I towed a 20k lb crawler through 4 states with an 06 LBZ and I couldn't imagine using anything else. Great pickup and more reliable than the new ones.
Still own a 06 LBZ now with 370k on it. Truck has towed, daily and generally beat to death and still runs. Interior is shot , paint is scratched everywhere but it still runs and is used as a shop truck. The LBZ days are over with these new diesels that are good for maybe 150k before ERG emissions and DEF fluid problems take them down.
More horsepower and more torque than the first semi I bought back in 1982.
To bad I won’t last longer that after treatment system is horrible 😅
2022 duramax 3500 crew I’ve hauled 29 round bales of hay that average 1000-1100 lbs a piece and I live in the high mountains of Wv. A lot different than towing on fiat land. And I must say, it never even struggled. I actuallly had to let out of it on the longest steepest grade on the trip. These trucks are beasts.
year 2050 these will be $250k
I agree on this one.
I don’t care if they are. I’d hate if any regular person could enjoy the finer things in life that wouldn’t be fair
@@JoshuaOverman Yes, let's shit on anyone that doesn't have money. What an outlook you have. Hope you never come on hard times 🙄
More like 40k
@@countcuda70 If anyone can have something or someone, it is not worthy. All the things that are worthy as highly disputed, and all the things that are highly disputed are achieved by few. That is not a matter of outlook on life, it’s life itself.
Only the best lions get picked by the lioness pack. Only the tallest giraffes survived as the smallest ones couldn’t reach leaves on the threes. Only the brightest and most symmetrical peacocks pass their genes on. Only the most aggressive bird mothers nest on top the highest trees. Only the most well off people can afford the nicest things in life and only the brightest, or tricksters, or super disciplined can become well off. Everything is not for everyone, that’s nature.
I looked at one last week. Sticker price was $118k Canadian plus tax and fees. I will be keeping my 2019 duramax for a very long time.
102k for a vehicle period is too much hell 60k for a vehicle is too much idc what anyone says. Ppl need to stop buying them so prices go back down. Yes it’s nice but 102k nice. Nope I’ll take my 24k less than 100k mile truck anyday… I’d rather pull motors and keep swapping then spend the outrageous prices for these newer vehicles all day long.. they marking up same features as the older vehicles like it’s something new lmao crazyyyyy
I have an Ultimate dually on order. I do not care what it costs. I want what I want.
Must be nice.
I have it and it sucks! It is beautiful but that's it! The mph sucks!! And the truck is way under power the breaking is just awful
I bought the 2023 3500 dully gmc denali I finally put 2000 miles on it made my first trip pulling my 49 foot toy haller what a difference from my 2006 2500 and coming off the mountain in the bighorns with the exhaust break made a huge difference I can come off a lot faster it holds a lot better and the power pulling up the Mt just amazing, with a few issues in the beginning but got them fixed the molding on the rear fender is coming lose but hopefully I'll get it fixed this week maybe next but all in all great truck
Great info thanks for sharing
My brand new Chevrolet dually High Country was $93,763 with every option minus the extra alternator and battery and I love it!!!! Can’t wait to see its true potential soon!!!
You guys had a blast! Too much fun
So, a few years ago, I ran the numbers on owning my 2004 LB7 vs owning a brand new L5P of comparable options. I'll never spend as much on my LB7 as on a new L5P, even making all the upgrades and mods that I want to on the LB7.
Now. Those numbers aren't applicable to everyone. I do almost all my own wrenching, so I didn't factor any shop rates.
Question where would u suggest getting parts for the full emissions delete kit and ECM reprogram tune for 2018 GMC Denali diesel
getting a new 2024 for next year. Keeping my 17 and 03.
I’ll be keeping my LBZ & my 2020 2500 Denali
The 6.6 gasser i thinks comes with a case of oil it's an oil burner
I don’t know 🤔
I used to be a financial analyst. Consumers look at “stickers” …..and investors look at “return”.
If I bought a truck for $110,000, I would expect to get at least 50% return on my investment every year to be worth it. So, if I bought the truck and financed the whole deal and bought a 5 year warranty, bumper to bumper, and my gig was hauling averaging $1500 a week. That would be a big “yes”. By the time the loan is up, you’ve made over $300,000 gross plus residual. Net return is double digit positives.
If I’m hauling my toys around town, taking the girlfriend out to McDonald’s (don’t want to spoil her) , and going back-and-forth to work….. net return is double digit negatives. that would be a big “No”. The consumer would either have to work harder and longer or cut expenses somewhere else.
Or
If you have $100,000 laying around burning a hole in your pocket …. That’s your preference 🤷♂️.
I just haul my toys around so over investing in a truck would be a silly. I’ll fix up the older stuff. When the truck gets to be about 10 years old, the options in the aftermarket widen considerably…. upgrades like turbos, mirrors, Nerf bars, back up cameras, etc. etc..
