Thank you my friend for all the uploads. You have done a remarkable job of educating me, thru your vast fishing experience and knowledge and I would like to say to you and your buddies keep up the good work! Truly an inspiration to me
SASEONG!!!!! WHERE ARE U?!?! 😂 Hoping everything is well with you, halibut season just reminded me of all your videos. I accomplished catching my first trout mini jigging. Now it's time to catch my 1st ever halibut! I won't let u down SASEONG!!!!🙏
I've been away from surf fishing for many years, I'm a fly fisherman and enjoy the Eastern Sierra. Haven't done Surf since the 90's and use to hit it hard way back in the 70's. So, Im thinking on returning to the surf mainly for Halibut and notice a change in equipment, like the use of braided line! Why the change and what is best for this type of fishing. Appreciate your time in making these instructional videos. I want to thank in advance for any help you offer to me. Peace brother....
I prefer using spinning reel on the surf. Cuz I like to hear the drag sound lol I use bait casting reels for bass fishing in fresh water. For more accurate casting, bait caster works better for me.
I enjoyed. Great tutorial for myself, I was always curious on how to tie the drop shot for future outings when I want to try another way while lure fishing. Quick ?, About how many inches from lure to weight is preferably best for more productive results?
Personally, the length between hook and weight is not a big deal. I keep it between 1ft to 1 1/2. I’m planning to make another video about the length soon. Thanks for your comment:)
Just use Carolina rig with 1.5 inches grubs motor oil colors. Size 2-6 bait holder hook or straight shank. 20 to 12 pound leader mono wanna go fancy use flouro.
That’s sad that you don’t trust me but I’m sure you trust your friends. That’s okay I understand you. My friends know how I don’t eat fish. I only eat the fish I catch once or twice a year. You can trust me. I maybe can be your friend. 👍😊
@@CastNreeL82 your right I apologize for assuming I just see too many people take undersized fish that's all man no hard feelings but good fishing tho man
Very concise, easy to see knots, good progression. Thank you.

Nice catch, I just caught a halibut on my channel like a week ago
What test is your line?
At the time, I believe I used 25# braid and 12# fluorocarbon leader
Dip it, before ya cinch it.. boom shakalaka,
White baits
Dip it!
Fish On!!
Great tutorial for beginner!! subbed.. BTW how far between the hook and sinker?
Thanks :)
I do 1ft to 1 1/2ft. Depends on the condition of the day. Slower day longer line and slow retrieving.
Thank you !
Thanks 😊👍

why not a heavier 7 0r 8 weight fly rod? they get Halibut in the surf in Orange Co. fly fishing.
Any free parking at this spot ?
There’s one by the curbs on Seapoint st.
You prefer. Spinning. Reel. Or bait caster

Rod length and power and reel size for this?

@@CastNreeL82 You're welcome.
What size hook are you using? 3/0?
I use 2/0 for the rig.
what reel are you using? (the baitcaster) Great video!
I use Lew’s Speed Spool.
Thanks for watching :)
Does this work for surf perch ?
Just use Carolina rig with 1.5 inches grubs motor oil colors. Size 2-6 bait holder hook or straight shank. 20 to 12 pound leader mono wanna go fancy use flouro.
👍👍👍
2번째 knot 이 제가 한거 에요
그러게 ㅎㅎㅎ
나도 연식이 이제 좀 되나봐 한번 보고 접수가되네 ㅎㅎ
I use a palomar with floro all the time no problem.🤷♂️
That’s cool. I’ve got some problems and found second choice :)
No release on camera cause u kept that 20 inch halibut lmao

What size line do you use
I use 8- 12# test line for the dropshot rig.
