, and the faster I can upgrade the other SDUs
I had to change it back to classic controls... So used to the old one using d-pad to change weapons
Another thing with the vendors: Markus' vending machine at his shop on Sanctuary 3 will always sell weapons that are scaled with your character. So if you're level 30 the weapons he sells will be level 30 and so on so forth.
OOOOOOMMMMMMMFG, that's where my mail is LOL I'm level 31 at this point.
I've maxed 2 characters and just now learned where to find mail :/
I feel the pain xD I was level 50 had to start over due to some issues lever 1p right now and just found that out ran through the pandora mission where hes like you gonna need a special gun like okay bro can I have it? XD
You can slide into barrels to ignite them and send them into enemies
Melee also works to.
YES TALES FROM THE BORDERLANDS YOU DEFINETLY COUNT YOURE SO AMAZING
I've got one, if your inventory is full and you don't really wanna pick up a bosses loot for whatever reason, you can leave it (provided it's not stolen by other players in competitive mode) and gain them from the Loot Dispenser on the Sanctuary, it saves a record of Loot provided it's Blue or higher and the machine itself's not full and gives them to you there, just saves some time with selling other guns etc
A helpful tip would be to hold off on farming until max level
Me: level 50
*watches the video anyways*
Lol I'm lvl 50 as well but wanted to see how obvious this video is
timi posl game good solo
Me as well. Love BL3 content though
Hell I was still learning stuff in UVHM back in 2 :v
being lvl. 50 doesn't mean, you know everything about the game...
As a Veteran player I can say this an accurate video. Only forgot 2 things.
1. Pick up weapons all the time on missions and sell them
2. Check the “missed loot box” in sanctuary for guns you may have missed or can sell for quick cash
💪💪🔥
I wouldn't waste my time watching a video that talked to me like I couldn't figure out picking up guns = money.

Thank you. As a beginner I'm quite lost in to the mechanics of the game, and a bit overwhelmed with the whole universe. Very helpful!
Power through man. This series is worth it. I've been a fan since the first one oh, I've been playing this one since Friday as Amara. I love this game
What the guy above me said.
More tips that were probably obvious, but maybe not:
• Weapon Trinkets are equipped by selecting the empty square to the left of your weapon in the Inventory Screen (I seriously didn’t figure this out until accidentally hitting left while looking at a weapon’s stats... at LVL 30)
• FL4K’s pets will annoy you after a while.
How is telling us that fl4ks pet is annoying a tip? Haha
If you do 69 damage your character will chuckle
For Xbox and Ps4, Weapon shortcuts are unassigned. Head to "Customized" in the Controller section and scoll far down until you see it. Hope this helps
😳 ...I'mma do dat
Sadly it removes your Ping system and side scrolling of the quests. I got used to it now, I just spam triangle/Y until the right gun appears
Be nice to have a weapon wheel like Doom & other games.
@@jzofop then how will I throw my Bombs? :( every button is used, they have soo much crap here, PC is where it's at with all those keys on the keyboard TwT

Don't use four of the same weapon type?
Meanwhile, in Borderlands 2...
*Four Pimpernel Zero would like to know your location*
4 PISTOL SALVADOR WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION
I mean.. for beginners that are new to the series right?
A lil weeb 4 NORFLEET SAL*