My brother just bought a brand new RAM 3500….. he loves the truck …but really really hates the payments…lol
Excellent advice my friend
These are incredible trucks no doubt but I’ll happily take my 2018 L5P weight reduction model all day errr day lol. Fabulous upload as usual brother thanks for sharing. God Bless America and the 2A 🇺🇸
Heaviest I have towed so far was 9k travel trailer bumper pull.
They are putting the Allison in the gasser you say!?
Man I’m looking at the 3.0 diesel gmc at4 beautiful truck found a good one that’s lifted for about 67-68k I would love that!
Wow. That's alot of dough bro!. My mint lb7 with 550hp a built Trans. 950 Rwt. Is just fine. Lol
I have an LLY with a tune and bunch of other mods, but our old trucks won't hold a candle to these new ones towing heavy.
@@2015_Rubicnnalthough these new ones have high ratings I already heard of people having transmission problems and regen issues had a buddy take back a 2022 6.6 diesel and ended up getting the 6.6 gasser due to lots of issues with the exhaust system….
@dieseldawg7132 Besides that, and yes, I know it's a big deal because of the emissions, but the new trucks are leaps and bounds ahead with technology and components used to handle the weight. I'm also referring to old Duramax vs new, not gas vs diesel.
@@2015_Rubicnn no I agree with you on that just that it’s not dependable at all I work on diesels and man someone of them are like a lemon
Hello Josh and J.W. Montoya. Wow the 2024 GMC Denali 3500 HD is a great looking truck. The cost is outrageous. $102,000. Will you test drive the New Ultimate GMC Denali 3500?
Yes hopefully I will test drive one soon
I love my 23 but sheeeeeesh the 24s are beauts 😍
Dealers are finally feeling the pinch for overpriced vehicles. Going to take awhile before things get more reasonable. ( maybe). 102k for pickup is stupid. They are not Worth that kind of money. None of them are.
23K with 05 C4500, up and down mountain pass in Washington; handled like nothing was back there.
Bro I miss you already!
😢
I just bought a 2024 GMC 3500 Denali diesel dually. Can’t get the employee discount on the ultimate. Need a dually to carry my 5000 lb truck camper. I had a 2008 3500 dually got written off in an accident.
With my 2011 LML I pulled 91,000 lbs, I was trying to pull start my buddy.
Wow 😯
What were u pulling a house😂
Nice and I said no to those prices. Traded my LML for a crotch rocket Camaro.
2019 2500 Silverado ltz hauled a 650k John Deere dozer weight 21k Pound Plus 8k pound trailer
I have the same truck except it's a 2500 Ultimate and it's worth every damn penny. The interior alone is incredible and is my favorite part !
I wonder what they were doing with the 69 H/O on the dyno
It's differently not the most expensive dually on the market. But it is sweet azz truck.
I've towed roughly 17500 lbs on my LBZ 2500
Ten dollars a pound will buy that
Well that's in USA in canada Alberta I just bought a 2024 Denali 3500 it only cost 110 thousand if ultimate add 20 thousand dollars
Missed opportunity with the tire off to show the suspension and steering ugrades
I've hauled 27k with my 2015 2500 duramax
Junk turbo will be the first thing to blow
I love my 07 lbz, 135k 🙂🙂🙂
The new Ford HO Powerstrokes are 500hp and 1200lbs/ft of torque.
And? The 1200 ft lbs is made until 6th gear. Duramax has less horsepower and torque but it's better utilized. It's power you can actually use. TFL did the toughest towing test. Duramax was faster to 60. Powerstroke was faster in total by only 13 seconds. Duramax was to 60 by about 15 seconds. In normal everyday use. They are very close in performance. Merging on to the interstate loaded is faster with the Duramax. Ford's numbers are BS. It has the 1200 torque number it claims but cannot be used where a diesel needs it most. Low in the rpm. It's more of a gimmick number to me
@countcuda70 OH geez, stop....I threw out a number that Ford stated for their new Powerstokes. I never said they were better or faster or anything else, so quit sounding like a butt hurt fan boy. I happen to own a Duramax truck, but I appreciate all the what the big 3 have to offer. All of what you explained is just your opinion anyway. I highly doubt you've seen any data about how the torque is applied at any RPM for diesels, so don't try to sound like some expert.
@@2015_Rubicnn We don't know one another. You may not know or have seen the dyno data but I have. What I stated above can be seen on TFL also. They tested the both new trucks. I simply stated why I don't like what they do with the Powerstroke. 6th gear is when you get the full 1200 ft lbs. I don't really care what kind of truck you drive. May not be the truck of choice. Could be the truck of convenience or cost. Again, I don't know you
@countcuda70 Cool story bro...Don't tell me another. Thanks for pointing out we don't know each other Captain Obvious. Where do you max torque is only avaible in 6th gear? Sounds like some BS to me.
