- I'm going to share with you guys how I set up my franchise series here on the channel. This video is a step by step guide on what I do and how you can do it to! Idk how i stumbled on this video but I'm so thankful i did. I exclusively play franchise alone and this just changed the game for me, i was tired of having the same free agents every time i start a new rebuild lol. Everything you provided will add Character. Thank you.

SUCH A GOOD VID; I had no idea you could even do the stuff like manage other teams practice reps.
Its gonna suck so much doing it for all other 31 teams but the payoff seems so nice, hate the drop off from starters to bench players after even one season.
I have absolutely no desire to do any of this but im definitely gunna check out your franchise series. The amount of work you seem to put into these is insane

I always do all the cuts etc myself for all teams at week 4 preseason and save a base file in case I want to go back and start over I don’t have to redo it all. I also after I save it I retire from all the teams except for my team and see what kind of signings they do for next week, had d hop go to the rams, zeke go to bears I liked those so I go back into my base and make the signings. I go week to week doing that allowing the cpu to do some things on a separate file if I like it I’ll copy it over. I always also go in and upgrade players every week for teams in my division, every 4 weeks for everyone. And reorder the depth chart every time. At the trade deadline I see teams that may have an injured qb and trade them a viable backup like jameis winston. After like week 10 if a team is tanking I go in and put in rookies to get some xp if it makes sense like say titans tannehill if they’re not in playoff contention by week 10 I’ll put Levis in. I also do the same with the other file for resignings etc off-season moves. I watch what they do if I like it I put it into mine after week 1 of free agency I’ll put a bid in if no one on the other put one in.
Dang that is a lot of work 😂 but I respect it. It's a good idea to have a separate file so you can fix something if it's wrong. I just might have to steal that idea for my next franchise!
OMFG. I started a new franchise and saw this video. I wanted it to be realistic so I spent 30 mins adjusting all my Bucs players contracts to be up to date and their ages correct. I swear I must’ve spent an hour doing what you told me - the coaches thing so the CPUs give XP to backups-and before all this I had progressive fatigue turned off because I didn’t want to worry about the fatigue issues. Well, I didn’t realize fatigue off meant I couldn’t decide the practice reps for XP, so when I realized that I tried to change it back to progressive fatigue on, but since I was on a different character than the main commish one it wouldn’t let me. I didn’t know this, so I thought I had to restart. I then deleted that franchise and then moments after I realized my mistake. 2 FKN hours of hard work down the drain. I give up.
Yeah running it this way is a lot of work and must be done offline with a profile on the teams you are looking to keep control over. Sucks when things don't work out
I might have missed it, but do you change the "other" teams playbooks and schemes to better match their personnel?
I've done 32 team control in the past and have always done that, but I'm curious if you do, and if so do you see an effect?
Yes I do. The CPU usually upgrades players very direct for scheme fit but because they suck at resigning they end up with schemes in the 30% fit range and follow no real formula to make the team work. What I normally do is go through schemes and books and will change them if they are struggling.
I also go through the CPU offensive linemen and raise their attributes to make them a tad more balanced. If I leave it to the CPU they will never upgrade Agile if the player is power or pass protection so you will end up with OL that is 80 ovr power but 68 ovr agile which drives me nuts lol
After you set the weekly training can you go in and set it to auto? Like will it save the settings that you put in with split? I usually set the focus players for rookies or backups that are young and are in position battles. That’s why I constantly reorder the depth charts
Yes that is what I do. I have not noticed any significant changes taking place after I set it so I can only assume it holds what I set.

Yo I have a question on Fatigue. I have Progressive Fatigue on, I want there to be balanced stats at the end of the season should I keep the fatigue in Franchise Settings at 50, or if I change it to like 60 or 40 which one would result in more/less fatigue? If you know, if not no worries. Thanks again for this vid!
If you move the slider up it causes them to fatigue faster. Good thing is Madden finally fixed their progressive fatigue issue foe CPU teams so you shouldn't see too many issues with them anymore.
@@CBGamingYT7 sweet, thanks. Would you recommend (in a player v cpu) keeping practice reps still at 'SPLIT' in that case or?
@sethcostello3941 I would just because it's easiest to handle fatigue that way since it's spread out evenly amongst the whole team. You could play around with it and see what you like best
Hey CB! Quick question, for the players on teams that aren’t mainly controlled by you, do you have to manually upgrade them? I’m at the point right before the draft with your settings and many of the players on other teams are the same overall since i started the franchise.
There is a setting that you can set to auto for progressing players. You would have to make sure it's set to auto on all CPU teams you have profiles for. If that doesn't work, then check to make sure your training is set to some sort of split for the positions to ensure they are gaining XP.

@lomi8976 you're welcome. Also you may want to consider raising some of the XP sliders as well to allow the CPU to upgrade at a good rate.
@@CBGamingYT7 Okay, I was thinking of that. Since I didn’t have auto progress on, should I restart? There are many players that have 2-3 upgrade points waiting but I’m not sure if that’s how many they would’ve had if I had auto progress on from the start.
@@lomi8976 I would just continue forward. It should balance itself out soon enough. You can always up XP sliders for a season or 2 to allow them to catch up and then turn it back down.

this was truly a amazing tutorial. my only question was that i tried opening the madden trade calculator and the storyline and both of them said that they are unable to be opened on Excel. I am on mobile though and I wasn’t sure if they’re accessible on other devices or apps?
I was afraid of that. Ill edit the description to include links for Google drive. You should be able to download a copy from there and upload it to either excel or Google sheets with out issue

