  • This tutorial covers how to faux marble a table top with epoxy resin. I do the design part in real time so it's slow going but it's the real time process so you can see just what it takes.

You are one of the reasons I got into epoxy over 2 years ago now, along with Stone Coat & RK3 Designs, where I took a class back in Feb 2022. This turned out really nice. Super simple, yet so elegant. Well done, girlfriend! ❤

Did your epoxy finishings ever got any yellow spots? On your kitchen are they heat safe?? (Like if I put a Hot pot on top of the countertop)

no, no yellow spots. Except when my husband spills his Tumeric powder on the counters. ;). I do occasionally set a hot pots on the counter when I'm draining pasta in the sink and it's totally fine, no burns. However you have to make sure the counters are COMPLETELY cured for at least 30 days.

How do you get your edge of the table to not have divits.

It was already pretty smooth. It must've been rounded over with router. That's the way it was when I got it.

    Hi,
What kind of paint do you use to mix in the epoxy for the white base?
    Thank you

I painted my table white before pouring the epoxy. The epoxy I poured first was clear. Then I mixed the grey using spray paint.

Gorgeous! Great detailed instructions as well. How much maximum working time do you usually have just in case my creativity is slower than your :) ???

You have about 45 minutes open time on the epoxy to get your design work done. In fact the more set up the epoxy is the more detailed your design will stay. the color that add at the beginning will be more subtle and blended into the background.
