you don't need to have it in your cast shortcut. Unstable current ultimate randomly cast from all shock skills. So spending points on those will boost their damage output when unstable current cast it. The whole point of this build is to essentially max out cooldown reduction so you can cast unstable current all the time, becoming your main skill rather than just something you pop once every 60 seconds.
@@glennausloos701 yes but you will need blizzard ice spike aspects, rest is too easy, just cast 2 blizzards and watch everything getting frozen to death.

To all sorcerers out there - no matter how good your damage output is, or how fast you finished the capstone III, I’d advise you to wait till around 65-68 to do the last capstone - for a sorceress as glass „cannon“ as she is, she not only won’t survive all the traps Elias puts out, but also the mobs there can’t be compared to their counterparts in tiers below, as their resistances and life are higher, if that’s not enough, we all learned shortly before season 1, the resistances are broken and won’t be fixed before season 2, if not even later. Additionally, the moment you tap into the IV capstone, your resistances are tapped too (I can’t remember the exact number though, it’s around 30% at least). As my last advice, if you haven’t already, for the end boss fight, temporarily switch and max out fire and ice shields and any other barriers you might get. In my experience , the last capstone is more about movement and survivability, rather than damage. This way you can more or less avoid any „one-hits“. I hope my comment may help some of you, especially those less experienced in the game (as I was the first two times I started sorceress and was disappointed how her damage busts the moment you step in Tier IV).
I just want to THANK YOU for saving my sorc. Sorcerer in this game is just god-awful when it comes to survivability. That was a rude awakening for me 80+ levels later. I was going to delete my sorc and just sulk and wait till 1st season, but this SAVED ME! I still die but not as much as before. And to think that my glyph levels after I switched to this build aren't even that high. Imagine that. Thank you thank you for sharing this build!

Unstable currents shoots off random shock spells. Arc lash builds are all about CDR and having Unstable currents up as much as possible. So when you use it, lighting spears and ball lightning will shoot off like crazy.
Just built it. Enjoying it. The wall ball bug is annoying but you can work around it. Is there also a bug with single target? When I’m down to one elite or boss, BL doesn’t seem to hit them. Also testing charged bolt enchant and really liking it. Great burst with Raiment and the damage reduction talent is huge. Thx for the vid
Hey i have a question i have an amulet with aspekt that can create a shocknova for any picked up crackling energie with 20% chance ande 1900 dmg per nova. Is that good ?
People sleep on the teleport enchant; it really is that good. One question, why use your mana for ball lightning at all? If you focus on cooldown and pop on the aspect that makes CE chain, you can basically keep unstable currents up as long as you have an elite or two around. Combine that with attack speed and you'll have as many or more ball lightning constantly orbiting you than you have now. This lets you skip anything mana related in favor of damage or defense, and it lets you use the %damage depending on mana aspect, which you can use instead of that unstoppable one. Otherwise, this is basically the build I use.
Dude, awesome info. But quick question, are the passives something you customized via the Occultist or Alchemist, or did the Sacred Legendary and higher come with those passives? Same for the imprinted?
I have a freaking high lucky hit chance. Like 55-60%. Is that useless for this build? I also have the unique boots for movement speed and critical chance. Should I still use that instead of the extra charges for evade boots?
Is the only way of getting the specific gear you have is it by just pure randomness of doing nm dungeons? Ima noob trying to learn lol. I copied all his skills but then we got to gear I don’t have any of it
So Uber new to the game. Struggling with chain lightning as mana is issue. Ball lightning untenable because I lack the item to make them orbit. Think this build is more viable to spec into at level 50 over ice shards? I need something to start my nightmare dungeon farming. Perhaps this build is less mana hungry?
Arc lash builds are very good for 50+. They use almost no mana and are quite tanky. This build adds some interesting extras with the ball lightning synergy and utilizing the lightning spreads for stun. I've used the ball lightning focused build before, which is fun for large groups, but useless for single target. This build only uses ball lightning as a supplement and arc lash as the primary. It certainly has potential to be really strong.
This would be my 2nd choice, Ice Shards my 3rd. My 1st would be a build using Spark, instead of Arc Lash. I like doing ranged Shock Crit Damage... But, until they properly buff Spark, i guess Ball Lightning and Arc Lash would be my future go-to.
I switch chain lightning and spark for ball and arc and this works for me for range as well. Maybe not as strong, but seems to work at level 75 for me.
Ok so what I don't understand is there is a requirement for the glyph socket for charged it is +40 intelligence and he has +50 but when I count the boxes available on that board it only has +35 intelligence how do I get to the minimum required of +40? Help please!

You should have damage reduction, to Close and Distant on your Pants and Disobidience Apsect. Time your Defensive Skills correctly. Every other bit of Damage Reduction comes at the cost of other Stats. I do not recommend this Build for Nightmare Push without a way to heal. Ice Shards can be played safer.
@@berunto8186 oddly once I start pushing 20 tiers over my level I don't notice Disobidience Apsect aspect dr anymore, but having all the dr I can on chest, pants, boots, and amulet I can mixed with topaz makes me able to take hits from these monsters way better. Does DR not lower while monsters are higher level while armor does ?
