I play co-op with my Dad who plays Fl4k while I am playing MOZE. Dad told me to try MOZE as Amara may have been to hard and I'm glad I listened to him. MOZE is absolutely awesome

For FL4K’s pets there is also an annoyance when you’re playing slots machine they just walk randomly in and out in front of you and push you out of range with the slots. Very annoying if you have a gambling addiction

I would argue that Moze is a great single player character. Summon the mech at low health to receive a new full health bar and increased damage, and after a couple of upgrades you can exit the mech, have it linger to pull agro and add covering fire. Definitely underrated.
I couldn’t decide between FL4K or Zane. Then I heard the line, “Imagine Han Solo and Boba Fett rolled into one”

Fun fact, ProZD is the voice actor of FL4K.
I have to say Zane for multiple reasons.
1. He holds 2 actions skills.
2. His body double allows him to self revive himself when you get the certain skill.
3. He has a kill skill to life steal, if you pair that up with a certain class mod that allows you to activate kill skills by damaging them it’s basically infinite life steal.
Lastly, he’s just an all around funny character.

I loved FL4K right from the first time I saw him. I always like playing characters that are either big and mysterious (like Krieg) or characters with a pet/summonable (Mechromancer). FL4K combines those for me perfectly. Not to mention that smooth, buttery voice...

Little side note for anyone trying to make this decision on who to play. While some hunters have trees that favor certain playstyles like zane having a tree that benefits from having two skills at once or fl4k with having one built around getting critical hits. There are no perks that directly benefit certain weapon types. No +10% damage with pistols or whatever. So you are not entirely restricted to using specific weapons depending on who you choose

however, weapons are better suited to certain VHs, Moze does best with low capacity shotguns or high capacity high fire rate assault rifles. amara fits best with elemental pistols and smgs, zane does best with smgs and snipers, and FL4K does best with shotguns and snipers. everyone dies the same from launchers
I chose fl4k when I started. Mainly cause he’s a robot, and I like the concept of commanding beasts to help you fight

Fl4k is pretty unique in that he’s got the sniper traits of Mordecai, stealth traits of Zero, and functionality of gaige.

Id reckon zane is really good solo two,as he has a drone that flys around and kills everything(cant die like spider)has a sheild that is invincable, and it can turn into a barrier that is a dome,has a clone that he can swap with so if hes in bad situation or just tactial,and if you spec him right he can have it on for most the fight

Picked Zane for solo play. Really glad I did. I learned playing BL2 how helpful it is to have action skills that can distract your enemies and divide their firepower if you’re gonna do solo. And his dialogue is hilarious.

Also pick up the shield and if you get the shield bubble ability this strategy becomes more godly!
MOZE! She's a Vladof soldier, the lore alone makes her awesome. Not to mention, shes a fantastic mix of Axton and Salvador.

Fl4k, the pets are amazing at drawing agro for sniper builds, and he's got some good dialogue. Zane seems pretty good too, might pick him up just for the personality
The second seat is useful even in solo play, I’d hop out of Iron Bear and use the mounted gun on top to do more damage while being safe.

The Irish as a culture just have a sense of humor in the way they talk, almost sarcastic and dry at times, I love it.
I chose Zane for his ability to have 2 skills and the fact that the digiclone can literally explode in a crying blast every time you switch places with it. Also something that wasn't mentioned in this vid: if Zane goes down with his digiclone active, there's an ability that allows Zane to sacrifice the clone for an instant revive plus refilled shields and health. Perfect for when you're in the hard boss battle and don't want to start over cause you died. Zane seems to be generally Cryo element oriented as many of his abilities involve the element. Combining Zane's digiclone with his SENTINEL drone makes him greatly overpowered :)

I'd go for Zane if playing alone. His skills are similar to Roland and Axton, which were my solo picks in previous games. Fl4k did bring me a smile so I'd go with them for playing with friends.

