Nice review. I bought the matt black model on sale. I've been wearing a Shoei RF-1200 for a long time. This helment seems lighter and roomier inside and still fits snuggly, inspiring confidence. I did buy the rain guard separately, only to find that one was included with the helmet. I'm happy with this. The hex key tools requirement for face shelf removal doesn't bother me because the fit and finish is great and there didn't seem to be any quirky trick to detaching or re-attaching the face shield. I also like the under-chin space extra air.
Not much, to be honest. It doesn’t have a chin curtain to mitigate wind in the eyes, and while the helmet is comfortable and well-padded, there’s a fair amount of wind noise inside.
I just got a the eliminator helmet and I see a reflection in the lens I can see my face and nose it’s kind of distracted when I’m riding does your lens have that?
I just bought the Bell Eliminator helmet. Pros- 5 star Sharp rating with all green in the impact zones. Lightweight. Comfortable. Quality face shield plastic. Cons- The rivets on top loosen when you remove the rain shield. The face shield has the STUPIDEST retention system. You need TWO Allen wrenches, a 2.5mm and an 8mm wrench! Yes, I said EIGHT. They’ll be no quick removal to clean it or to reinstall it. Plus don’t lose the plastic washers. Just plain dumb. Then to raise the shield you have to flex it out to get it over the locking nub. PITA. Idiotic design.

Glad to hear! We both still wear and enjoy our helmets as well.
I just bought mine on clearance. I wanted white, but they were out, so I wound up with mat-black.
It’s a good helmet, we both still ride a lot with them.
How much did you pick it up for ?
What glasses are your wearing? They look like they don't fog up. My regular prescription glasses always fog up
Favorite helmet
We’ve always loved Bell helmets. Long, storied history of great quality lids.
Hello, does this helmet make a lot of wind noise? I'm trying to buy a retro helmet that has good noise control.

We honestly haven’t noticed that. Might be the light and it’s angle on the lens?
On the eliminator, does your mouth or nose touch the chin bar?
No, neither touch the chin bar.
Thank you 💟