@@JMD501 ah okay that makes a lot of sense LoL. I am trying to stick completely to lighting as much as possible since I'm running lightining sorc build.
Arc lash is what you should be spamming when unstable currents is up. Throw in a couple extra ball lightning, but arc lash is what's makes unstable currents so strong.
@@andy6302 yeah, unstable currents gives you additional attack speed. Even if you run a full ball lightning build, your dps with unstable currents active is much lower than when using arc lash. Additionally no mana cost makes it so you don't have to stop spamming it. Additionally, you will attack so fast that it will generate quite a few ball lightning while spamming arc lash. The ball lightning aspect will make it so they don't just shoot off into nowhere while you have it active.
Arc lash is the one you spam, ball lightning will spawn when you have unstable currents up. Honestly you could probably drop it off the hotbar or just use it to burn your mana then hit with arc lash
i hope they will increase mob density soon. really kills theee mood for some builds when there are 3 eneemies on screen....needs to be medium to big packs constantly on high levels
I guess the problem im having is there are only 6 action slots for spells but when you consider all the abilities in the build there are more, and it seems some get left out.
You are not meant to use chain lightning and lightning spear. The skill points are to add crackling energy and stuns to all the procs during your ultimate.
I ran this build with Arc Lash and Charged Bolt. Have gotten the staff to drop 4 times (last one is a monster Ancestral). I use the chain freeze and fireball explosions. I can literally kill mobs 2 or 3 screens away when it procs. There are 2 problems I've not been able to overcome, a) getting it to proc consistently and b) you are very squishy. Since you have to be in a mobs face to start the chain, if you get hammered before you can get your spell chain off you die. If it your chain doesn't proc when you get the first freeze, you die. It worked very well up through WT3. But in 4 I just can't get it stable. I'm sure someone can figure it out and I may try again since I'm not playing my Sorc too much.
I have been playing with Ball lightning for a while and love it. Going to respec down these lines and see if I can enjoy one less defensive layer for more dps (Ice barrier).
Your guide has a flaw, or I am missing something.. the first board you are using flamefeeder at level 15. there is no way to get the 25 dex bonus in that location...
This is what I always told peeps in Ice Shard sorc YT, Lightning Ball build is better since day 1. The only thing that make Ice Shard feels better is that Ice Shard sorcerer is easier and faster to build. 2 big suggestion: 1. Aspect of Ancient Flame There is an alternative with Esu Ferocity aspect "Aspect of Ancient Flame", the 75% Attack Speed do Amazing with Lightning Ball. You can proc it with Critical Strike Kills, even though you are not gaining any of the the damage bonus from the Esu Ferocity, the attack speed bonus fromt he aspect being multiplied by 2x with Lightning Ball is worth it. You will need CDR options with this alternative, the cooldown will suffer, but even without Unstable current, the 150% ASPD on Lightning Ball melts. Forgoing fire bolt enchantment, and go Chain Lighting enchantment and get "Accelerating ASpect" (Critical Strikes with Core Skills increase your Attack Speed by [15-25]% for 5 seconds. ) is also a good option. Your chain Lighting (Core Skill) will proc with Unstable Current, so you don't need to cast or slot it. YOU MAY REMOVE ARC LASH IN THIS. Boots need "Attacks reduce evade cooldown" your skill slot would be Teleport, Flame Shield, Frost Nova, Ice Armor, Unstable Current, Lightning Ball. 2. "Stable Aspect" (+ Optional "Prodigy Aspect") Stable Aspect allows you to proc skills from Unstable Current even when it is not turned on. Prodigy Aspect allows you to gain mana when using Cooldown (Optional). The thing that most people do not know is that, those skills procced by Unstable current is CONSIDERED AS COOLDOWN, regardless of the type of the skills. This is because they are casted via Unstable current which is a cooldown skill. Meaning you can gain a permanent barrier even without turning on "Unstable Current" state, or Icefall Paragon (killing frozen enemies). As long as you proc Stable Aspect fast enough. Boots need "Attacks reduce evade cooldown" your skill slot would be Teleport, Flame Shield, Frost Nova, Unstable Current, Arc Lash, Lightning Ball.
Not even close, Ice shard can push to NMD100 with way higher dmg numbers. OP has a good clear speed build to farm mid tier NMDs, but that's also where the build caps out.

Is it possible to modify this for walled in dungeons? Maybe use chain and spears for those ?
So that is the build I am running, it is a conjurer chain build that runs no defensive skills. I am lvl 90 and it is still effective.
@@JMD501 it sounds interesting to me, I considered not running defensive skills, but I still use Frost Nova for vulnerability
@@manuelhernandez2017 so I use nova as one of my enchantments ice blade has 100 lucky hit and hydra has 78, so they pop novas all the time.
@@JMD501 ah okay that makes a lot of sense LoL. I am trying to stick completely to lighting as much as possible since I'm running lightining sorc build.
My only question is why arclash and could you sub anything for it?
