This video just reminded me that I might actually buy a Honda Prelude because of you and the friend group im in which they all have Hondas like Integras, Rsx, and S2000 so ima be the first prelude guy!!
The D series single cam engine can be built to very high horse power as well as long as you use the correct parts.....look up Vitara build and follow D serious he has built the D engine To perform well over 500 horse power I think.
Yoo ..my man marky how's it going brother 🤠.. I've watched all the vids on your yt channel ..and trust me you're doing an amazing job pal... And ik how much efforts such vids requires .. editing , clips , texts , stuff like that . your videos are so informative and entertaining to watch unlike others your commentry style is far better and sadly by far you're the most underrated / unrecognized gem in car community ❤️btw love from Pakistan bro , and it's a small request can you please make a video on “ ranking all bugatti models” it would be amazing...bugattis are my fav, and keep the hardwork on my G 👍 trust me you'll get that deserving fame soon my man.
Rear wheel drive cars do handle better but it doesn't mean you'll automatically lose a race on the track just because you have a Front wheel drive Civic Just adjust your driving technique to fit Front wheel drive. Civic has double wishbone suspension which is great for handling and the 6th gen was the last model to have it.
I run my 2000 Civic hatchback with long Lesjöfors coil springs & no sway bar, while retaining standard 185/65-14 (on 6" wheels). The car oversteers even w/o pulling parking brake. “Double Wishbones all around” means break-away is even/gradual/predictable: (Mine is much slower than this one, but still lots of fun when paired with 320mm Momo steering wheel.) ua-cam.com/video/caTsEzFnfs4/v-deo.html
1997- 2001 Toyota Camry please. I think it's very slept on (like the Subaru legacy) but I still see them everywhere. People are vocal about the 6cyl, but I like the 4 cylinder. It was availble in a manual. Nice cruiser. My brother owns one. Fun to wrench on.
Can confirm on the cup holders. A medium is the largest cup you can have in there. It’s good for your diet tho lol. Source:I learned to how to drive a stick on one of these.
@@ShadowNoCap yeah just take your time. Learn the friction zone for the clutch quickly so you don’t burn it up. Then practice heal toe downshifts and have fun.
Hey Mark, can you please please do a "Good.Bad and the ugly for the 10th Gen Honda Accord. I always wanted one of the those but so far they are out of my price range, but they look sooo good, and I just want to know what's the big deal about this particular generation of Accord. Thanks in advance.
One thing you didn’t say about the ugly is that so many 6th gen trips the fuse for the speedometer and it’s a wire harness issue where it rubs through on the intake that gives a few codes as well
Hey Mark did you ever do a good bad and ugly on the 5th gen Civic Ive been looking for it and I cant find it 🤔 If you dont or dont mind could you make one please and thank you.......of course thats only if you can and feel well enough to do it.... hopefully your health improves abstain from dairy if you're having the runs🚽 and check to see of you're having some food allergy
Are they known for bad transmissions?? I heard the 7th gen was known for bad trans. I know for sure the honda accord 6th and 7th were trash on the transmission, so im hoping civics weren't plagued with lots of the same issues
sedan, coupe and hatch are all ej8 chassis code, only one that’s different is the ek si which is the em1. yes there was AWD eks, in japan they had the Honda Civic Ferio RTI. which was all wheel drive. the auto transmissions that came with eks arent that bad. all of mine where auto and it got up and went the gearing was actually decent. ( i own an auto miata and the gearing is absolutely horrible ) with the miata it shifts into 4th at 40 mph and thats all you get… rpms go from 3k to like 900 when shifts into 4th its actually awful. at 60 mph its at 4500 revving loud as fuck and no more gears. not a good highway car. but ek auto trans are decent they have fairly long gearing ratios and im just saying for a 90s automatic they are actually decent. also about prices they have generally always been the same although people can sell them for whatever, but 1-2k shitbox 2-3k decent daily with ok miles 3-5k that shit should be clean as fuck. 5k for a 90s civic is a lot and i expect a $5000 ek to be mint with 70k miles. (i bought my first ek for $800 with 180k