I use Zane as my main, because of the clone/drone mix, with the skill to allow his clone to toss a grenade and leave another when it ends, and the skill that allows his drone to deliver a grenade to the marked target. Add that to a legendary area of effect grenade like Storm Front or Widowmaker, and fun times. Also, the most recent hotfix makes it so Duct Tape Mod skill makes him immune to his own grenade damage. And his personality is hilarious. I would suggest adding HM Murdock from the A-Team to your list of how to describe his personality. "You couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo!" is an epic taunt. Also, "You didn't hear the horn?! (stage whisper: "I didn't press it!")" after running over an enemy.
That being said, FL4K is my alternate, being a close tie with Zane. There actually is a very good reason to invest points in skill trees outside of your chosen pet, as many skills apply to all pets, not just the one in its respective skill tree header. The ability to switch out active skills and pets allows one to set up multiple build setups to adapt to various situations. Additional note: FL4K's eco log aboard Sanctuary III mentions "the 7 scrolls on the Talos Empire", suggesting a link to the Elder Scrolls universe as their origin was simply as an indexing unit for an archivist or some sort. As with Zane, FL4K has some great dialogue, too. Both at times when he's being logical, and when showing more personality. "[FL4K]: We were out of milk, so I made due with a splash of greeble snot. Also, I have gained self awareness and thirst for murder. [Grand Archivist]: Good heavens! [FL4K]: Do not worry, Grand Archivist. Greeble snot is quite mild. You will hardly notice the difference..."

Sylvia - Siren: Sylvia can use Phaseshield, making her skin hard as titanium and protecting her from all damage for an amount of time. She has long, white hair and silver tattoos. She was born into a rich family that was killed by bandits, so she was raised by bandits on Pandora and lived a bandit life before changing her ways, so she is the new badass bounty hunter chaotic-neutral character like Zane or Axton. Her eyes are blue and her skin is pale. She became a vault hunter because of her need for some different thrills other than just murder and thievery.
Kell - Assassin: her background is mostly unknown, but we do know she was born and raised on Promethea, dealing with the aftermath of the Maliwan-Atlas war. She learned a fight for yourself lifestyle like everyone else. Her main ability is becoming invisible and ever weapon-including grenades- become completely quiet, including all movments. She moves faster than most of the vault hunters, and always carries two swords on her back. She has black hair, green eyes and a baby face, and a tactical vest that holds two knives on each hip, and pistol holsters near her knees. She dresses in all black and wears a cloak, so it’s a wonder that she can do the things she does in the hot pandora heat. She became a vault hunter to make her (dead) parents proud, and prove that she was not a failure.
Ferros - Tank: this Russian man was born on Eden-6 and grew up alone in Pandora, having to be strong and intimidating to survive alone. By the time he hit 18 he could take ten bullets with no more then a bit of a limp. His muscles were huge, and the thick metal armor he wears does him a favor. His special ability is whipping out a huge battling gun with 5,000 bullets and no cooldown, and serves as the comedic effect of the game. He became a vault hunter due to his love for riches and killing.
Charles - Mr Moneybags: ( they always have one with a comedic name, like Brick as Himeself, Zer0 as a number, and Zane as Himselves ) Charles was born and raised on Athenas in a rich British family, having no worries about anything. He was taught how to shoot in private lessons and learned how to persuade anyone, no matter how crazy. His main ability is making enemies fight for him for 1 minute before killing themselves afterwards. His motivation for becoming a vault hunter is because of his insane list for anything of super value.

The main story is about the Great War the watcher talked about before and the seventh siren, Asaria (Omega) Reaper, Handsome Jack’s long lost daughter of a prostitute, who used large amounts of Eridian and her special lightning powers of unknown origin to revive the Eridians and use them to fight and finally open the great vault and being chaos to the planets, believing that they needed to start anew and the universe was plagued with sin, similar to Jack himself. The four vault hunters have to stop her, and fast. Shoot first, think never.