Arc lash is what you should be spamming when unstable currents is up. Throw in a couple extra ball lightning, but arc lash is what's makes unstable currents so strong.
@@SpartanORGN I'm not trying to be difficult but why? Simply because it's the fastest casted ability?
@@andy6302 yeah, unstable currents gives you additional attack speed. Even if you run a full ball lightning build, your dps with unstable currents active is much lower than when using arc lash. Additionally no mana cost makes it so you don't have to stop spamming it. Additionally, you will attack so fast that it will generate quite a few ball lightning while spamming arc lash. The ball lightning aspect will make it so they don't just shoot off into nowhere while you have it active.
Thanks for the vid bro, I have been trying to explore a build for arc lash, and this is definitely better than what I did!
How did it compare? I currently have the arc lash build.
Got that amulet from a vendor? Which one?
All the vendors across the map sell the same thing, as long as they are the same type so all weapon smiths will sell the same weapon.
This is basically my build, so much fun!
lvl 66 here. I built your build, cast two ball lightnings and: oom.
Arc lash is the one you spam, ball lightning will spawn when you have unstable currents up. Honestly you could probably drop it off the hotbar or just use it to burn your mana then hit with arc lash
my ball lighting doesnt circle around me. It just shoots forward :/
you need to put Gravitational Aspect on your item
i hope they will increase mob density soon. really kills theee mood for some builds when there are 3 eneemies on screen....needs to be medium to big packs constantly on high levels
Honestly bro definitely better than ice shards!
I guess the problem im having is there are only 6 action slots for spells but when you consider all the abilities in the build there are more, and it seems some get left out.
You are not meant to use chain lightning and lightning spear. The skill points are to add crackling energy and stuns to all the procs during your ultimate.
if at least teleport could be extra slot but man is it weird to have two shields plus teleport taking half of the slots on my ice shard sorc
@@borispsalman that is my biggest complaint with sorcerer
Why has nobody made a charged bolt build with the u nique lam essen staff is it that bad?
This does what that is trying to do but better. Its not bad, but not really good either.
How does ball lighting circle around the player
there's an aspect for that, just go farm some loot and you'll eventually find a lego with that aspect on it. Got a couple of those stashed away.
Good lord. Your boots are freaking unbelievable. Lucky bastard lol
I have been playing with Ball lightning for a while and love it. Going to respec down these lines and see if I can enjoy one less defensive layer for more dps (Ice barrier).
Same situation with my build. Going to be interesting not having two shields...
@@grogg7661 Until I have the +3 evades, it was ok, but the extra teleports proc barriers, so it helps make up for it.
Your guide has a flaw, or I am missing something.. the first board you are using flamefeeder at level 15. there is no way to get the 25 dex bonus in that location...
i have flamefeeder and dex is 39 / 25 atm. you missin something bro.
THIS CHANGED MY LIFE
How do u make the orbs orbit around you?
Aspect
@@missfluffybunz ohh okay thanks
This is what I always told peeps in Ice Shard sorc YT, Lightning Ball build is better since day 1.
The only thing that make Ice Shard feels better is that Ice Shard sorcerer is easier and faster to build.
2 big suggestion:
1. Aspect of Ancient Flame
There is an alternative with Esu Ferocity aspect "Aspect of Ancient Flame", the 75% Attack Speed do Amazing with Lightning Ball.
Boots need "Attacks reduce evade cooldown"
your skill slot would be Teleport, Flame Shield, Frost Nova, Ice Armor, Unstable Current, Lightning Ball.
2. "Stable Aspect" (+ Optional "Prodigy Aspect")
Stable Aspect allows you to proc skills from Unstable Current even when it is not turned on.
Boots need "Attacks reduce evade cooldown"
your skill slot would be Teleport, Flame Shield, Frost Nova, Unstable Current, Arc Lash, Lightning Ball.
Not even close, Ice shard can push to NMD100 with way higher dmg numbers. OP has a good clear speed build to farm mid tier NMDs, but that's also where the build caps out.
@@rekt4guud134 ice shard easier and faster to build ? :D yeah right especially if you dont have generator and before you get the right gear with the right stats your mana goes down fast AF
Sorry bto! You sostitute Fire barrier With ICE barrier?!? Thanks and Sorry for disturb
Just updated mine arc lash badass
i really like this build!!! could you complete the paragon board and share here for us? im lvl 100 so i would like to know what path should take , thank you!
Sorry if this is a dumb question - how does crowd control duration affect boss stagger?
It builds up their stagger meter faster
Why are you glowing blue?
why the hell, no one show this build at lvl 50. how to start when you haven't any item?
I wonder how well you would survive if you amulet had more damage reduction stats. Also may be able to get dr when injured on boots prob help a bit. Overall prob kill slower but be able to push 10 tiers higher then you can now with the more dr.
there is a dr cap.
@@assortedshorts6878 is it a total dr cap or dr cap on armor only ? Because I am only aware of the armor dr cap of 85% and min of 5%, but where they talked about the cap of 85% I heard they said armor only.
That amulet is sick
Excellent video! Thank you!!