ran amazing no issues) you talk about cup holders, which in eks are pretty ass. the Dx came with pop out ones that where small amd always broken. although the Lx and Ex trims came with stationary cup holders that where in front of the shifter on the center console area under the radio, no matter what its a tight space but they worked good. fun easy junkyard swap to upgrade your Dx trim. yes manual trans cars especially any gen civic will always have more value to car enthusiasts than the auto ones although if you dont care, or want a good daily i would advise buying an automatic. why? because the people who bought an auto car new where regular people. not car enthusiasts. generally “car enthusiasts” will mess up condition wnd quality of the car. while the auto cars will usually be untouched. auto cars are in beter shape. if you actually want a nice “clean” daily driver go buy an auto ek 👍🏻 the integra is actually based on the eg chassis not the ek. interior is actually amazing, im 6ft and ek/integras/egs have great space. i know this because i own a miata, and it’s horrible on leg and height room. i guess thats all i really have to say from this video, also i’ve commented all this because i absolutely love the ek chassis and ive owned so many, im very passionate about them. also statistically the acura integra is the most stolen car. 👍🏻 do what you will with this information.
I have an 00' automatic Civic. You say 6th gen Civics have slush box transmissions... Does that mean they're unreliable or just not fun to drive? I have this just as a daily driver so I'm not worried about it being fun, but it would break my heart to learn they're unreliable :(
Highly Recommended!!! If your in the ghetto and cars are getting stolen! 1. Install a racing detachable steering wheel 2. Get a manual cause over 80% out of 100% of people in the world only know how to drive automatic!
Window regulators, wiring connectors in the doors and under the rear seat. In sedans especially the rear locks and all handles constantly break. Idc what brand you buy. Door panels break in the front seem to be made out of paper...they are complete inferior to 92-95 cars
This was great.... steering wheel club and a kill switch may help with the stolen part also move out of the city and into a rural area country folk don't care for these that much so they'll be safe there.
I know I can't legally drive yet and I've only learnt to drive in fwd but I feel like I prefer it. I just don't like the idea of spinning around, I get dizzy easily and I've never liked roller coasters.
@TDF2004 yeah I just got my car and it's a rwd ( lexus sc 400) fwd is easier to control, I learned how to drive on my mom's jetta. But rwd is also easy to control. Even when I purposely try to slide, it barely does. But it probably depends. I havnt faced a winter with it though
Your a fk wit ! I have an EK1 honda civic in immaculate condition??? Absolutely best car ive ever owned never let me down!!! Keep ur comments to your self !!! Ffk sakes !!!!
This video just reminded me that I might actually buy a Honda Prelude because of you and the friend group im in which they all have Hondas like Integras, Rsx, and S2000 so ima be the first prelude guy!!
Also worth mentioning most marketplace civics are total rust buckets depending on where you live. Make sure to check those rear quarter panels
Rainwater leakage in is a common problem I believe. The highway mileage on the stock engine with tires around 35 is outstanding.

Do a bad the ugly the worst for the 7th gen civic. 😅
7th gen isnt that bad. Surely has better 0-60 times than the 6th gen for stock
Regarding how well one fits in the Civic, being 5'4, they are a good match for size. I've owned 3 over the years
ek hatch is my dream car. currently have a ej6 coupe but it's clapped out and i don't wanna put anymore money into it.
would love to see a good, bad, and ugly on the cobalt ss!
Do one on the mk6 gti

actually quite a few people rally these,
Completely wrong about the cup holders. They are big nothing fits in them. Your drink falls over after every turn

the country is just nice in general. quiet, lots of empty backroads, cost of living, can recommend. just don't be an a-hole, word goes round
There great! Only thing wrong is..(F)rown (W)heel (D)rive

Should I get an ek, rx8 or Bmw 130i?
Depends on what you like
It's Not Ugly to my eyes
is 200k miles too much for one
So it the automatic bad if your not worried about speed just really like the car and can’t drive a manual
These aren't that cheap anymore for low mileage