@@2015_Rubicnn I was trying to give you information. Since you want to be a D!ck. Go find the information yourself. You said not to tell you another story. 🤡
U’d think they would paint match fender flairs for that much coin….
Oh they do, but that costs extra. Not standard for those rock bottom prices😵💫
24klbs behind my 2021 dually.
I'll stick with my lly. I will never pay that much for a truck. Plus monthly fees for all the extra wireless options that's ridiculous.
Ok be miserable the. Old timer
@@JoshuaOverman I'm not miserable. I'm not into biden emission equipment
@@JoshuaOverman Never said they were miserable. Said they will never pay that much for a truck. Maybe they like their LLY. It's not always a matter of being able to afford something. Most people can think of many better ways to spend 100K
Why would anybody pay that kind of money for a pick up? There's a saying a fool and it's money are soon departed
There's also a saying... there's a seat for every ass
When I got my 22 Sierra 3500 gas of course, I wanted a AT4 really bad but then they were like 65k or so. An I got my Pro work model for 46k. Roughly 20k cheaper an i got a truck that will do the same job. All that added stuff isn’t worth 20k to me I guess.
It’s just money there’s plenty to go around might as well enjoy buying fun stuff.
I’ll stick with my LLY. Only has 150k on it and is payed off. They payment per month on these trucks is more than my house payment and it’s ridiculous in my eyes
Just pay cash instead
21k behind the truck
07 classic 3/4t
"I'm soo eating off the floor bro"
Nice!❤
A grille almost as big as a GMC Astro 😂
how you take that to dirty old logging road and then you have logging trucks coming our and spraying that Denali ultimate all over.... feeling would be terrible
I don’t understand how most Americans afford these trucks. But they are everywhere. I’m doing something wrong. I guess I need to become a Instagram model.
With all the horrible service General Motors has been given me with my 2012 issues, I will never buy another General Motors truck. My TCM went out and they were horrible about helping. My truck sat for over six months and now I'm hearing the fuel pump is catastrophically failing and there are lawsuits from different states going on now. Edit, sorry, GM didn't tell me about cp4 failure.
Them telling you is a good thing, I would think anyways. CP4 is a catastrophic failure. Would cost over $10,000 to have it fixed otherwise
Assuming a $10k downpayment, and an 8% interest rate, for five years you'd be paying $1865 PER MONTH! In-friggin-SANE!!
That's half what we paid for our house ain't no way! There's no reason for a vehicle to cost that much😊
100k id rather have the regular denali or a high country
These pick up trucks are priced out of the blue-collar worker in 2011 I bought a new diesel Chevy extended cab with a plow for $55,000 brand new and that was expensive today. Forget it people can’t even afford to buy these.
Yea my wife’s 2024 2500 definitely wasn’t cheap
6.6l Duramax L5P 2024 is the wallet killa 😢
When we saw the truck without the wheel, it was because it was already being deleted. 😅😂
That’s just outrageous for a truck every one knows will break before it’s first oil change because of the emissions crap on it
So, instead of a supercar, it's a supertruck? 102K is WAAAY more than I can comfortably afford for a vehicle. And I really need a 3/4 or 1 ton truck right now. I mentioned in one of your videos a few months back that my '11 3500 LTZ Duramax had 535K miles and was running strong. Well, I shouldn't have said anything as it chewed up a piston shortly after that. I can't even afford to fix the engine in it, let alone replace it with a junkyard engine. Not knocking you, but the prices of vehicles anymore is ridiculous.
I have no problem with the new truck prices I don’t think it would be fair if any person working a regular grocery store job or something could buy one. I like that you have to successful to own nice things
@@JoshuaOverman Good for you. Not spending 100K for a truck. You spend that much on a truck. It's not getting used like a truck. The average consumer doesn't need a 100k truck
more than I paid for my house :)
What the hell happened to trucks that you can make a living out of/with? Work trucks at a reasonable price that stand up to abuse!
GREAT TRUCK BEAUTIFUL TRUCK... and you will be paying payments for the next 20 years... and doubt it will ever see mud or snow ... automatically it comes to full stop when the pavement ends... yeah beautiful truck for 102 k... before additional modifications... lift... tires and wheels..........
Clean shops rule. If you're ever able to visit and go inside a NASCAR shop. You will find it is kept just as clean. Tools and boxes look like show room displays. However they do use them. Make you want to go home. Empty the shop and do some big time cleaning. Add a building for storage space all organized and clean 👌... it's capable. Truckmaster Studio... editing room... merch room ... parts ... podcast ... SHOP.... 😎👍
Btw ... what the bed capacity for a load ? Will it haul a slide in camper ? Family of four.. dog .. all the luggage and food [loaded] in the camper ? So you can tow the boat behind it...
