I would suggest to listen her performance of "La Rondine" on cover night of Sanremo 2024
she payed a tribute to her father, famous Italian singer Pino Mango, who passed away in 2014.

C'est pas grave ! J'espère qu'il aura une place plus qu' honorable et fera la surprise. La chanson italienne de l'année dernière était un peu dans le même style, en moins bien , et l'Italie a ENCORE était très bien placée , à mon étonnement. Quand c'est l'Italie qui chante l'amour, c'est merveilleux et quand c'est la France , c'est boring, ennuyeux...? Je crois que certains pays sont chouchous dans le cœur des européens, quoi qu'ils fassent 😂Ce n'est pas le cas de la France.!

For me: Italy (whole package is perfect), Sweden (mostly because of the staging), France (because I love Slimane, just not this song completely ), Uk (Because I love Olly, but his lives where very very underwhelming and he looked extremely unhappy and static), Spain (because it's more or less fun), Germany (meh).

You could react Estonian eurovision song "Leto svet", which was in 2008. It has been called the worst Eurovision song and some have compared it to this year's Estonian eurovision song. This year there was only ever 9 places to claim in each semi. There is no way Ukraine or Israel will nq this year even if Jerry Alyona and Eden forget all their words and start losing their voices.
You got it right “if a song makes me feel happy, that’s what I want”. You may or may not like the Spanish song but you can’t deny it has something that makes you feel good. It indeed sounds outdated cuz its the style of the band (80s sounds) and with the current eurovision entries (modern pop in 80% of the cases) it sounds “odd” or outdated as you claimed, I think that is not a problem tho. As far as people can enjoy it in Malmö and have fun screaming Zorra from top of their lungs that will be enough for us. Eurovision should not just be about winning ir losing but about having fun with music and bringing different sounds from each country. Im from Spain and I have to say that I was shocked when they won Benidorm Fest but now I cant get the melody and lyrics out of my head, so catchy. Thank you for the reaction and honest opinions 🫶🏻

It's not that in the past not all the editions hosted have been wonderful. Considering that Italy had not hosted for 30 years, it didn't go so badly, what was so serious or terrifying??