In BL2, I personally would run up to two of the same weapon type except super early on where I never doubled up. The thing is, two weapons of the same type can be vastly different ex: Dahl vs Jakob’s sniper rifles
@@crazylasagna3576 pimp zero with different elements and you cant swap any gun except for aniper coz of the skill critical acension
Not sure if it was pointed out in game, but if you jump high enough (like off a car, ledge, etc.) and then press your crouch button you perform a ground slam.
I noticed I did this by accident and couldn’t figure out how I did it, kept jumping and crouching or sliding lol
you jump at the peek then hold the crouch button to do the slam
Theres literally a side quest from ole Clappy that goes over this xD
Ohhhh thanks!!! I kept trying to jump and melee. I thought the took the ground slam out.. didn't think to crouch!
So you guy really took that long to realise there's a slam in this game like the pre sequel.
Running Jakob’s pistol whole game never ran out ammo once
Sounds about right, they hit like a truck, don't need much ammo when it only takes one shot :)
unless you use the flood in which case a tumbler lasts about a second
Me: has beaten the game already
Also me: ooh what didn’t they tell me
Tip when you do arms race don’t bother with the chest locations just farm the small ones until you get a tediore and chuck them all at the boss
Because those seconds of reloading can make all the difference
things i don't understand the game doesn't talk about:
- are the percentage weapon stats on the bottom of a gun already factored into the numbers above?
- what is splash damage + how do i do it? (for the Amara skill)
- how do the overheat weapons work? if you unequip them, do they regenerate bullets?
Splash damage is any explosion. Grenades. Rockets. Torque weapons. Crits on mozee. All of the above.
Ive always wondered the same with the +x% damage on weapons. Is it already factored in or do we have to add that on ourselves to know the true stats
Overheat weapons fire until the heat meter maxes out, then you have to do a quick repair which will reset the meter. The ammo comes directly from your backpack, but does not regenerate
What they don't tell you is that Eden-6 is a 30 fps planet.
I get the worst performance in pandora
Make sure if on pc turn the graphics API to DirectX 11 and turn volumetric fog settings off. I average about 70-80 fps then 🤙
Quick tip when your gear is getting under leveled put your favourite guns in your wepon vault in sanctuary and sell whatever else you have rather then just swapping it for new gear
6:30 the best character skin is the default one, no changes to anything because everyone will change their character leaving your character unique. ;)
Genius
You can empty some of your items out of your back pack by dropping them off the map, it goes to the lost loot in the ship
To apply weapon trinkets you go to the little box to the left of your equipped weapon in the menu and select them from there.
Farm the Crowly family ASAP. It's in the area after Shiv. So do it over and over to get OP loot so early on. I got Legendary weapons at Lv5.
Thing the game doesn’t tell you no1
Watch out for bugs
Which ones cause so far the most fucking annoying are the ratch as for the none creature bugs luckily i've not had a problem although i did get stuck once on athena when i was doing something for Ava.
Facts, my games frame rate is insane
Cause most people have no significant bugs. Especially console
@Cohesive Mocha 7 years is enough time to get the bugs out
@@samgaither793 are implying all of the bugs are just the major ones cause youll never have a bug free game.
I've actually gotten into a groove of respeccing nearly every time I go to the ship in my first playthrough.
Everyone who has performance problems on nvidia cards, uninstall your physx drivers you will get about 20% more performance.
and the performance wont dip as much with many enemies on screen.
The Stutter will persist tho
EDIT: Borderlands always struggled with phys x but this time it wont let you deactiva it ingame. it will also help alleviate much of the screen clutter in intense fights!
Pro tip for Moze players:
Just spec into the orange tree and unlock the fists for Iron Bear (the mech).
Are they character or account restricted? Do they respawn if you change characters?
They've been locked through my first playthrough anyway... cant figure out how to unlock them
Wait 10 things the game didn't tell you or 2 things the game didn't explicitly tell you and 8 that are explained in dialogue or mission objectives but we didn't pay attention to
I just figured out you can press down on the dpad and switch elemental types on some of the weapons. Shock to Corrosive or Corrosive to Incendiary. Huge help when I figured it out lol.
The game should tell you to bring a magnifying glass for splitscreen in order to read stats and text
Mick Danger head over to accessibility and max it out. Hope that helps.
Lmao very true
Holy Platáno accessibility options only allow to change subtitle font size unfortunately :(( but thank you
1: best borderlands ending to date
2: biggest character deception in the borderlands universe (Typhon DeLeon)
3: legendaries are just commons
4: 4 main vaults
5: you can infinitely slide cancel without jumping
10: I ran out of ideas.
I think cause of me being a veteran borderlands gamer these were pretty simple tips lol but I think it’s just because I’ve played so much borderlands
it's for newcomers for sure
Except in BL2 it was totally reasonable to have like, 3 smgs and a shotgun lol.
Weird flex man
Do you think it may be because of the amount of Borderlands you’ve played? You only said it twice in one sentence so I wasn’t sure.
I find it to be way way easier than the older games. I’ve went back to BL2 now and much prefer that
You can semd your friends loot through the game's mail sytem (under the social tab!) On PS it's the square button, I don't know about PC, but the prompt should be at the bottom, next to the mail.

Jakobs guns are my favourite
eddie cornejo hardly used them in the other games but love them in this one
Austin Whitaker same here. The flood is my favorite legendary pistol so far
You can fast travel to a vehicle in the same area from the map!
I had this game since release and i didn’t know about the Matchmaking system 🙃
F4 also checks your mail. (If you hold down alt while doing it you have a better chance of getting a legendary.)
