Regarding the little girl whom died recreating the video, she was fined and paid a lump sum of money to the family regarding this situation. She made a Mea Culpa video about it explaining the situation and now all of her videos have warnings beforehand (even the old ones I believe) Today she is still making videos but all of her team is now involved one way or another. her frequence of making new content has dropped but she still stays very active on other contents.

So, in Greece back in the days of the ottoman empire the rebels used to wrap the meat and bury it with burning hot rocks so they don't have to get visible by lighting a bonfire. They would put the rocks in a Dutch stove for a few hours and then they would bury them with the meat but this thing takes about 11 hours to get cooked properly and it's AMAZING.

So, in Greece back in the days of the ottoman empire the rebels used to wrap the meat and bury it with burning hot rocks so they don't have to get visible by lighting a bonfire. They would put the rocks in a Dutch stove for a few hours and then they would bury them with the meat but this thing takes about 11 hours to get cooked properly and it's AMAZING.

The chicken is actually called 叫花鸡 or beggar chicken in English and it’s wrapped normally in banana leaves, then dirt, and then tin foil. Then placed into a fire to cook and the chicken comes out like in the video, juicy, tender, and flavorful!
I think it's lotus leave, tin and then dirt. At least the one I ate when I was young was done like that! Not sure about how it was done when tin foil was not invented as it was at least 400 years ago.
There is a similar dish which was invented in Zhou Dynasty and is done with piglet.
