- If you are tired of the tile backsplash try a solid surface backsplash with epoxy.

Great Job!!!!
Wow! That looks so professional 👏 I have watched quite a few videos and I think your marble pattern is what I want. I'm not sure if I can do, but I'm going to try a few small test pieces first. ❣
Thank you! You can do it.
Could you please do a video on your painting technique for the veining? It looks beautiful!
Thank you . I did a video on the veining part only. I’ll grab the link and send it to you here.
@@MimzyandCompany I found it earlier today! But tyvm for replying. Your video’s inspired me to try on my countertop. Wish me luck 🍀🤞🏽
@@rachelmanitowabi9627 you can do it! You won’t regret it!
I'm inspired.
Thank you!
Great job. Using 1/4 inch plywood, how difficult is it to keep it straight
It depends upon what kind of saw you use. If you use a jig saw it’s not easy. If you have a circular saw and straight edge then it’s easier. That’s why I used the factory edge for the most visible parts. Thank you.
Hi, great video! I'm thinking do the same for my wife's kitchen. Do you recommend me use 1/8 " playwood?
Thank you. I used 1/4” plywood. It’s actually called flooring underlayment. 1/4” is more sturdy, a little less flexi and “wavey”.
@@MimzyandCompany Thanks a lot 😀
When you say sealed, do you mean putting masking tape all around? will the epoxy bleed through masking tape?
Yes that would work. But caulk around the inside would be best.
Hey Mimzy, I have painted wood window sills throughout my house, and worse than that, they are painted with flat paint and i hate them. Have you by any chance done windowsills with a marble epoxy finish? do you have a video on that? if not, could you do one? :)
I’ve never done window sills before. But I imagine it would be pretty. You just have to make sure that it sealed all the way around or the epoxy will run into the wall , etc. .
hi, I would like to ask what the minimum thickness should be if I only pour the kitchen backsplash from the epoxy?
You can go as thin as you want. You just have to be able to cover the surface. You could essentially paint the epoxy onto the surface to spread it, which would give the thinnest coating.
Where is the French beige from
Home Depot or walmart
@mimzy & company is it regular paint or is it spray can?

@@MimzyandCompany perfect. Thank you
Holding up the back splash with those nails isn't appropriate. That epoxy isn't cured enough for hard use. You're going to create divots. If you look closely, you can see the head of at least one of the nails already partly embedded. Maybe try some wide shims.
Also, not sure if it's your pour technique (it's not shown), or whether the self leveling of your product is poor, but you can see a great deal of deep imperfections in the surfaces. Is your flood pour deep enough to self level? Are you using a top coat? Are you sanding between coats?
Thanks for the tips. It's not perfect, but far better than before.
@@MimzyandCompany Np. Thanks for the vid! if you use the silicone nail technique, you won't even need real nails to hold the panels up. There's a few good vids showing the technique where they're putting up epoxy shower panels. I'd link them, but I don't want to look like I'm endorsing a product lol.
@@Dr.PatrickC.Bailey huh. i'll have to check out the silicone nails product. thx