Payments? Just pay cash
Tires Look Small for front End!!
I wouldn’t give $50k for these new trucks
Ok 😂 enjoy being miserable all the successful people will enjoy getting a massage on their fancy leather seats in their 100k truck
That's why you don't have one🧁😂
@@dakotaautosales9673 don’t like them, why would I buy one?
@@p.b.sHUNTING You don't have the money it's more like it
Dealers are buried with truck inventory and ha e models even from 2023 at no discount. They can rot on dealer lots for all I care. The prices are extortion.
People fail to understand inflation. 100k today isn’t the same as 100k in 2008 or even 2018. All that pandemic money etc drove inflation into double digits for 2 years. That means about 21% increase total if it’s just 10% inflation. Think about that.
I hate how new trucks like 1500s, have turbos. So the engine isn't a v8 anymore. Then rhe turbos kick in when they need to which is so stupid
$102,000 for a GMC truck 😂😂😂😂😂 yea make that make sense!
Mad that fast food wage won’t get you one awww sorry it’s not easy 😢 takes a little effort.
It's too expensive plain and simple. And even the stripped down ones are too expensive. These vehicles have gotten more expensive that some houses that were available just 10years ago.
Find me a decent house for only 100k you gonna only find a dump.
My Wifes attitude
Blown engine?
NO……….
I own a 2019 3500hd dually Denali, and at 102k it's junk with all the electronics in it.
These trucks are nice but why does Ford and Dodge still Dominate the truck market when it comes to Diesel Power
They don’t
@@JoshuaOverman I’m a Chevy guy and yes ford and Dodge are the big dogs
@@sherryjohnson1206Ford outsells Ram. Ford only sells trucks under the Ford branding. GM has 2 trucks under their brand. GM sells more total trucks then Ford and Ram. Have for a few years now.
@@countcuda70 that was true at one time when Gm got the bailout they went to the other brands plus the Chevys got so Ugly people wouldn’t buy them that’s a Fact not Fiction
@@sherryjohnson1206The fact is. GM with the Sierra and Silverado out sell Ford and Ram. Might want to look it up. GM has out sold both Ford and Ram for years now.
Been a gm guy all my life. Owned 7 or 8. They have priced themselves out of my life.
I’m glad you think so negative of yourself you’ll definitely never afford one with that attitude. 100k is not a big deal.
Their nice trucks but their not worth the price. All the bling bling don’t matter much to be honest.
Not a fan of chrome around the windows. Need to delete that
All the people on here commenting nothing is better then their 02 truck . You can’t afford this new truck it’s ok move along
This truck should just cost 30k k
Hell no then any broke loser could afford one. Only smart people should get to enjoy the finer things in life.
60k worth of truck ...period ...
Can I just buy the engine an transmission to throw in one of my squarebodies? I don't care about all the gadgets
Not $102,000 nice….. ridiculous!
You get turned on from numbers on a screen? Or paper? That’s weird. I’d rather enjoy a psychical object like the truck.
102k 😂
I don’t care, it’s just too expensive
Gonna be fun when the economy tanks like it’s about to. These 6 figure trucks will be back to 60-70k (still too expensive). At 7% interest you’ll pay $130k all said and done and your payment will be $2020 a month. 😂😂😂 I’d literally rather walk. All just to feel “cool” driving down the road. Keep your eyes peeled for bank repo sales in a few months because all these trucks will be there getting auctioned off.
NOPE, SOOOOOOOOOOO
No way in he'll even if I had the cash would I spend that much on a truck... new trucks are too girly,,, heated seats,,, back up cameras, lane sensors ,,
Heated seats is girly 😂 my 2003 had heated seats
Go cummins sorry chevy fans truth
2028 will be 150k
Hope they have to eat their trucks, jus saying.
Lol.
What a$$$ Joke
Over priced, too much tech - epic fail.
not worthy over price
These Joe Biden prices are nuts
My truck cost more and I’m a nobody. Bye
Nice truck in fact awesome but not worth 102 thousand dollars
I can see spending that type of money if they had bumper to bumper warranty for 10 years unlimited mileage so I won't buy a new truck I used to buy a new truck every 3 years until they got ridiculous on the prices definitely better off buying used
It’s sad that price then u got to add 18,000 dollars to make it worth a crap or a diesel when I see that cover on turbo all I see is the ol Doc chocking that turbo I say it because I have a 2020 fully built not a stock pipe on it and everything u could possibly imagine on one I was the first with and that’s a fact had it costume built paid for and I did my build now she’s the baddest truck in town and it’s a dully
Has they gone WOKE? What are they doing, $99,000 dollars 🤩 and at $15 dollars a hour. Good god. A 🥳dishwasher can own one in a hop skip and a jump.