Do u go through the training every week for each team or does it just automatically do it after you do it for every team once
I leave training set to manual but I just have the CPU do it on advance. That way I can change something if need be but I still keep the CPU in charge
Do you do the extra 31 profiles on Madden 24 too? I didn't see it in that video so I don't know if something changed.
I did change it up this madden. I do it still offline, but I want the CPU to make decisions that they were not making when I had my profile on them. Now I just create a profile for a team if I really need to fix something. You can do this multiple times without issue, so I feel like it gives the franchise a better balance this year.
If you are a owner do you still have sceneries? Not just for dev ups but like the other ones too?
I honestly do not have an answer for that. I have not noticed any difference between the two, but I haven't exactly paid attention to that. Sorry!
Hey CB Ima Try this out Once The Next madden update comes out and is The next update in March?
I haven't heard when the next update is gonna drop but I would expect one in the next week or two.
So if every team is on auto I can change it to manual during the off-season if I wanted to trade kyler Murray if the cardinals get the number 1 pick?
Yes. You can always change those settings. Will have to sim a week for it to allow you to take control because everything auto happens on advance.
Will you be making a updated video of this for madden 24?
I am going to try and use more of the Madden AI this year to see if they did truly update it but if I do not like it then I will do another one of these for sure!
After the draft, do you have any suggestions for teams to rebulid, i want a team that doesn't have a Franchise/Future Franchise QB and isn't a great team
I got my eye on a few teams already for my next franchise and I use roughly the same guidelines.

I have been following your instructions and everything is playing really well, except the CPU has left lots of talented players available in FA, even though plenty of teams have a healthy cap. Have you experienced this?
Yes it's one of the few things I can't seem to fix without turning on sign free agents for the teams and manually bidding on players
I have been individually signing players for teams in the pre-season, but it’s taking an age. Just wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed something that you’re doing. Love the video and love your Texans franchise. Thanks for all the tips.
@daviddown8701 unfortunately not a quick fix yet. I'm really hoping the draft and resign logic us adjusted for M24 because then we should need to do all this just to enjoy a franchise. And thanks!
In the trade calculator, for dev traits it only says normal, quick, star, and superstar. Since quick doesnt exist in madden and x factor does, how should we treat the dev traits
I've treated them as normal=normal, quick=star, star=superstar and superstar=xfactor

Question shoud i use Progression Fatigue on or turn it off?
I personally turn it off but if you want to manage all teams every week and do the weekly training for them then you can keep it on. If you let the CPU do it they will end up making everyone super fatigued by week 14
Why dont you turn on auto progress talents so the other teams will progress and use talent points? or is that not what that means.
I do have auto progress talents and players turned on for the CPU teams.
In free agency only a few teams are signing players, I have all the free agency signing stuff on auto for all teams. (not the team I user) Do you know why that might be??
Do you have fill roster off or on? Also check on roster minimums that are set or a cut limit that is holding people on teams
@@CBGamingYT7 Oh I believe I left the fill roster setting on for all the teams but the roster minimums are set to how you said to put them

Can you make roster changes league wide without having to change owner characters? ex. Auto ReOrder all teams
I know in the beginning I was not able to. I have not checked since, I will when I get home tonight.
Do the teams make trades with each other if i put it on auto even though I'm controlling all 32 teams in the background.
Teams rarely trade with each other period, but it is none existent when you have a profile on them. I always had to manually do trades if I thought a player should go somewhere else.

When you user all 32 it can cause teams to not be as aggressive in certain areas. What I would do is jump on teams if there was a priority FA I thought they would sign and do it for them. It’s a ton of work of course for the extra realism unfortunately
I was wondering if this is just for sim because when I went to try and play a game it wont start and shows the other team needing to ready up?
No I do this in my Texans franchise all the time. I've never had that pop up for me before tbh. Are you offline?
Yes, not sure what it is. It shows another controller when trying to choose a team to play as. Had to retire the coach haven’t found a fix yet.
Its basically acting like if I was in a franchise with a friend and its waiting on them to ready up
@@vsellin9977 go to the settings of the other teams and make sure that "ready to advance" is set to auto under the manage area

So there's no way to change the teams we face because I keep getting the same teams to play against
In preseason? No. But the regular season should cycle through teams like the NFL does
This is kind off only realitsic way to play Madden I think. But I'm "lucky" to play on PC so that excel sheet of yours kind of built into one heck of a great mod called MyFranchise. I'm running all teams and in MFT you got this calculator and trade adjuster. You make all the trades "outside" of Madden even contracts if you like that and MFT saves the file when you step back.
Progression is made by a fantastic calculator, a bit random, in certain times of the season. Only thing missing is the odd parts you got in that excel, like player demanding a trade or arrested. That can easily be run longside MFT.
It's a lot of legworks but it's a great way to play, of course CPUvsCPU (even with another mod that takes away some crazy decision by QBs and on certain downs). I always make 3 rounds of draft myself that sounds reasonable, then let the AI have it's day for the fill-ins. As you mention it's crazy logic with the AI and it ruins the game to it run top draft picks.
So this episode and excels part added even a new touch to a PC player. I must say the PC mods and this extra app dierctlyu in ones PC are amazing and lifts the game to a level EA should have reached themself.

Can you or anyone help me how to read the defense when there in tight or close or compressed formations?????
I already know for the most part in general how to read the defense when there in Bunch or off wk or spread formations which I find much easier for me...

what do you come the draft if every pick is essentially human
I let the CPU make the pick and pay attention to the mock drafts to try and avoid having a team select a QB if they already have on. So usually I will look at the team that is up and mock draft says is taking a QB and will take the most needed position instead
on the story generator when it says "decrease top 3 traits by 2 points" is that referring to stats?
its referring to attributes so things like speed, catching, etc.

@4pf669 thanks! I try to keep all of my viewers up to date and informed. I tend to keep it as straight forward as possible and just do the highest rated attributes outside of speed and accel unless it's regarding the gaining weight one
