    Where do you source your bridge/tuner hardware?

  • @adrienami8958

    A small tip: the plastic knobs and cover for the pickups pull down the entire design. Nothing that you guys can't fix.

    • @Biarnel
      @Biarnel  2 роки тому

      The knobs are made of brass.
      Wooden pickup covers are an option, but not everybody likes them: this customer choose plastic covers.

    Buongiorno Sig. Emiliano. Posso chiedere il suo parere a livello di pickup piu' idonei ad un basso headless? Nel senso che visto che generalmente un basso senza paletta oggettivamente perde delle frequenze dovute alla mancanza della vibrazione della paletta quale sarebbe secondo la sua esperienza la miglior configurazione dei pickup che garantisca una ripresa del suono piu' completa? Humbucker, doppio humbucker, versione PJ reverse ecc.... Grazie mille!!! E' un aspetto che non ha mai trattato nei suoi video!!!!!

    • @Biarnel
      @Biarnel  Рік тому

      Eh, non “perde” proprio nessuna frequenza. Probabilmente questo sarà oggetto di un prossimo video sui falsi miti, grazie per lo spunto.

    Im currently building a Thunderbird bass, and had a catastrophe with the headstock. Long story short, remember to sharpen your drill bits everyone, it gripped and turned sideways and broke the headstock. Can you recommend a headstockless tuner. Perhaps offer a bit more walk through on how to install one. Im working with a Mohogany neck and a rosewood lamination on a neckthrough thunderbird (if it matters). Wings are the prettiest Leopard wood Ive seen in awhile.

    What's the advantage of titanium rods over carbon fibre? Or is it just subjective?

    • @Biarnel
      @Biarnel  4 роки тому +1

      Rob Marmaduke carbon fibre is very very stiff. Titanium is really strong but it permits a certain oscillation, resulting in a better tone. It’s complicated, I know.

    • @keefer88
      @keefer88 3 роки тому

      I would actually prefer carbon fiber rods, it doesn't generally have the extreme thermal expansion properties of the metal varieties. Perfect for a straight neck every season in my opinion. I doubt you or anyone else could ever tell which rods an electric guitar or bass may or may not have.

    Awesome work! What is the sanding disc you use in the angle grinder?

    • @Biarnel
      @Biarnel  4 роки тому

      Berserkr696 it’s just a very common 80P grit sanding disc.

      @@Biarnel my bad, I meant it by what company did you use for your bridge system, I'm in the process of a build myself and im looking to only get the headless tuning system but not that saddles because I wanna kinda copy what stradi symphony basses do and have either a wood bridge or brass bridge
