I use this rig when I’m sure there’s fish but no bite. Works not bad lol. Little bit bigger action works better for me. Thanks for watching :) Have a blessed day ~
Ha! Korean ah-juh-shi always thinking his rigs are better! Maybe they are! You should have a translator for your korean conversations with the other ah-juh-shi. Very entertaining! Keep making these videos; they're excellent. Always education up front and entertainment at end!!!! Thank you from Northern California....
You should wet the line around any knot before pulling it, hopefully that was skipped just for the video! If you look closely at the line around the hook you can see it became slightly 'wavy'. That's because the friction from the knot becoming tightened has affected the line there and can be the weak point in a breakoff.
That’s right. You know how to do it :) I missed the part. I believe that is the most important part of the knot. I have some videos for the knot tournament, you may know already. Thanks for your kind and pin point comment :) Have a blessed day ~
I like this setup, can I try at the pier. It's end of the season so I wait to next year to buy license so I can do surf fishing. Look fun! I do have question, why fisherman use bucktail jig or swim bait (because no live bait?)? I tried to mimic the technic at pier but look like an idiot without a bite lol
Bucktails and swimbaits imitate baitfish really well but you have to know how to work them. Generally if you are trying to cover a lot of water it's a fairly efficient way to do it, plus it doesn't snag/tangle the bottom easily if you're doing it right (vs rigs like this that work better on sandy bottomed beaches)
@@SamLiu4Prez thanks for sharing and explaining the methods. Now I known baitfish more for advance, experience fishermen and more practical inshore fishing. Piers might not be a right choice to me.
@@luckythi4315 No problem! For pier fishing I'd look at sabiki rigs for catching smaller baitfish, and a simple high-low rig for catching almost anything else. I use fish finder rig with big hook for sharks and rays. Bait fishing off piers is good because you aren't really moving around that much on a pier. From the shore or jetty you can keep moving to find the fish, thus the other techniques. Carolina rigs are great anywhere there's a sandy bottom or just fewer things you could get snagged on. If you want to fish higher in the water column a carolina rig with a bobber instead of a sinker can work pretty well too. It's all about understanding what fish live near you and what their habits are for the day you're choosing to fish. For example I'm on the east coast right now and striped bass are running. They're eating sand eels, so I throw sand eel imitations and try to make it look like sand eels swimming around. I use bucktails too because they imitate bunker and other baitfish around here very well. When it gets to be late december the fish will have moved on from here, and it won't matter what I throw :)
@@SamLiu4Prez awesome! Finally I understand how and why. My tackle box is full of gears (watching too much UA-cam lol) but never able to explore. I need to wait for next year after I purchased license. Thanks again!
What a awesome setup for casting for halibut. Thank you
Thanks for your kind comment 😊🙏
Which setup are you using mostly? Just wondering :)
I called the size.19in.
Nice halibut🐟🐡🐠🐙✌😁✌
I don’t remember 😅😅
I think it’s about the size lol
That's why you wet line when tying knots. Heat from friction will cut line like butter.
That free rig is pretty awesome looking. Ive done a double drop shot, but that looks better for presentation. Thanks for the rig idea. Cool videos.

Thanks for your comment. Very encouraging 👍
Great video. Much better than other videos I see where people talk to much. I like how you just show what you do.
Love the set-up . Will set one up tonight so that it's ready the next time I go out. Thanks for showing
Thanks for watching :)
How did it go?
@@aaronovski9949 I've used that set up about four times and nothing yet . Still not giving up on it.

What rod and reel do you use. Thanks for the videos
I use different brands but Medium Fast around 7ft long rod.
I use spinning reel for this setup. 2500 to 3000 spool size.
Thanks for watching :)
Do they or whomever sale those preassembled..✌️🇺🇸
I don’t think they sell it. Try~! It’s fun 🤩
Looks like it would tangle up on cast?
It’s possible but luckily I’ve got no tangle yet lol
What power rod do you recommend using?
It depends on the weight of the sinkers you are using. I use Medium Fast action rod for 1/2oz to 3/4oz.
ㅎㅎ 좋아요
Thanks ~
How heavy is the weight your throwing?
It depends on the lures and lines
I use 1/2 and 3/4 oz
Nice. 👍 subbed
Thanks :)
Where is here?
멋집니다. ^^
감사합니다 ㅎㅎ
What size line do you make your leaders with
I used 12# test line for the rig.
