@@CBGamingYT7 Really long post, so brace yourself lol. I completely rebooted my franchise after watching your last Franchise Tips video and used the storyline generator, which I am loving. I’m having the most fun in Madden I’ve had in years thanks to your suggestions. Do you have any additional suggestions on formation subs? I’m trying to get a good balance between different RBs while also getting depth D lineman more playing time. I usually will do something arbitrary like subbing out the starter in increments of 5. (Ie Saquon is a 90 overall and I’ll Zack Moss is an 80. I’ll go to the third category down(ie like I Form Tight) and sub Saquon out to balance. (Again, I do the same for the D line). Do you have any thoughts or suggestions on better more practical management? Also, I like to do a 32 user team fantasy draft because I’m a lunatic. (Will just keep going until I get exhausted after like round 23, all based on scheme) Just wanted to point out a really aggravating bug that’s been around since Madden 21. Try doing a multi user fantasy draft and check the drafted screen after the first round. It will only show one teams draft, regardless of switching character. Thanks for reading and for your amazing content, even for Madden vets. Happy to be a new subscriber!!
@danielf4529 I have not done enough fantasy drafts to be familiar with the bug you are referring to, but I have heard of a few that happen when doing that, which sucks. That could be a fun side series tbh after reading this.. As far as the subbing out goes.. I would look at the main menu playbooks area to figure out what plays are being called in the book you use and then sub out for the formations that get used the most. Some coding will have 3 or 4 formations be 75% of playcalling, so if you are subbing out for one's that don't get used as much you won't get that rotation you are looking for.
I add the idea of only changing the schemes and playbook if it matches to the current offensive and defensive coordinator that i have. It adds a level of realism and decision making . Hiring a coordinator that has the scheme i want to run. Its kinda of a cheat if i have 3-4 team but none of the coaches and coordinators have that system
Im 40 and have played every Madden game this way. My brother and I run Franchise mode. Ive found sliders are so important. I would love to see what you have them set at. As I also do a ton of testing
Funny I thought I was one of the only one that plays cpu vs cpu. Nice to get some tips as I have always played this way funny many people used to laugh at me for doing so. Thank You Sir for this post!
Me too. It’s like ppl been coming out the woodworks last couple years. Tbh if u enjoy cpu vs cpu I urge u to check out relocation football league. I be watching just bout everyone of their games. They commentate over them too and are dang good at it too. All custom players as well and the custom players have someone that controls their career to a sense.
Even though i know most of this i did learn a few new things ..thanks for all the info..i enjoy your vids...you should do a video on custom playbooks if you havent already
The cpu passes to the te quite a bit. Te and hb are almost always covered by the safeties. I run a lot of man I’m sure we all do, I started to put my safeties in as the slot corners if they aren’t as good at man coverage as the guys I’d put in at those positions and have the better man coverage be the backup safeties when the safeties go to the slot the backup safeties will usually be guarding the te and say the safety has a slot receiver assignment I’ll double them with a linebacker and user the safety in the slot. I’m really watching the outside and passing them off to the linebacker if they cut across the middle then I’m breaking down into the flats the slot is only my assignment to jam him and watch outside the hash.
Could this be one of the best tip video on Madden ? I do think so. 😁 But if I missed something listening to this it was the effect/combo when getting into gameplans. Schould one in fact also change your schemes with your opponent for the week in mind. Before you are setting gameplans. If ones playbook works well (and players) with a couple of schemes surely mixing them with your weekly gameplan depending on your opponent is a way to go. Even if setting the weekly gameplan to run a lot inside one could pick a scheme that also got a lot of plays favoring that. That's even if you are good with one playbook and one scheme for your team, is changing schemes to counter opponents a way to go ?
Yes if you find a book that runs well out of different schemes then changing it up will help you control the types of plays that get called much more efficiently! I’ve noticed a lot of west coast zone run books work well with multiple zone run and even vertical zone run!
@@CBGamingYT7 Playing CPUvsCPU one better know since it's all up to the AI. Don't fancy to mess around within playbooks too much, like what plays to call when and such. It's too deep and I think Madden lack the important after game info on what plays was called, when and what outcome. If that would have been in the game it would be easier to mix and match. Wishing for that in Maden for the futres perhaps

Do you, or this style of gameplay have a discord or something? I'd love to ask some questions n learn more because im really enjoying it - but as you said somewhere, basically all there is is 1 play TD cover 3 beaters n stuff when it comes to madden content/community lol
appreciate it! I would say most of the settings that have changed were only for Madden 24 so if you use this video for your Madden 22 stuff I think a lot of it would translate well. Cool thanks man! And my pleasure hope u keep it up. Sorry for the double comment btw lost the other, looking forward to see what u said :) thx for the reply
Great video. I wondered if weekly strategy affected CPU play, but I'm too busy to test it. I'll definitely be changing how I play week to week. I would have liked to know some of your favorite scheme/playbook combinations for offense and defense. Right now the only thing anyone will say is "Vertical Zone run/ Tampa Bay and 4-3 Quarters/ Buffalo". I'm fine with Vertical Zone run, but I don't like the Slot Corner because I can never get them to stay slot corners and they end up gouging me on re-signs or I have to keep drafting them. Its annoying.
My formation subs reset in franchise mode after every game. Whats the point of having them. Its ridiculous that i have to play with starters on special teams unless i go in before every game and change it.
Unfortunately you have to have an account on the team for it to stay. You can change it if you are playing that team but of course that is only for that game.
Thats really tough to pinpoint because so many books work depending on how your team is made. I personally like the Vikings, Texans, Packers and SF books but im still going through them to find alternatives

for Kyler you definitely need something that is going to allow him to use his legs and the short game. I'd try pistol or spread for scheme and see if it works with some west coast type books. Cardinals and Ravens jump out at me but again it comes down to the rest of the team. check out my playbooks and schemes guide for some more detailed info, it's under the how-to playlist I created.

I agree that the game plan is what dictates most of what you see. I feel that the scheme does have an impact on the play. I have done a lot of testing over the years in cpu vs. cpu, and while I can't necessarily dictate what plays are called, I do see that certain players play better in certain schemes. For instance, my QB Dillon Gilbert has been a field general for over a season now but not until late last season did I switch my scheme to west coast zone run. Since that switch, I can see him making better decisions with the ball. I do agree with you for the most part, though.
