I think it better starts not from scratch but from DIY kit they are cheap and good for starting. That what I did.. you can see the process in my channel. and you can see it in channels like guns and guitars and many more.

It’s just a Velcro disk on a angle grinder, so you can stick abrasive disks on it.

It’s just a simple Velcro plate and generic Velcro attached sanding discs.