Amara has a skill where if her health reaches 0 she will be revived instantly with full health.
@@inoc6661 Yeah. Zane has a skill that lets you sacrifice your Digi Clone to get yourself back up. And Moze has a skill that instantly refreshes almost half of her shield when it gets depleted. Every character has something that can act as a "get out of jail free card" for fight for your life. Moze's basically just makes it harder for her to get downed in the first place.
@@Croach193 No because her skill only works every replenishment of shields, meaning that she cannot instantly recharge twice her shields without having it reach 100%, so in bossfights and such, where you constantly take damage, the cases where you'll have the chance to recharge your shields fully are slim. Meanwhile, Zane's clone is very useful indeed, but I'd have to disagree that Amara isn't the most tanky one. You can build her to where, when you take damage you build stacks, each stack gives you a % of movement speed making you avoid shots easily, she has a skill where after you use your action skill, you get a 40% damage reduction for 15 secs. She also has in her melee build, about 400% more melee damage(this applies to every melee) and her capstone gives her the ability to dash to enemies and melee them, closing gaps fast and you also receive another melee dmg buff, if you kill them, this skill refreshes and you can spam it the whole fight. She has a skill that gives you full health after each melee kill. She also has a skill where you gain 30% of health based on your action skill's damage and usage. Do you still think moze is the tank?

I was about to drop venom on your analysis and breakdown of the chars when you finished with my favorite char and specs. Zane with the SNTNL and Digi-Clone. With skills to drop grenades and not acquiring the Burning Scollville and Transforner shield until they were both damn near 600 coupled with DC equipped as Zane, he's a slaughter machine. I can say quite honestly I've killed myself with the damn BS more than the game has but what glorious, destructive fun.
I've never even tried the barrier because that combination is too crazy OP. I would completely compare it to Gaige with a maxed out Deathtrap.
Coincidentally, the GL&T DLC where you get to run with DT in that particular Zane build...

my only favorite class out of the entire borderlands series is the psycho from borderlands 2, it's like the combination of Barbarian, Doom marine and Kratos, i love close quarter combat + rage mode play style, it's sad that gear box haven't include any class with similar play style for borderlands 3 yet, the closest might be Amara but not good enough xD
I love how Sniper Rifles feel in the Borderlands series, and Fl4ks Stalker tree is frankly a Snipers wet dream.

I’ve always played as a siren in Borderlands, so I picked Amara. I’m going to branch out into Zane. His character would be perfect for co-op.

Honestly? I chose Amara cause Everytime a borderlands game came out I played as the Siren first. There was always something interesting about the past of Sirens, and Amara is no different.

I tend to play through the series with each character. However, When I saw the opening of the game, I saw mech suit and went with moze first. It's like playing golden age armored core with a heavy biped build. The trick to her on solo is pop mech when shield breaks. use hellfire rockets and minigun. Then I went Fl4k. Then Zane and finally Amara. On zane I found that the barrier upgraded to spherical with sentinel was typically the best choice for his skills, switching sentinel out for the clone under certain circumstances worked best.

Funny because so is Fl4k with his green skill tree. Invis with guaranteed crits, etc.
True but zane can have 2 skills and that can be helpful in some way i just dont like that it take his bombs

Same here. Amara seems like a blast man. I love the fact that she has such low cooldown times.
She honestly seems the least interesting to me, but I absolutely LOVE melee playstyles. So I'm going with her as well!
Probably the same for me. Would love to just go around and use melee, if that fails, could always just go balls to the wall insane with elemental effects and stuff.

My favorite is FL4K because of how he is able to turn invisible when the goings get tough and if needed can also kill enemy's if in the way and now that I know that his pet can now rez, he sounds even more badass.

I liked moze in the solo play as I treated the iron bear as my get out option. eventually some perks will allow her to gain buff when she exits the mech. also there is a class mod that allows you to treat iron bear more like a turret, last longer when you exit at the cost of a longer cooldown.
Knowing I can switch siren modes makes me love the siren even more... Sold

Nelly Same! Zane being a running and gunning bounty hunter that has the same level of training as Zer0 seems way more appealing than the Brawler focused Siren this time around.

I picked Zane because his play style reminded me of Timothy (Jack Body Double) from the pre-sequel and he has been quite fun to play! His play style is great and he is a very entertaining character.
