SCJ infiltrating other churches and trying to recruit pastors is a one up on the WMSCOG 😂. The WMSCOG teaches that even setting foot in another church causes spiritual death 🙄
Nice set of insights from the discussion you guys had.
When we've heard a thing repeated over and over again, that doesn't make it correct. However, it can lead us to believe and accept that the thing itself is correct even when it's not, because we can sometimes confuse a statement's familiarity with accuracy.
As the saying goes knowledge is power and ignorance is powerlessness.

I just left this group today. With individuals they don’t tell you the name of there group the only way I found out was I was sending people invites on social media and someone warned me. I had been meeting with them about 10 months and when I asked them are we SCJ she said yes but we don’t tell people that in the beginning was such a red flag. I just wanted more knowledge and understanding that I get from a Sunday sermon.

Happy to see this. Just got off a call with an SCJ member, we have been meeting for the past 2 weeks. He was addressing some of my concerns. He very sincerely believes, confesses Christ as his Lord, knows his way around scripture etc. It's a bit confounding speaking to someone like that. I need more info on this group so this is helpful
I'm glad the video is helpful to you! It can definitely be confusing talking to members of groups like the SCJ who have such a sincere faith and passion for the bible, yet are so confused in their beliefs about it. I hope things go well with this person you are meeting with and that you can help them to get free.
I am currently in the group. I get distracted by the boredom but i began to question some things. They said that the reason for the deception is one Jesus didnt reveal who he was before he taught. He also said bc Abraham didnt tell his wife when he was taking Isaac up to be sacrificed. I told him i didnt need NewJohn and they said it is the fulfillment of the word. Im so thankful for this. This was really informative, both in respect to the group as well as just basic theology. Perhaps the pastor could put out a series of videos on basic theology, he is really really clear and I think a lot of people would benefit. I agree with the pastor in that some churches don't teach the bible. The church I am in (Methodist UK) are very weak on bible study and a lot of the pastors have a very liberal hermeneutic. It is why I almost got caught by them.
Great video! Definitely need to emphasize how they think that lying is okay! I met many SCJ members, here in Korea, who straight up said, "Yeah, lying is OK." The Bible is explicit that it's a sin! Even if it was okay, why would you WANT to be living a life full of lies?

@Fattboiixx , every person lies. We are all fallible, and we are all sinners. If someone lies in the Bible, that doesn't mean the Bible is promoting it. There are murders and theft in the Bible, but that doesn't mean the Bible is promoting those things.

Shincheonji-members are Christian believers who love Jesus, pray to God, pray for their enemies (maybe for you?), study and teach the Bible and have a special oppinion concerning the Revelation. This is not forbidden. They do not change any word in the Bible. They do not force anybody to join their congregation nor do they hinder anyone to leave them. They do not steal money from their members. They obey the Ten Commandments and the national law. They are no criminals, and there way of living Christianity is protected by the UN Declaration of Human Rights. Therefore, let us tolerate and respect them as we tolerate all religions.
